    While addressing the event, Shri Asheesh Pandey, Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra, said that Bank is on a progressive path and digitisation is considered a key driver of the growth. Bank is implementing new-age technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), among others, to augur “Ease of Doing Business” for the customer as well as staff”.

    Bank has launched several utilities which will define Bank’s services spurred through digitisation. The Digital Services include hassle-free customer onboarding through Video-KYC, allowing customers to open an account digitally by providing KYC details online.

    Bank launched an upgraded version of the Bank’s existing Mobile Banking Application with enhanced UI/UX features for seamless customer experience & customer delight with ample utilities under one umbrella. Bank’s WhatsApp banking also got a new dimension through an array of new additions, viz. Credit Card in WhatsApp with detailed account summary and transactions, Pension Slip for pensioners, account statement, health insurance STP journey etc.

    Bank has embarked on its footprint in the adoption of Private Cloud Infrastructure by launching “MAHABANK NAKSHATRA” – Bank’s own Private Cloud Platform. It facilitates High-Performance Cloud Capabilities for Digital Infrastructure and hosting applications of the Bank.

    Bank also launched a portal called Suvidha, an automated DCSS (Decease Claim Settlement System) to simplify the deceased claim settlement process and keep customer ease into consideration. Employers who are customers of Bank of Maharashtra will now be able to pay Employee’s PF Money through Bank of Maharashtra Internet Banking. In the agriculture segment, online MKCC review/renewal was introduced to facilitate enhancement in the existing MKCC Loan application platform at Bank’s corporate website.

    Bank also collaborates with its subsidiary Gramin Mahila via Balak Vikas Mandal (GMBVM), with Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project BC trust (SKDRDP) for credit linkage of Self Help Group in the state of Maharashtra and adds fillip to financial inclusion & its promotion driven through technology to the unserved and underserved.

    Bank has also introduced Robotic Process Automation (RPA) which involves the automation of critical and highly repetitive Banking processes and also enables the reallocation of resources to higher-value work efforts to drive better efficiency in the organisation. It will facilitate Task Completion without manual intervention or minimal manual supervision.

    To enhance the business model efficacy, Bank collaborated with CIC under an Integrated Model through M/s Experian, which evaluates the customer’s current needs and pitches the product as per the customer’s requirement. It also gives Market insight reports that can be used to analyse business scope on the pin code level and monitor effectively. Bank’s Risk Management is notably strengthened as Bank collaborates with CRISIL to empower high-quality, efficient decision-making for Credit Underwriting Process and Credit Monitoring Process.

    Bank launched the Centre of Excellence (4 CoEs) for Database, Cyber Security, CBS and Analytics in view of current and upcoming security initiatives. Bank introduced Kavach to strengthen the security architecture. While keeping a vigilant eye on Cyber Security, Bank also established various security tools set up by the industry.

    New Delhi [India], February 11: The Achhi Aadat Campaign-2022 (AAC), initiated by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) India along with the campaign implementing partner IJ Kakehashi Services Private Limited (IJK), is not leaving any stone unturned to spread awareness on good habits regarding the importance of hygienic practices for the benefit to the health of the people in India. Under this coverage, two Mobile LED vehicles are moving across five rural NCR districts of Uttar Pradesh and two NCR districts of Rajasthan. The main purpose of deploying the mobile LED van is to create awareness and disseminate messages on handwashing with soap and nail hygiene among children and communities.

    These geographies are those areas where the campaign conducts the orientations of Frontline Workers (FLWs) on AAC. The frontline workers, such as the ANM, ASHA and AWW, who are directly in contact with the communities, provide services to the community and act as a bridge between the community and the institutions.

    The vans started their journeys on 27th January 2023 from the Meerut district. Each mobile LED van runs for a period of thirty days and covers at least five Panchayats every day. The vans cover all the respective blocks to the main pivotal points, including Schools, Panchayat Bhawans, Anganwadi centres, and weekly markets to reach a wider audience among different age groups. It is projected that both vans will cover at least 300 Panchayats. expecting to reach a target population of approximately 13 to 14 lakhs. Different short videos are played in LED Vans, and the vans distribute printed flyers with key messages. The distribution is followed by a discussion on the benefits of hand hygiene and nail hygiene in preventing different types of infectious diseases.

