The company had a board meeting on the same day of the event to consider giving bonus shares to the shareholders of the company. The board discussed and recommended the issuance of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1, which means one bonus share to be given against the holding of one equity share.

The event started with Mr. Takahiro Fujioka, President of Aichi Steel Corporation lighting a lamp along with Mr. Naohide Goto, Managing Executive Officer of Aichi, Mr. Kunihiko Kawazu, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan in India, Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Chairman of VSSL, Mr. R.K.Jain, Director of VSSL. To show the glorious 50 years of journey, Vardhman Corporate Film was played on screen. Going ahead a welcome speech was given by Ms. Soumya Jain, daughter of Mr. Sachit Jain followed by speeches of Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Mr. Takahiro Fujioka, Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary of the Ministry of Steel and finally by Mr. Sachit Jain. The event was brought to an end with a groovy live band performance and cocktails.

At this event Mr Sachit Jain, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, Vardhman Special Steels Limited said “50 years is a very important milestone in the history of an organization and to get there, one needs the mentality of a marathon and not a 100-meter dash. “I have been a shamanic healer for a while now. Being a company’s managing director, it is not easy to drop everything and be on your spiritual journey. So when I sit down and pray, I often get messages from the universe and strong intuitions. It was around 3-4 years back when Covid hit us. While I was doing my prayers, I got the message that I needed to write a book. So this happened when I started asking my guides what I would achieve by writing the book. The answer was that I will be able to convey the message that the universe wants many people to hear more comprehensively,” says Samantha Kochharr.

Samantha, who started her journey in the hair and beauty industry at 11, has mentored young talent for many years. She has worked internationally and nationally in the movie and fashion industry for many years. She is also an avid painter and potter. Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], April 13: Eastern India’s major stevedoring company, Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL), handled first of its kind domestic export of Gypsum from Paradip Port to Pipavav Port in Gujarat.

This entire operation of domestic export was overseen and handled by the well-experienced OSL, which has made a name for itself as one of the top ten stevedoring companies in India.

While the cargo was first brought through barges from the leading fertilizer firm IFFCO’s riverine jetty (which has been developed by OSL) in Paradip, it was unloaded from the barges and shifted to the main berth of the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) and loaded into the bigger vessel named MV Paranassos.

Notably, OSL has achieved this unique feat by redeveloping riverine operations in Odisha after almost a century. This has proved the possibility of using waterways as a feasible mode of transport.

On this occasion, Shri K J Patel, Director, IFFCO, Shri P L Haranadh, Chairman, PPA and senior officials of IFFCO, PPA and OSL were present and witnessed the new dimension of cargo transport.

Shri Mahimananda Mishra, Founder of OSL Group, said, “The era of a new dimension to the transport sector with the use of a multi-modal transport system has begun, and OSL has played a pivotal role in this system.
