    Takasago has F&F production plant in India with a production capacity of about 20,000 tons per year. To support the growth, Takasago International India (TII) business is close to INR 1500M in India and the growth in 2023 has been around 30%. Takasago business growth has increased 10X in India and CAGR had been in excess of 40%.     With the growth and expansion of the Fragrance business in India, TII has set up Takasago International India Fragrance Centre, in Mumbai.  As creators of fragrances, Takasago conduct research and development for various fragrance used in perfumes, personal care, fabric care, and air care products. Perfumers are responsible for the creation of fragrances that are used in non-food products. The perfumer selects the necessary ingredients from fragrances raw materials according to the concept and direction required by the customer and prepares a formula. 

    The new fragrances are created by improving the formulated fragrances through the trial application and sensory evaluation.  The development of fragrances requires a fusion of art and science. In addition to artistry, fragrance creation must be based on science, including long lasting, diffusion, and stability to suit the product’s application.

    Jharsuguda (Odisha) [India], March  31: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, conducted a mega road safety awareness initiative – ‘Suraksha Sarathi’ at Lakhanpur Mines in Jharsuguda, in partnership with Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and major transporters’ unions, including Maa Samleswari Truck Owner Association (MSTOA) and Ayush Road Lines. The event saw participation from more than 1500 drivers, recognizing them as ‘Sarathis’ (Charioteers) to highlight the indispensable role they play in road safety.

    As part of the awareness drive, Vedanta Aluminium orchestrated several initiatives aimed at underscoring the paramount importance of road safety which included a compelling ‘Nukkad Natak’ (street play) performance featuring actors embodying the mythical characters Yamraj and Chitragupta, complimentary health check-ups, a road safety quiz, and the distribution of road safety kits, all of which drew appreciation from the drivers. Through these initiatives, the company emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards.

This endeavour, under the aegis of the Department of Labour and ESI (Employees’ State Insurance), Government of Odisha, is being extended across diverse industrial zones within the state with an overarching objective of fostering a robust safety culture and augment awareness pertaining to safety amongst industry professionals.
