  • Harish Jagtani Foundation successfully launched the free dialysis coverage campaign

Philanthropic activities of Mr. Harish Jagtani and HJ Foundation

India, December 9: “Charity isn’t about pity; it is about love.” These lines of philanthropist and Noble peace prize winner “Mother Teresa”, always find their true meaning as and when we talk about the Harish Jagtani Foundation. Located in the Kinshasa City of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this foundation is helping thousands of people across Africa and beyond in multiple ways.

Whether it’s spreading awareness about Chikungunya or helping the needy with food, healthcare, and shelter, the Harish Jagtani Foundation is leading the way on the CSR front in DR Congo.

Just last year, the Harish Jagtani Foundation, Led by renowned philanthropist Mr. Harish Jagtani, performed over 100 free surgeries on patients suffering from cataracts and glaucoma.  The foundation launched an ophthalmological campaign called DON DE LA VISION for achieving this big feat of providing light to 100 families.

What’s more? The HJ Foundation is working day and night to make another campaign successful. The campaign is regarding giving free dialysis coverage or renal failure treatment to the needy.

Just last month, on 28th October, the Minister of Public Health, Hygiene, and Preventive inaugurated the dialysis centre at HJ hospital Kinshasa.  The free dialysis centre is operational for low-income group people at HJ hospital Kinshasa.

HJ Foundation is working closely with HJ hospital and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s government to ensure free and accessible kidney dialysis even for destitute people.

Last Month, Harish Jagtani Foundation launched a free dialysis campaign.

The foundation now and then highlights the importance of having universal health coverage for all in DR Congo. They’re working in a completely professional manner to fight against epidemics and endemics in the Congo. With the vision to bring affordable health care closer to the most vulnerable people of DR Congo. Dr. Aimée Lokulutu of the HJ hospital categorically said that the campaign will focus more on offering dialysis and then on Kidney transplants.

People having kidney issues and an inability to afford the high prices may register themselves with the HJ Foundation. Based on the total number of registration, the foundation will establish an agenda to treat and make all those people healthy. The foundation is not necessarily focusing on the treatment, but they’re giving equal importance to encouraging people in adopting healthy lifestyles for disease prevention.

The Harish Jagtani Foundation is actively working in coordination with the Indian embassy in Congo and brought BMVSS team Jaipur foot to DR CONGO. Jaipur foot or Jaipur leg is a rubber-based prosthetic leg highly beneficial for people with amputations. When we contacted Ms Roshni Punjabi at HJ Foundation, we came to know that from 1st December 2021, the Jaipur foot campaign is going in full swing, and already, more than 128 handicapped patients are fitted with Jaipur foot prosthetic limb at the Harish Jagtani Foundation’s camp in Kinshasa City. A special camp to fabricate and fit 500 false limbs for people who have been handicapped due to various reasons is being put up by HJ Foundation. This camp will be free of charge, where the people who have lost their limbs will be given new limbs and made to practice the use of their limbs to once again start living lives like earlier, completely free of charge. This camp will be a life-changing event for the 500 people that will be benefitted in the first phase of this campaign.

    More about Mr. Harish Jagtani

A businessman by profession and a philanthropist by heart, Mr. Jagtani is known for being one of the most respectable expatriate businessmen in Congo.

Rutva, a 7-year-old Indian, UAE resident, created two World Records in two languages (English and Arabic) in one attempt

Dubai [UAE], December 9: Rutva Nikhil Pore, a 7-year-old proud Indian girl, blessed resident of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates for the last 5 years, has created two World Records in one attempt on 15th November, 2021 by reciting:

    • 91 facts about Solar System in English
    • 91 facts about Solar System in Arabic

This record was administered through a virtual live event on 15th November at 4:30 pm GST (6:00 pm IST) and was streamed live on Facebook & YouTube. With this record on 15th November, Rutva recited all 91 facts in English in 2 minutes & 46 seconds and Arabic in 4 minutes & 39 seconds & became the first in the world to create “world records” in this new category.

Rutva has a great interest in space science from the age of 5 years and has been collecting information about space through various sources like the Internet, books etc. As per Rutva, this interest was created and grew by her father, and her mother inspired her to make the world record. Looking at her interest in space and knowledge, her parents contacted Mr. Sushant Mysorekar, founder of Brain Rhyme Pte Ltd, Singapore & an internationally certified Intelligence Coach during the summer vacation for her coaching and the journey of world record started.

Rutva’s world record journey started around three months back with the support of her mentor, Mr. Sushant, who has been training Rutva on memorizing the content through various memory, creative skills, tools & techniques. Initially, the plan was to recite facts in English only, but after a few sessions, seeing Rutva’s keen interest in the Arabic language with mutual understanding among all, the journey of Arabic record attempt was initiated. Finally, it was decided to translate all 91 facts of English into Arabic.

Rutva’s Arabic recitation started with support from her school – Ambassador School, Dubai and her Arabic teacher Miss Walaa Ahmed Hassan El Sheikh, who helped her in translation &pronunciation during school hours& even after school hours. Miss Walaa is an Arabic teacher with Ambassador School, Dubai. Miss Walaa’s way of teaching and her confidence in Rutva about her ability to grasp the language quickly made Rutva’s Arabic learning smoother. Rutva and her parents are very grateful to the Ambassador School and Walaa ma’am for the overwhelmed support provided by them to Rutva.

As per Rutva, her journey became easy with the help of techniques taught by her coach, support from her School and Arabic teacher. During the initial days, it took around 15 minutes to recite all 91 facts in Arabic as Rutva is a non-Arabic girl, and it involved learning of all the complex terminologies and numbers pronunciation. However, with the support, regular & consistent practice of 15 days, Rutva was able to recite the same in less than 5 minutes. Rutva gives this credit to her School, Arabic teacher, mentor &parents who have encouraged & collaborated to define her schedule, ongoing schooling & supported in associated aspects of practice.

