Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 7: Hindustan Chamber of Commerce will organise “ASIATEX 2023” Textile Trade Fair during 31^st August to 2^nd September 2023 at JIO World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai. This will be 5^th Edition of the B2B Fair.

Shikharchand Jain, President of Hindustan Chamber of Commerce (HCC) stated that there will be about 125 stalls in the Fair as the Chamber has completed 125 years.  This is a landmark occasion for the Chamber and the Fair will have majority stalls of large size varying from 904 sq. ft., to 97 sq. ft. There will be a wide range of stalls with representation from Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Surat, Ichalkaranji, Bhilwara, Ahmedabad and all major textile hubs.

The Fair will display a large range of yarns, fabrics, made-ups, technical textiles, uniform fabrics, home textiles, furnishing fabrics, knits, garments etc. mainly by manufacturers and exporters.

A footfall of more than 15,000 visitors expected during the 3 days Fair.

.This B2B Fair will be spread over 60,000 square feet at JIO World Convention Centre, out of which 25,000 square feet will be designated for stalls. The rest of the space will be occupied by stage, VIP lounge, meeting centre, conference room, cafeteria, etc.

New Delhi (India), August 7: The United Services Institution of India (USI), the country’s oldest and prestigious National Security and Defence Services think tank, in collaboration with CSC-e-Governance and PCTI, will facilitate the exploration, development, and provision of guided tours for military heritage tourism in the country. The initiative will commence with a tour of Hussainiwala in Punjab, scheduled to begin on August 12 from Delhi.

To effectively accomplish this objective, USI, PCTI, and CSC-e-Governance Services India Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). As per the agreement, USI will identify potential tourist destinations and document them. PCTI will oversee the organization of the tours, while CSC-SPV will provide local support through its Common Service Centres.

Major General (Retd) Bal Krishna Sharma, Director General, USI, provided information in this regard. According to him, “A large segment of domestic and foreign tourists wants to understand and take pride in the military achievements and historical events (wars, etc.) of the country. Our military heritage tourism will attract domestic and international tourists interested in history, military affairs, and cultural heritage. Besides, it will also attract ex-servicemen and their families who have an emotional attachment to these places.”

According to Mr. Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, Managing Director, CSC-SPV, “The military heritage sites provide an opportunity for tourists to explore the military history of the country, learn about important battles and wars, and witness architectural marvels of the past. The country has a long and varied military heritage, with various dynasties and empires leaving behind a wealth of historical sites and artifacts. Additionally, India has several war memorials and museums dedicated to honouring the sacrifices of soldiers and showcasing their stories.”

Some of the potentially popular military heritage sites in India include Imphal (Manipur), Kohima (Nagaland), Guwahati (Assam), Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh), some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Kargil (Ladakh), Pathankot and Ferozepur in Kartarpur Corridor (Punjab), Longewala in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), Delhi and its surrounding areas, and Mhow (Dr. Ambedkar Nagar near Indore.

According to Major (Retd) Sushil Goyal, Director, PCTI, “These places are still visited by people, but they need to be maintained, and people need to be informed about them. That’s why, along with proper conservation and maintenance of historical places, there is also a need for effective marketing and promotional strategies. It is also necessary to ensure objective and accurate information about the place, event, and characters. Additionally, tourism infrastructure and the safety of tourists are also important factors that we target and prepare for.”

Under this initiative, Hussainiwala in Ferozepur district in Punjab has been identified as the first circuit, where historic battles took place in the 1965 and 1971 wars. Although Hussainiwala is a village, it holds its own historical and tourist importance. The great sons of the country and revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev ji were cremated here. There is a National Martyr’s Memorial commemorating their sacrifice, featuring a tall tower with a continuously burning flame in their honor. Hussainiwala is also the site of the famous Hussainiwala Border Retreat Ceremony, which takes place every evening. This border retreat symbolizes peaceful coexistence and friendly relations between India and Pakistan.

