  • COVID – The Second Wave and India: A Tale of Two Months

COVID – The Second Wave and India: A Tale of Two Months

January 29: A quick recap of how the faith of Indians turned and twisted in 2 months as the second wave of Covid hit India. To say the least, the country was not prepared for such a massive toll on the healthcare system, and it collapsed. The country’s population gasped for air, and simultaneously, the markets crashed. Let’s have a look step by step at how it all turned out.

Let’s take a look at the headlines in March of 2021 (10 months ago) –

    1. Under 10,000 cases a day for a population of 1.4 billion people
    2. Lowest fatality rates in the world.
    3. The country opened up after the strictest lockdown ever known
    4. Industrial production inched back to pre covid levels
    5. Stock Markets were touching an all-time high
    6. India vaccine exporter to the world. Supplied to over 70 countries
    7. 6 Indian vaccines are under production. Frontline workers vaccinated
    8. India hailed in global media as a beacon of hope for tackling covid

Now let’s have a look at the month of April 2021 (9 months ago)

    1. In less than 30 days, India went from 10,000 cases/ day to 4 lac/day
    2. From being a vaccine exporter, India became a vaccine importer
    3. Local lockdowns imposed by each State. GDP hit once again
    4. Ten times increase in demand for Medical Oxygen across cities.
    5. From 900 MT India needed 9000 MT of Oxygen
    6. Breakdown of health infra as capacity could not keep up
    7. Medicine shortages and basic health infra- not available.
    8. Images of Indians dying and breathless splash global media
    9. From being hailed as a beacon, India shown as a failing State

    Interesting data point –

The first to be hit was Mumbai in the month of March. India’s financial capital

Next to be hit was Delhi in the month of April. India’s Capital

Finally – Bangalore was hit in the month of May 2021. India’s IT Capital

What went wrong (In one Month)

    1. The variant India got hit by is supposed to be 50% more virulent. Came in from the UK and South African strains
    2. An international influx of passengers especially from Canada and the UK increased (especially to participate in the farmer’s protests etc)
    3. States took their eye off the ball and did not announce lockdowns
    4. The Center was in the middle of elections in West Bengal. Took eye of too
    5. While we can blame election rallies and religious gatherings to some extent, the exponential increase of 10 times in the cases in less than one month needs more analysis

How did India tackle the Second Wave – (the good news)

    1. From a caseload of 4 lac cases/day and positivity rate of 18%, India is down to 95K cases/day with a positivity rate of 5%
    2. India continues to have the lowest fatality rates in the world (adjusting for unaccounted deaths and unreported deaths too). It is at 1.11%
    3. Highest recovery rates in the world. 96%
    4. Amongst the highest vaccinations in the World. Passed the 24 cr ie 240 million mark. Yet that is just 15% of our population.
    5. India is testing the highest number of people in the World. Uttar Pradesh (the largest State in India, larger in population than Brazil) is testing 2 lac, people, a day. 375 million in total. 2 million tested in a day (India)
    6. Oxygen supplies went from 900m MT to 9000 MT in less than 40 days. The entire country was moving oxygen on railways, seas, Indian Air Force flights, international flights. Countries went all out to help India create Oxygen capacity and it was the largest most complex logistical exercise undertaken. Today India is self-sufficient and many States have quadrupled their capacity (in anticipation of a third wave)
    7. India is amongst only 5 countries that have vaccines for Covid. 4 more vaccines are under development and 1 will be an inhaled version.
    8. India lowered the vaccination age from 45 to 18 thereby getting a larger population to be involved. Currently, it is estimated that India will hit herd immunity by Sept 30th. This is at 10 million jabs a day.
    9. 10 million jabs are equal to the entire population of countries like Qatar, Kuwait or Singapore per day
    10. The Private Sector and the Center came together in many ways. Many large organisations contributed their CSR funds to the PM Cares funds and also vaccinated their employees.
    11.  The RBI played a key role in providing financial support to the Economy. Many credit lines announced ample liquidity. Non-printing measures
    12.  The Indian Government has provided food grains and pulses to over 800 million Indians for the last 10 months and will continue to do so for the next 6 months. Largest food distribution program in the World.

