  • Obsesh: Redefining the Way Indian Men Experience Luxury Fashion

Obsesh: Redefining the Way Indian Men Experience Luxury Fashion

In an age where fashion often feels rushed, logo-heavy, and fleeting, a new name is emerging with a different promise “Obsesh”. More than just another men’s wear label, Obsesh represents a shift towards understated luxury, timeless craftsmanship, and the kind of elegance that doesn’t shout but lingers.

Founded by Ayush BajajObsesh is built on a simple yet powerful philosophy: true luxury is felt, not flaunted. The brand has already started turning heads for its attention to detail, uncompromising quality, and a design language that places experience over excess.

A Brand Born From an Obsession

The story of Obsesh begins in London, where Ayush — then a young entrepreneur — discovered something curious. He noticed how premium clothes in global fashion capitals carried labels from Europe, yet most of them were manufactured in India and Bangladesh. The craftsmanship was ours, but the luxury belonged elsewhere.

That realization became an obsession, why shouldn’t Indian men have access to the same world-class fashion, crafted for them, in their own country? Obsesh was born from that thought: a luxury men’s wear brand, made in India for men who demand more.

Beyond Clothing: The Luxury of Feeling

What sets Obsesh apart isn’t just fabric or stitching, but the way the clothes make one feel. Every collection is designed with the belief that the right outfit can transform posture, confidence, and presence.

    • Slim, precise fits that flatter the body without restricting movement.
    • Fabric-first approach, each material chosen not only for look but also for comfort on the skin.
    • Timeless detailing that balances modern boldness with classic refinement.

Luxury, for Obsesh, is not about extravagance. It’s about the subtle details that only the wearer notices: the smoothness of the seam, the richness of the weave, the quiet assurance that comes with wearing something crafted with intent.

    Craft Meets Philosophy

Obsesh positions itself in a growing niche — the new Indian gentleman. A man who values ambition, knowledge, and style, but who refuses to compromise on comfort or quality.

Unlike many fast-fashion players, Obsesh rejects shortcuts. Each piece goes through a meticulous design process where every stitch, cut, and silhouette is refined until it feels just right. It’s not fashion meant to last a season. It’s fashion meant to last in memory.

    The Founder’s Vision

At just 25, Ayush Bajaj embodies the new wave of Indian entrepreneurs, globally aware, culturally rooted, and relentless in pursuit of excellence. Coming from a family with over 50 years in apparel retail, Ayush grew up around fabrics and tailoring. But Obsesh is his own bold leap: taking tradition and merging it with global sensibilities of luxury.

His vision is not to compete with existing men’s wear brands, but to create something distinctly Indian yet globally relevant. Obsesh is for the man who knows who he is, who doesn’t need validation, and who finds luxury in the quiet confidence of being well-dressed.

Obsesh and the Future of Indian Luxury

India is ready for brands that don’t just follow global trends but set their own. Obsesh has entered this landscape with clarity of purpose: to redefine men’s fashion through craftsmanship, subtlety, and experience.

As Ayush puts it: “When you wear Obsesh, you don’t just wear a piece of clothing — you wear confidence, ambition, and an attitude that stays long after the day is done.”

With Obsesh, luxury is no longer an import. It is homegrown, elevated, and designed to be felt.

  • Music Is Limitless: Shruti Pathak on Passion, Purpose, and Staying True to Her Roots

Music Is Limitless: Shruti Pathak on Passion, Purpose, and Staying True to Her Roots

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], September 2: With a career spanning Bollywood, Gujarati cinema, and independent music, Shruti Pathak has established herself as a versatile singer and lyricist. Known for memorable tracks such as Mar Jaawaan, Shubhaarambh, Tujhe Bhula Diya, and Patan na Patrani, she has also performed at over 2,000 live shows worldwide and collaborated on platforms like Coke Studio, MTV Unplugged, and The Dewarists. As she returns home to work on new projects and prepare for Navratri performances, she reflects on her musical journey, creative process, and the evolving landscape of Indian music.

How does it feel to be back home while working on new projects and preparing for Navratri performances?

It’s always a great pleasure performing at my home pitch. But this time is gonna be extraordinarily special. Because the energy of Navratri is absolutely incredible, and the homeland will be thriving in the blissful, sparkly vibes of the festival.

You’ve sung across Bollywood, Gujarati music, and independent platforms. How do you adapt your voice and style to such diverse genres?

All three are unique experiences in themselves. Performing live is connecting with the audience one-on-one, which obviously is a very personal touch and a dream for any artist. While recording, be it a Bollywood song, an independent song, or a regional song, it’s touching the hearts of millions through your music, and hence it’s one of the most powerful experiences. Imagine connecting with someone you don’t know or even see, just through your music. It’s divine indeed. It wouldn’t matter if it’s a part of a Bollywood film, a Gujarati film or an independent platform. The idea is to become one with music and reach the right listener.

From Mar Jaawaan to Shubhaarambh and Patan na Patrani, your songs have become iconic. Which of these projects do you personally feel most connected to, and why?