Rutva’s message to her friends, – “You need to persevere, be curious and should have the spirit to learn new things. Once you get an opportunity, you can create a World Record with learned and practiced ability.” She further mentioned, “I am a non-Arabic girl, but I love the Arabic language and find it very interesting because of my teacher Walaa ma’am who made it more interesting by her teaching approach.”

Rutva was born in Pune, Maharashtra and shifted to Dubai along with her parents when she was only 2.5 years old. Currently, she resides in Business Bay, Dubai. Rutva did her pre-schooling with Chubby Cheeks Nursery, Karama, Dubai and currently is a grade 2 student of Ambassador School, Dubai. Rutva’s father, Nikhill Pore and mother, Minal Deshpande – Pore, both are Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary.

Rutva is learning karate with GFX, Business Bay, Dubai and currently holds Green belt. She is also learning gymnastics with Fly High Fitness, Dubai.

Rutva has a great interest in art & craft & she keeps herself engaged in making beautiful art pieces.  She has started her own YouTube channel – Rutva’s World. She loves reading books, dancing, helping others, playing and spending time with her friends.

    Rutva’s aspirations:

  • Media Trendz’s Founder Rohit Kumar Shares His Journey from a Journalist to an Entrepreneur

December 9: What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? It’s no longer about being your own boss but also about building something that solves problems and brings joy to other people’s lives. While having the passion, drive, and vision are all important parts of this, it’s also vital to surround yourself with the right team that can take your idea and help you bring it to fruition in a way that will benefit the world at large. Rohit Kumar is an example of this type of entrepreneur.

    Who is Rohit Kumar?

Media Trendz Founder Rohit Kumar is a journalist turned entrepreneur. He is best known for founding Media Trendz, one of India’s fastest-growing media & advertising agencies. He has served around six years in media & has also served as a Media Consultant at the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare. Rohit Kumar, popularly known as Rohit Kumar Singh, is a young & dynamic brand manager, social media manager & and influential figure. He has worked for more than 100 Individuals, Celebrities, Influencers & Companies. He has also been associated with Brands like NDTV, News 24, Live India in his career.

    From Journalism to Entrepreneurship

Rohit Kumar’s Journey with Media Trendz Story: Rohit Kumar is the founder of Media Trendz, a 360-degree marketing & advertising firm based in New Delhi. Rohit got his first taste of journalism when he was 21 years old as a Trainee at NDTV. I had just finished college and wanted to be a journalist, says Rohit. Soon after joining NDTV, Rohit went on to work for several other leading media houses before landing a job with the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare. It was during those early days that I realized how exciting it is to tell someone’s story in such a way that people relate to, and it leaves a long-lasting impression on them.

    How He Started Media Trendz

Just like everyone who wants to be an entrepreneur but can’t make up their mind, I started looking for a road map. What should I do first? How to build a brand? What are my goals etc? Unfortunately, there wasn’t much guidance available at that time except a few books or articles which were very general in nature or were simply not easy enough to follow by an aspiring entrepreneur. But finally, I got a chance to work as a Media Consultant at the Ministry of Agriculture, and this was the platform i was looking for to go ahead with and handle various things without any fear, followed what others were doing…what worked for then. And then slowly changed my gears and eventually got appreciated by the Minister himself, and it motivated me a lot. It was when i was about to complete my tenure as a consultant i decided to go ahead with something big….my own company called Media Trendz.

    Challenges of Starting Up

The biggest challenge for me was understanding that I need to take care of myself first before taking care of my company. Rohit also shared, I learned how to prioritize. You have got a limited amount of time and resources, so you need to focus on what is important at any given point in time, even if it means leaving something else undone or incomplete. When asked about his advice for people who are planning to launch their own startup ventures, Rohit said, A lot of people think starting up is easy, but it’s not that simple, especially when you are doing your startup yourself as there will be days when your productivity gets impacted by some obstacles or other. So always remember, if someone has started with less than what you have right now and they were able to achieve success, then why can’t you? Keep working hard no matter what comes your way.

What Has Worked For Him So Far?

Rohit started Media Trendz in 2018 and was able to grow it into what it is today with a team of experts. Rohit attributes much of his success as an entrepreneur to his time spent as a journalist. There are some things you learn [as a journalist] that you will never be able to pick up from books, he says. It’s easy if you’re just starting out but hard once your business starts growing. Every issue that we face, I think about how I would have handled it in my previous job. That helps me handle these situations better than if I had not been through them before.

Steps That Can Help Others Start Their Own Businesses

Rohit Kumar started out as a journalist, but with just enough foresight, he decided it was time for him to switch careers. Little did he know that a few years later, his efforts would result in Media Trendz becoming one of India’s fastest growing media and advertising agencies. There are no strict guidelines when it comes to becoming an entrepreneur. Rather than going by what others have done, you should focus on doing your own thing and finding your own success path. Here are some steps entrepreneurs such as Rohit Kumar took before they became successful: 1. Get experience: It may seem like common sense, but business success is highly reliant on experience in many fields. You never quite know what kind of problems you might encounter after deciding to start your own business; getting some experience along the way will help give you some perspective and allow you to deal with any issues more effectively. 2. Don’t be afraid to ask questions: Nobody knows everything about every field—not even billionaires. Asking questions shows you care about your work and want to get better at whatever it is you do. Nobody expects every employee or entrepreneur to be perfect; what matters most is taking responsibility for mistakes, learning from them, and moving forward with new knowledge gleaned through conversations with others.