India has been hit and it hits hard. But it is healing and getting back on her feet. It is not a country that will falter or fail. India will fight and excel. We tackled the first wave brilliantly. The second wave caught us by complete surprise. But never again.

In the meantime, the global news is now rife with articles suggesting that Covid may be lab produced and may have been leaked. A dimension that directly means reparation and payback. Let’s see what the future holds.

  • Genius Entrepreneur: Naveed Mian – The Man Who Makes His Dreams A Reality

Genius Entrepreneur: Naveed Mian – The Man Who Makes His Dreams A Reality

January 29: Meet Naveed Mian, a young and fastly rising entrepreneur who started his journey when he was just a kid. His “sudden” success was not a result of luck. He poured hours into studying numerous financial markets, established a healthy relationship with money, and got started without knowing where the path would lead. Naveed combined entrepreneurship with adventure and is now known for many of his pursuits ranging from private talent management to investing and being a founder of many companies. Today, Naveed is a published entrepreneur, a founder of Adapt corporation, BullAI and Cementeros United, a construction firm. He fixated on what was important to him, gathered experience he was proud of; and this was just the start.

Naveed moved to the U.S. at the age of 4, his parents being immigrants. His father’s education did not mean much in America, causing Naveeds father to work endlessly in many trades, one being as a mechanic and then owning a towing business, all of which in the pursuit to provide for his family. Naveed saw the work ethic his father carried and the rigors of real-life affecting his family, and this fueled him and his dreams. If his father could do it, he knew he could do it.

When people dream, they view them as just that; a dream. Unattainable, intangible, fiction. At the age of 9, Naveed developed a taste for knowledge and learned the most important tool any person would need, financial literacy. Naveed focused on leaders, businessmen, billionaires. He focused on the patterns, the types of people they were, what they did with the money. With the help of his father and himself, he collected enough capital to enter the stock market as his first venture into the world of finance. In the first month, Naveed lost close to $4,000, leaving him with approximately $6,000. Naveed did not quit; he took a break and reevaluated his strategies and approach to the market. After studying the stock market with a new perspective and more experience, he jumped back in. And a few days later, waking up to see his account had broken above $20,000 on a single financial trade.

During this time, Naveed started working with famous celebrities due to his peaking interest in talent management. He studied the growth of social media  and worked with many influencers with the following stretching from a few hundred thousands to tens of millions, but this period of his life was brief, as he had been preparing for college.

Currently, Naveed is a licensed real estate agent and founder of several companies. Naveed has founded a private holding company, Adapt Corporation; which engages in real-estate, cryptocurrency and NFT holdings, AI technology development, robotics and business acquisitions in all sectors from construction to technology innovation. He is also a co-founder of BullAi, A pre-seed AI & financial data tech company, and co-founder of Cementeros United, a construction firm in his home state. Naveed views each opportunity as an adventure, catering what he chooses to pursue to his long term vision. Naveed has never been a short term thinker and is always looking for positive development in this world and our everyday society. Needless to say, Naveed Mian is making his dreams into a reality as he pushes forward towards innovation and adaptation. As said once before, Naveed is here to “create an empire that can be felt and be seen by generations.” This may be the first you have heard of Naveed Mian, but it certainly will not be the last. The chronicles of Naveed Mian have just begun.

McDonald Emiantor : A rapper, An Entrepreneur or both?

January 29: McDonald Emiantor, who is popularly known as Traidmarc, was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He was raised by his mother, who was a school teacher. He grew up along with his 7 siblings. Later they moved to London. There was something very special about this little boy! We will talk about it today in this article.