    During the visit, the Managing Director of campaign implementing partner IJ Kakehashi Services Private Limited (IJK), Mr. Sanjay Panda, mentioned, “It is incredible to witness the overwhelming response from the communities, particularly among school-going children through mobile LED Achhi Aadat Campaign Van. We are positive that we will be able to reach a large target group in the rural communities reinforcing Achhi Aadat messages”.

    The general public, as well as school children, are found enjoying and learning the AAC plays with fun and infotainment content. Since the Vans are passing through streets, people are taking videos and selfies with the Vans and posting them on their social media platforms. If you see such a vehicle in your area, you can also upload your selfie on social media with it. It will encourage others to watch and join their hands together to benefit the communities’ greater interests.

    In 2021, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) launched the Achhi Aadat Campaign to raise awareness among 10 crore people about the importance of hygienic practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign encouraged COVID-appropriate behaviour which includes wearing a face mask, maintaining physical distance, handwashing with soap, cleaning and cutting nails

    In continuation, JICA, in partnership with its project implementing partner IJ Kakehashi Services Private Limited, collaborates with the Government of NCT of Delhi, Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Health & Social Welfare in the states of UP and Rajasthan, Corporates and NGOs to promote awareness among the people of India.

    Over 490 PW students scored 99.5 percentile, the highest in PW’s history, and over 2900 of its students scored 98 percentile

    Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], February 11: The IPO of Shera Energy Limited, the only company in the country to produce wires and strips made of non-ferrous metals like copper, aluminum and brass under one roof, has been successful in garnering wide support from investors on Thursday. Against the IPO of 61.76 lakh shares worth Rs 35.20 crore opened on Tuesday, the company has received bids for 27 crore 50 lakh 34 thousand shares, through which applications worth Rs 1567.69 crore have been submitted. The listing of this issue of the company on the emerge platform of the National Stock Exchange will take place on February 17. The issue has been applied for in lots of two thousand shares, whose price band was kept at Rs 55-57.

    The company’s CMD Naseem Shaikh said that the highest number of 190 times applications in the IPO came from Non-Institutional Investors-NII category. After this, the second number of applicants are retail investors, who have expressed their faith in the company by applying 51.30 times. The number of retail investors who have applied is 47456. 61.76 lakh shares of the company’s stock were subscribed in various perspective, out of which each category saw oversubscription, resulting in the IPO receiving applications for ₹1567 crore out of 44.53 lakh applications. He said that the trust given to this company by the public will be maintained at all costs and efforts will be made to take full care of those associated with the company.

    The Lead Manager of the IPO Holani Consultants Pvt. Ltd.’s Director Ashok Holani said that despite the negative sentiment in the stock market due to the Adani episode, the IPO of Shera Energy Limited has been subscribed 44.53 times. FII investors also showed good interest in the company’s IPO and they placed bids worth Rs 53 crore. HDFC, the country’s leading private sector bank, made applications worth 20 crore, similarly domestic institutional investors applied for 60.27 crore. He said that this is the second Jaipur based company he has served as the Lead Manager and when the issue was initiated, he had complete faith in the performance of the company and believed that investors would show interest in it. When the deadline for applying ended at 5 pm on Thursday evening, the results that came out are a reflection of the faith of the investors, on which the company will definitely come true.

    About 20 years old Shera Energy Limited based in VKI area of Jaipur along with its three associate companies is supplying products to industries like Automobile, Transformer, Switchgear, Power Generation, Panel etc. The company also exports to about 15 countries. According to CMD Naseem Sheikh, this is the only company in Jaipur, which is supplying specific grade alloy for cartridge shell and bullet.     The top scorers of the Grand Finale find the quiz to be a truly unique experience

    New Delhi [India], February 10:  The much-awaited Grand Finale of ClassAct 2023–The Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz proved to be a roaring success, with more than 100 students of grades 6 to 12 participating from all over India. The mega quizzing event took place on 5th February from 10 AM to 12 Noon. The complete list of winners has been announced on the official page.

