  • Sara, 10 yrs old, Indian Creates the World Record

Dubai [UAE], May 06: Sara Chhipa, a 10 yrs young, proud native of Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India, and a blessed resident of Discovery Garden in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates for the last 9 years has created a World Record on 2nd May 2021 by memorizing all the 195 “Countries – Capitals & Currencies” across the world.

The previous world record was only on “Countries & Capitals” and Sara has added one more dimension about their currencies. This record was administered through a virtual live event on 2nd May at 4:30 pm UAE time, 6 pm India time, and was streamed on Facebook, YouTube & LinkedIn. With this record on 2nd May, Sara became the first in the world to create & hold the “world record” in this category.

Sara’s world record journey started around three months ago with the support of her mentor, Mr. Sushsant Mysorekar, founder of Brain Rhyme Cognitive Solutions, Singapore. Mr. Sushant has been training Sara on memorizing these through various memory, creative skills & intelligence techniques. As per her father, Sara has started memory techniques classes during the lockdown and the world record attempt was not pre-planned at all. After some sessions, her mentor identified the spark in Sara and shared the plan with her parents. As per Sara, it was not an easy journey, especially during the initial days of learning all the complex names along with the pronunciation of those countries & capitals. Her mentor’s support was crucial as he has not only inspired Sara but also helped her through his various creative memory techniques. In beginning, it used to take around 1.5 hrs to practice all 585 records, which Sara reduced to around 15 mins with the regular practice. Sara gives her credit to parents who have encouraged & collaborated to define her schedule & ongoing schooling and supported her in associated aspects of practice.

Sara came to Dubai along with her parents when she was only 1 year old. Sara had early schooling with Indian curriculum, Springdale’s School, Dubai, and currently, is a grade 6 student of Gems Modern Academy (Indian & IB curriculum school), Dubai. Sara’s father, Suniel Chhipa works with Etisalat Telecom, and her mother, Renu Chhipa works with Asteco Properties. She has one younger brother, Shourya who is a KG2 student at Springdale’s School, Dubai. It’s a proud moment for India & UAE and we are sure that, she would be an inspiration to all the children across the world.

Interestingly, Sara is also a budding cricketer and fortunate to meet the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni & current captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, Mithali Raj. She is also an avid dancer and performed various stage shows in Global Village, Dubai & shared stage with Bollywood celebrity, Karishma Kapoor at Bollywood Parks, Dubai.  She is also exposed to the practices of yoga & breathing techniques through the “Art of Living Foundation” and proudly continuing on daily basis. She also has her YouTube channel, “Shine with Sara” and currently running a weekly series on “Incredible India” and aims to cover all the countries going forward. She loves travelling and who knows, she may travel across the world in time to come.

  • Riya Sinha and Shraddha Varma’s Brainchild Fuzia is a Voice for New Age Feminism, Gender Equality, and Empowerment

Kotputli (Rajasthan) [India], May 05: Every story needs to be heard. It needs to reach out to every single person who can possibly connect to it and learn from it. But to our dismay, many voices are left unheard. The reason behind these unheard voices is patriarchy, shining up and bright even in the world of today where nearly every country talks about equality.

However, some people put all of this behind and make sure that these voices reach millions and billions around the world. When we talk about such voices, a lot of them seem to be coming from Fuzia, the brainchild of Riya Sinha and whose co-founder and Director is Shraddha Varma. They both have an age difference of 12 years, and yet their mind seems to align together without many differences. All they want is to bring forward the experiences of women who have been discriminated against. They have made sure that their goal is to promote women’s empowerment and to end any discrimination or harmful practices against women.

“To give a voice is to take a step and to take a step is to make a stand”, and for every stand that gets taken, one less voice of the discriminator can be heard from around. Fuzia (www.fuzia.com) is one such platform that has created a community that is not dependent upon the give and take. From young photographers to opinionated writers to creative artists, everyone has a space in Fuzia.

Besides having the users showcase their various talents on the website, Fuzia believes in nurturing their talents through live sessions, campaigns, online learning, webinars, workshops, experiential learning, contests, and so on. These initiatives help women develop their skills and grow enormously. This talent is then showcased and amplified in every possible way through their website and various social media platforms. They also aspire to be of their audiences’ economic benefit.

They plan and organise various interviews with empowered women, who tell their inspiring stories on Fuzia TV and help other women come out of their shells. They also collaborate with their in-house talents and experts/ social media influencers, entrepreneurs, and inspirational women and organise interactive live sessions so that the audience can get their doubts sorted and get the right training to start their ventures. Additionally, Fuzia provides an opportunity for developing skills by providing English courses through informative video content.

Fuzia as a platform has become a lifeline for many around. Even during the pandemic, they are making sure that all the concerns are heard and taken care of. They are providing support and are empowering women to use coping mechanisms and deal with almost every kind of mental health situation. “I wonder if a platform like Fuzia can bring forward such amazing ideas and can provide freedom to be oneself, what could this world provide if it becomes a stage for every expression to be let out?” said Riya Sinha at a recent interaction when asked about what she thinks of Fuzia.

It took 5 years for the initially established writing club to become a huge global online platform of millions of people in the network, seamlessly managed by Shraddha Varma. Due to her leadership skills, Fuzia has expanded across geographical boundaries and age groups to bring together creative talents under a common umbrella to connect, collaborate, inspire and grow. Today,  it is a community of 2 lakh+ active contributors and a network of 5million + supporters across the website and social media globally. Their Instagram page @fuziaworld is pretty quirky and empowering. Even their Facebook page @fuziaworld has grown into a huge community.