It would be unfair to compare. Mar Jaawaan is my debut song and hence holds the most special place in my heart. Everything I am is because of this one song. So is Shubhaarambh, equally special. I wrote and sang Shubhaaarambh, not realising it would be loved and celebrated across the globe for decades. There’s no celebration, festival, or win without the song. It’s almost like I’m a part of everyone’s special day and special moments. I feel blessed.

    PNN

Patan na Patrani is a very powerful song. I absolutely loved singing it. And only grateful for all the awards and accolades it won for me ! God is kind.

You’ve also made a mark as a lyricist. How does the creative process of writing lyrics differ for you compared to singing?

Indeed, very different in nature. Singing, music is not just my profession. It’s my passion. Cannot even imagine my life without singing. While Writing comes to me naturally, I enjoy the process. It gives me wings to express myself better.

Gujarati music has always been close to your heart. How do you see its growth and recognition on a national level in recent years?

I believe the transformation of Gujarati music and films is exceptional. It’s beyond amazing how the growth has been in the last decade. Some really amazing work has been and is being done. For which most credit goes to Sachin Jigar, Parth Bharat Thakkar, Mehul Surti… Their contribution is invaluable in making the music iconic… Which has also led Gujarati music to go not just national but Global too. It’s just a matter of time before you see it reaching different heights.

Having performed at over 2,000 live shows worldwide, what is the most memorable performance or audience reaction you’ve experienced?

It’s a blissful experience each time. It’s my most favourite place to be. Like every artist, I strive for the love of each and every one in the audience.

You’ve been part of Coke Studio, MTV Unplugged, and The Dewarists. How do such collaborations shape an artist’s growth and versatility?

These are the experiences that build you as an artist. Collaborating with different artists, experimenting with genres, you learn a lot through the process. Versatility is crucial, too. As an artist, you cannot limit yourself because music itself is limitless. Everyone has a unique style, and adapting to that is an important factor in the process of making music. The growth only comes with time and experience.

You studied Psychology before entering music professionally. Do you think your academic background influences your artistry in any way?

Technically not, but understanding human minds and feelings is a wonderful help in making music or expressing myself through my music, too. So in a way, I can say, yes, it does help me to understand and emote better.

Finally, as you look ahead, what kind of projects or musical experiments excite you the most at this stage of your journey?

The world and music are constantly evolving. And I intend to grow and thrive along with it all. Listening to music is one of the most important parts of the journey. With the enormous potential, I feel more ambitious with the projects & musical experiences I want to create for myself going forward.

From chalkboards to algorithms – Kolkata Seminar calls for embracing Artificial Intelligence or risk being left behind

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], September 1: The question is no longer if Artificial Intelligence will transform education, but how. Setting the international stage, Darrin Farrant, Director of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), announced two landmark UN initiatives for global cooperation on AI governance. First, the establishment of the UN Independent International Scientific Panel on AI and second, the global dialogue on AI governance. “India, home to one-sixth of humanity, will be a key player in this journey,” Farrant said. “We must harness AI’s benefits not with fear, but with foresight, ethics, and inclusivity.”

The panelists delivered a stark and inspiring vision of the future of the new classroom reality – from the chalkboards to algorithms.

Navjot Mallika Kaur, Director of Epiq Capital, pointed to a reality already in motion abroad. “Around 2,000 schools in China have fully adopted AI—they’re using it to make children future-ready. That’s not a trend; it’s a reality we must embrace,” she urged, challenging the audience. “AI is our assistant. We remain the masters. It’s a tool to sharpen our capacities, irrespective of age. Teachers must become friends with technology instead of being scared of it or tinkering only with the basics.”

This sentiment was echoed by Samyak Chakrabarty, founder of Workverse, who saw immense potential in Bengal’s legacy. “This city already offers unparalleled creativity and intellectual fearlessness. Imagine combining that with the computing power of AI—the outcomes can be extraordinary.”

While the potential of AI was clear, the panel agreed that the human element is more crucial than ever. Bizongo co-founder Aniket Deb offered a powerful metaphor: “Even with Google Maps, we still need to set the start and end points. Education is first about survival, then thriving. Humanity has always adapted, and new jobs will replace old ones.”

Deb, who co-founded Bizongo in 2015 inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s `Make in India’ initiative, his advice to students was direct: “The ability to choose will define the future. That means making conscious choices about what to learn and even which AI tool to use for which purpose. That critical thinking is your superpower.”

Arjun Vaidya, founder of Dr. Vaidya’s, drove the point home by questioning the very foundation of traditional learning. “I used to paste dates on my wall. Now, they’re at our fingertips. What matters now isn’t memorization, but understanding the context—the ‘why’ and ‘how’ that shaped our world.”

The seminar concluded that the transformation is inevitable. The role of educators is not to resist but to guide, evolving from knowledge providers to mentors of critical thinking and ethical technology use. The future of education isn’t about humans versus machines; it’s about humans empowered by machines. Students and teachers from Don Bosco School (Park Circus), The BSS School, and others attended the seminar.

The Muskaan series by Prabha Khaitan Foundation seeks to popularize heritage literature and culture among young children across India, by integrating these aspects into formal education and cultural engagements through creative events and activities. Education for All Trust supports access to schooling for children from marginalized communities, focusing on removing obstacles to education in remote and underprivileged areas through scholarships, resources, and support systems.