    There are exciting prizes up for grabs for the winners of this online school quiz. He also co-hosted ClassAct 2022 and Smartacus 2022, along with Dr. Jayakumar.

    The champions were super excited to have participated and emerged victorious in ClassAct 2023. The quiz was a truly unique, fun and thrilling experience for them.

    While B. Sri Shivendra, a grade 9 student from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School, Chennai, holds rank 1, Ayushman Dubey, a grade 12 student of Sunbeam School, UP, and Abhinav S Nair, an 11th grader from Kerala’s Carmel CMI School were the 2nd and 3rd place holders of ClassAct 2023 respectively.

    Talking to HT School, Shivendra, says, “The atmosphere of the Grand Finale was lively and enthusiastic with two of my favourite quizmasters, Navin sir and Avinash sir, making the event an enjoyable and memorable one.” This grade 9 student adds, “I would like to extend my gratitude to each and everyone who made this quiz a grand success. I look forward to participating in all future quizzes of HT School.” The urge to keep exploring the world around him and learning new things keeps Shivendra motivated into quizzing.

    According to many participants, the Grand Finale was a lot more interactive and engaging than the Prelims. Kushagra Chaurasia, another student of Sunbeam School UP, who stood 4th, says, “I love quizzing for it feeds my never-ending inquisition about all the things around. Quizzing also motivates the lateral thinker in me. However, the part about quizzing that attracts me the most is that questions can come out of nowhere, and there’s always a surprise element in there.”

    Sharing a similar insight, 5th place holder Sumanyu Aggarwal, a grade 10 student of Indraprastha World School, Delhi, shares, “Quizzing for me is like a hobby. I entered the domain of quizzing in school and have since then remained hooked on it. I think quizzing for me is a favourite kind of competition that helps me quench my thirst for knowledge.”

    On the other hand, Tapan Gupta from Narmada Valley International School, MP, who is the 6th rank holder, shares how he likes to stay on top of world affairs and deems his curious nature as his key towards becoming a successful quizzer. “Just like the rest of the world, I, too, believe that practice makes perfect. So, I just keep taking part in as many quizzes as possible, both offline and online, to sharpen my skills,” shares the 11th grader.

    On 26th January this year, the day when India celebrated its 74th Republic Day, 21,540 students from grades 1 to 12 took part in the Prelims round of this online school quiz that witnessed 40,486 registrations. The number of participants in 2023 surpassed last year’s figures which earned the previous edition, ClassAct 2022, The Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz, the world record for “Maximum Participants in an Online School Quiz”. The last year’s edition made it to the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records with 19,625 participants in the preliminary round.

    Tamara Leisure Experiences launches an internship programme designed to train the next generation of Responsible Hoteliers

    Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], February 11: The Responsible Hoteliers of Tomorrow Internship Programme initiated by responsible hospitality group Tamara Leisure Experiences is designed to impart the group’s extensive and groundbreaking sustainable tourism models with aspiring, purpose-driven hoteliers.

    The programme seeks undergraduate students from a variety of subject backgrounds who wish to pursue multi-disciplinary careers underpinned by a focus on people, the planet and profit.

    The 6-week internship will take place at the Tamara offices in Bangalore, followed by project work at one of the Tamara properties in Coorg, Kodaikanal or Trivandrum. Interns, who will be introduced to the future of sustainable tourism through operations training, community engagement and project work, can expect to gain both methodological and applied understanding of:

    – A Holistic and Practical Approach Towards Sustainability

    – The Global Sustainable Goals (SDG) – UN Sustainable Development Goals

    – The Global Sustainable Tourism Council

    – Local Biodiversity

    – Synergising Environmental Planning with the Community

    – Foundational Hotel Operations and

    – The Importance of Individual Sustainability Commitments

    Interns who successfully complete the program will be awarded a certification. The top 5 graduating interns will be considered for a role at Tamara Leisure Experiences.