Another attraction of Hussainiwala is the Hussainiwala Barrage, which is a dam on the Sutlej River. It serves as a source of irrigation for the surrounding agricultural land and presents a picturesque sight to visitors. Additionally, Hussainiwala is known for its serene environment, making it an ideal destination for those seeking peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The village, surrounded by lush green fields, offers visitors a chance to experience rural life in Punjab.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 7: The Indian Real Estate Industry is set to become a RealTech industry soon considering the swift digital transformation and adoption happening in the contemporary environment, particularly with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI); quipped the digital experts and marketers at ‘Excelerate 2.0 #TechForReal’ forum organized by NAREDCO MAHARASHTRA’s wing of next – generation entrepreneurs called as ‘NAREDCO NextGen’ in Mumbai today.   

Discussing the importance of cutting-edge technology and digital prowess to cater to ever – evolving dynamics of the real estate industry, NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen organized a Knowledge Forum ‘Excelerate 2.0 #TechForReal’ with technology experts, marketers and real estate industry experts.

During the inaugural address Mr. Sandeep Runwal, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra said, “Having undergone numerous cycles of change, I’ve come to the realization that the key to survival in the real estate industry lies in embracing and adapting to technology. In my view, Excelerate 2.0 has provided a glimpse of the future direction. I eagerly anticipate the innovative ideas and pitches from new entrants and will closely track their journey of growth.”

According to Mr. Rajan Bandelkar, National President of NAREDCO, our wealth lies in the future generation. He emphasized the need to focus on delivering more while committing less. He also pointed out that the real estate business is open to anyone, unlike other industries where delivery precedes payment, in real estate, customers pay first and then receive the goods.

Talking about the rationale for unleashing the need and relevance of digital transformation and technology for the benefit and advancement of the real estate industry, Mr. Rishabh Siroya, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen said, “As the next-gen real estate entrepreneurs, we felt the need to bring the crucial aspect of digital transformation and modern day construction technologies on the fore for better integration, productivity and excellence within the real estate industry.”

The panel discussion, titled ‘Tech for Digital Transformation,’ expressed the perspective that digital transformation has become an omnipresent force in today’s world. People now spend an average of 2 hours on digital media, with about 53 minutes dedicated to video content in India. Consequently, digital content has become highly sought-after and unavoidable. Today, embracing digital transformation is essential, with a focus on customer-centric approaches. The customer demographic is evolving, with around 75% of customers being below 45 years old, and this generation is actively purchasing homes. Among home buyers, approximately 60% are below 35 years old. Engaging with this customer segment is now a necessity, and digital solutions are the most effective means to reach them.

However, the real estate industry has been slow in adopting digital transformation, even though it is vital. The transformation is not merely an option but an imperative. Developers need to implement digital transformation throughout their Omni channel journeys to establish influential platforms. The industry has faced trust deficits, and technology serves as the solution to bridge the gap from customers to CPs (Channel Partners) to employees, thereby enhancing transparency. Additionally, technology will play a crucial role in addressing scalability challenges.”

The technology experts participated in the Session on ‘Digital Transformation’ harped on the need to identify technology needs of the industry considering various elements of the value chain such as sales compulsion from consideration to conversion, adopting customer solicitation and experience, awarding customer engaging strategies, pre-sales to sales and post – sales digital approach, analytics, etc and come up with a robust roadmap. 

Sharing his thoughts on ‘Tech for Construction’, Mr. Sanjay Dutt, Senior Vice President, NAREDCO MAHARASHTRA and MD & CEO, Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd said, “When proceeding with project transitions, such as moving from the design stage to execution, a crucial aspect is the implementation of a comprehensive handover process. Leveraging technology can yield significant benefits, not only in terms of time and cost savings in design and engineering, but also by facilitating effective organization management. Technology can play a pivotal role in educating departments about identified gaps and empowering them to make decisions akin to entrepreneurs. Embracing technology is imperative for developers to remain competitive and relevant in the current landscape.”