It became his weakness and his strength too. He discovered both his musical talent and production capabilities and quickly turned his hunger into a passion. It has to be said that Traidmarc has experienced some sunny days, stormy nights and turbulent times too. He never stopped working and struggling to achieve his dream; while everyone was on the same boat, he disembarked and planned to own a ship. He released his first track ‘Come Dance with me’ in 2011, which helped him to get into the limelight. Then he released his second hit ‘Got My Eyes on You’ in 2013. Entrepreneur Traidmarc knew exactly what he wanted and turned his skills into a successful business. He believes a true entrepreneur can build millions by using his mind as his most powerful asset. No matter who you are or where you are from. He has also worked as executive producer of Industry Leaders TV show broadcast on Foxtel and Ten Network in Australia. After achieving his dream life, Traidmarc focuses on his consistency and his true fashion sense. He conveys “consistency is the key, never lose it. Everyone has different assets and are blessed with different skills. Your job is to find those skills and assets and shift yourself from rags to riches.” he now epitomises his mantra “bosslife” as a way to motivate and encourage others to learn from his story and be motivated to succeed in their chosen endeavours.

  • What’s Next for Digital? In Conversation With Wire Monster CEO Siddharth Bhan

What’s Next for Digital? In Conversation With Wire Monster CEO Siddharth Bhan

January 29: In their journey, every entrepreneur faces multiple challenges and opportunities, whether they are an individual or a team.

The young entrepreneur from Jammu, Siddharth Bhan, graduated in Computer Science and runs a successful digital marketing agency today. The combination of his passion for technology and deep understanding of client needs has enabled him to build a successful agency serving clients in a variety of sectors and countries. He discusses how he transitioned from being a freelancer to owning his own digital marketing agency and shares his experiences.

“The path to success is different for every entrepreneur. In their journey, every entrepreneur faces multiple challenges and opportunities, whether they are an individual or a team. Digital is the need of the market, and it is here to stay.”, says Siddharth.

Operating a multi-faceted media business like Wiremonster gives you a “whole of market” perspective. What are the three areas of digital growth you believe are most promising at the moment?  What are the best 3 things you have learnt about digital marketing?

Quite a big question! It is challenging to pinpoint the most important aspect of running a business. I believe, however, that data, content, and technology together have grown to become increasingly significant for all companies. The reason for that is very simple: new trends in digital marketing are changing the way businesses trade every day, and marketers need to keep up with those changes.

After almost a year and a half, I can say that data, content, and technology will continue to be key factors in how marketers target audiences. I’ve learnt that when done right, digital marketing is a powerful way to reach customers, tell your story, and grow your business.

Which services do you offer, and what are your clients most interested in?

We care about our clients and the contacts we make with them. So once a client has signed with us, we make sure to remember that connection for the long run. We use a robust marketing process based on the rules: Start Small and Measure, Learn, Adapt.

With a 76% increase in ad-post engagements on social platforms and following a unique strategy, we know how to find the right audience for a business. Additionally, as part of developing a strategy for our clients, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the competition to identify opportunities for our clients.

We offer everything you need to succeed with marketing, growth hacking with organic methods, paid ads, sales funnels, influencer networks etc. i.e everything marketing.

It is a demanding job, so what inspires you to get out of bed each day and find the energy?

Our industry offers the most exciting possibilities, and as a result, we gain valuable experience and knowledge. We get to work on the most exciting projects, and we have access to great opportunities, so it keeps me thriving for more.

Give us a little background on how the idea for Wiremonster came into your mind and what is your mission?

The digital marketing landscape has changed dramatically in recent years. It has become imperative for all businesses to have a digital marketing strategy, from competing on search engines to showing up consistently on social media. WireMonster does just that.

Having the idea to start an agency simmered in the back of my mind for a long time. Yet, It was not until I met my business partner that I took the plunge.

WireMonster’s team helps brands connect with customers digitally. The startup’s mission is to help businesses reach the right audiences and create stellar brand experiences. Our goal is to help small businesses and startups prosper in a competitive market by maximizing their investment in online branding.

I recommend being authentic and not being afraid of communicating with your audiences, as this is what will carry your brand forward.
How do you see the business growing in the next 3-5 years?

Our marketing services division is growing rapidly, and we plan to expand into five more countries by the end of the year.

Additionally, we are working on a new travel startup StayTales, because we love to travel and want to help other explorers enjoy their stays when they travel. With more than 1,000 influencers and 700 homestays on our platform, we curate travel experiences. Our aim is to uplift those small-scale stays that are unable to aggressively promote themselves.