Fuzia also brings forward some of the major concerns that need to be handled, including suicide, discrimination, demotivation, and alike. Unmarried, divorced, married, gays, bisexuals, lesbians, single mothers, each one of them is welcome here to bring forward their story and gain their lost confidence, respect, and dignity. It has become one rapidly growing platform on Facebook, and women from India, Pakistan, United States, Indonesia, Egypt, Bangladesh, and many other places have been joining this community.

Shraddha says, “A fusion of ideas and cultures, Fuzia seems to be handling it all. With the philosophy of providing a voice and for being a supporter, our community has solutions and support for every woman”. For her, this community is something substantial, and this something is becoming larger with every voice that reaches out. This platform thrives to combine their audiences’ consciousness with their talent.

The duo wishes to look forward step by step towards attaining pillars of creative empowerment, community growth, individual strength, and artistic magnification. They aspire to build a space for women where they can be free to express themselves with true liberty.  Henceforth, The Fuzia Website and the Fuzia App is indeed a promising game-changer in the field of social media bringing about a global impact.

  • COVID Impacted UPSC Aspirants demand Compensatory Attempt

New Delhi [India], May 05: The Civil Services Exam, being the toughest in the country, not only requires physical means to prepare but also requires an environment conducive to mental health so that the candidates can attend to their preparation with 100 percent possible concentration. Covid has affected the mental health of many candidates.

Aspirants have faced various hindrances in preparation and appearing in the exams.  The country and its several areas suffered a complete shutdown on account of the Covid 19 pandemic. Many candidates have faced personal, physical, psychological, emotional, and financial hindrances. Few of them are acting as Covid warriors who have had to remain in long periods of isolation. Aspirants include several Covid Warriors namely Dr. Shailaja and Dr. Vidya who were treating the Covid patients, and persons engaged in essential services, Ajay Kumar who works in Police Department gave his services during the pandemic, these aspirants have worked incessantly and exhausted themselves in the service of the nation and its people.

People in essential services had to face overwhelming hardship as many of them could not obtain leave for the reason of pandemic. With many other personnel on leave, they had to take extra responsibility. They were completely cut off from the competitive environment and were unable to focus. Candidates also include several candidates who reside in remotest areas and far away from their respective centers and these remote areas hardly have proper access to the internet and materials for study.

In the northeastern areas of India, the connectivity of the internet is not the same as in the urban areas, and therefore, candidates hailing from the northeast region have suffered a serious setback in preparation for the CSE. Married women and working women had the extra burden of managing household chores, family, children, and their office work. Certain candidates also suffered huge economic losses. There are UPSC aspirants whose family members contracted Covid 19 infection and survived, some suffered through bereavement of near and dear ones, an aspirant Nishant Tiwari from Uttar Pradesh lost his parents to Covid. Since the preparations are simultaneous for the Civil Services Preliminary and Civil Services Mains, there are candidates, who have cleared the prelims despite the odds. However, they are capable of a better shot at their last attempt as the CSE involves CSM as well.

These aspirants are not seeking to set aside the very conduct of the exams, but are only praying that because of the extraordinary, force majeure like situation, which was beyond the control of any of the candidates one additional attempt may be provided to them for appearing in the subject examinations.

  • Another feather in the cap for Mr. Ajay Ajmera and Ajmera Fashion

Surat (Gujarat) [India], May 03: What started as a dream is now becoming a reality for Mr. Ajmera. He knew that there was a small number of women involved in the textile industry and realizing this he took the difficult task of giving women an opportunity to make their own space in the industry. Today he is one step closer to achieving that dream as a small part of it has come true.

Ajmera Fashion, a leader in the textile industry and one of the topmost manufacturers and wholesalers in the city of Surat Gujarat, let by CEO Mr. Ajay Ajmera.

On the 16th of April 2021, Mr. Ajay Ajmera was awarded the Champion of Change Award, Entrepreneur, Social Welfare (Women’s Empowerment), Gujarat for the year 2020.

How was this feat achieved? Well, it started by making the environment at Ajmera Fashion as women-friendly as possible and letting every woman express themselves at the company. This not only helped numerous women become financially independent but also gave many a new identity, self-confidence and self-belief.

Regularly holding motivational workshops and training classes for personal and career development where Mr. Ajmera made it a point to continuously motivate all the female employees to believe in themselves and never be afraid, he constantly pushed them to strive for the best and constantly go up the organisational ladder. As a result, many of the Management positions have strong women commanding them.

Today the company has over 30% of its active workforce as women and the numbers are just going up.

However, Mr. Ajmera knew that providing jobs was not the only way of empowering women as a majority of the women in India live in small villages or small towns, of which most are housewives or homemakers.

Thus started a YouTube channel, ‘Ajmera Fashion’. On the channel, Mr. Ajmera regularly posts inspirational and self-motivational videos in which he appeals to women of all states, regions and ages of India to make themselves self-reliant, independent, confident and to take a stand for themselves in their lives. He wanted to bring a small change in the lives of the suppressed, opportunity deprived and reliant (women reliant on their family, husband or children for financial support) women of the country.

Today over 3500 women are part of the extended family at Ajmera Fashion, who can proudly say that they are financially independent, able to support their families and feel stronger and more confident than ever.

The company has helped so many women set up their own businesses from the comfort of their homes. To aid with this endeavour, Mr. Ajmera has a strong team whom he considers as his family. A call centre to aid and guide anyone over the phone on how to set up their business at home and how to obtain goods, margins and any other help has made this company a leader in this segment of the 21st century.

The year 2020 has been a year of extreme challenges and the nightmare has not ended yet. However, it is on the darkest of nights that the stars shine bright. Mr. Ajmera made it a point to make sure that he does his best to support as many women as possible during this difficult period.

Recognising his efforts, he was awarded the Champion of Change Award, Entrepreneur, Social Welfare (Women’s Empowerment), Gujarat for the year 2020.