How did you like the last book you read? And one you would recommend…

Hit Makers: The Science of Popularity in an Age of Digital Distraction was the last book I read and is highly recommended.

My favourite, though, still has to be Digital Marketing 2020 as each chapter provides a valuable insight into how concepts have changed and how methods have improved as the years have passed.

Stufflane.com brings Just the Good Stuff changing the lives of people!

Mumbai, January 29: In today’s modern world of a hectic lifestyle, many people are seen facing problems with health, wealth, dealing with negativity, etc.

Not that our early generations were not having similar problems in those days. But somehow, they were aware of something, some knowledge, which they inherited from their ancestors and by using same they managed their ways out. Taking a close look, we will realise that they certainly possessed, some ancient and natural solutions to deal with these difficulties.

But, as we evolve, society has turned down those solutions claiming it to be a “myth”. Science has overpowered us and we disowned some good traditions under the pretext of superstitions. But many people who followed certain traditions are still seen benefiting from them.

The most obvious of them are celebrities, whom you may see wearing or carrying some or other mystical figures. You may also wonder as to why they possess such talismans. And you treat it as their fashion symbol. But not all accessories are worn for fashion. Some of them are strange yantras. And they are worn with some purpose. It may be to bring stability or to attract wealth or to ward off an evil eye.

As it is said that “every lock has some key”, similarly “every problem has some solution”. You just need to be open to accept it and be ready to find a cure to your unique problem.

You may be feeling as if wealth and prosperity are eluding you despite your best efforts or you may be facing negative energy blocks, but there is a cure for everything. Things are in right place, but you just need to find them.

Take, for example, Kubera Yantra. A numerical wonder explored by our ancient forefathers and even attracted scientist across the world to work on various Magic Squares around it. Also known as Kubera Kolam and in many places, it is drawn using rice flour. It is a symbolic representation of God Kubera who is considered to be a God of Wealth and Riches. It is believed that if one worships the Kuberakolam as ordained in the scriptures, he/she will be rewarded with wealth and prosperity. For many generations, this yantra is drawn with a belief that it opens new avenues of income, increases the ability to gather funds, and works on growth in business and career advancement. https://stufflane.com/products/the-card-of-abundance

Similarly, in the case of dealing with negative energy blocks, the Black Tourmaline is considered a powerful natural energy stone that helps remove negative energies. The crystal helps create a shield around a person or room and prevents the entry of negative or unwelcome energies. It is also helpful in balancing the body chakras and is considered perfect for people with busy lives as it helps them relax and sleep better.https://stufflane.com/products/natural-black-tourmaline

Many people feel a lack of confidence while facing people at interviews or in public forums. More particularly they feel their aura is getting disturbed by some external forces. They feel scared. They get nervous and eat up their words while speaking. They lose connection in between the communication and slip their tongue. It all happens due to some fear unknown to them. But ancient people were having solutions to this problem as well. They used to carry some stones with them while going out for any important work or meeting any important person. Not all information about these pebbles is available now. But one stone called Tiger Eye is getting a lot of attention from people. It is called the Stone of Confidence, which, as the name suggests, enhances confidence. This stone comes both in raw form as well as natural polished form. It is believed to help users to get rid of fear and allow them to remain calm even under tremendous pressure. The stone has been used by Egyptians and Romans since ancient times.https://stufflane.com/products/tiger-eye-natural-polished-the-stone-of-confidence

Yet another recent addition to the market is the Fragrance Of Temple, which contains Gangajal, Ashtagandha (mixture of eight fragrant ayurvedic herbs), and a secret fragrance, and is a natural way for creating a blissful and divine atmosphere at home or office. While gangajal is known to have the power to ward off evils, Ashtagandha is an important part of pooja and has a soothing effect.https://stufflane.com/products/fragrance-of-temple

stufflane.com came across various such rare collections which are seen leading to positive changes in the lives of thousands of users. It’s their endeavour to explore as many ancient secrets as they can so as to share same with the user to benefit their multi-fold growth.
