  • New Age production house IdeaRack enters OTT space with Runaway Lugaai for MX Player, stars Sanjay Mishra, Naveen Kasturia

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 13 After the successful debut in the television space with Tara From Satara, that won the Indian Television Academy Award (2019) for Best Drama Show and Best Story, IdeaRack is all set to venture into the OTT space with its exciting offering Runaway Lugaai, a light-hearted web series set in the heartland of Bihar.

    It is developed by Saeed Akhtar & Aisha Faizan of IdeaRack Pvt. Limited and helmed by Avinash Das of Anaarkali of Aarah fame. Runaway Lugaai will be streaming on MX Player from May 18th, 2021 onwards.

    Runaway Lugaai stars Naveen Kasturia, Ruhi Singh, Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Aarya Babbar, Pankaj Jha and Chittaranjan Tripathy in the pivotal roles. The web show is a humorous yet heartwarming journey of Rajni played by Naveen looking for his Runaway Lugaai.

Saeed Bhai was absolutely clear about his vision and tonality of the show which encouraged me to push beyond and try and create an endearing character of Rajnikant Sinha.”

    In the past 5 years, IdeaRack has developed shows like Guru Aur Bhole, Sab Jholmaal Ho, Paapo meter, Fab5, Kicko & Super Speedo for Sony Yay. They have also curated the animation series of iconic show Tarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah for Sony Yay In 2021. Besides this, they also launched India’s first online filmmaking course for kids Filmmaker Jr in 2020.

  • Ronnie C all set to make his Bollywood debut

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 11: Ronnie C is the newest kid in B-town! We hear that the former footballer and entrepreneur is all set to take the plunge into Bollywood and is on the verge of signing a contract with one of the biggest production houses in the country. His debut film is expected to go on floors this year and is set to release in early 2022.

    Aiming for perfection in his chosen field, Ronnie will attend the Los Angeles Acting School to hone his skills as an actor. He is on a 3-month assignment and will train under the international film director and acting coach, Michelle Danner, who has trained renowned actors including Salma Hayek, Henry Cavill, James Franco, Gerard Butler, Penelope Cruz, and Chris Rock. During this training, he will seek an opportunity to meet legendaries in Hollywood who could give him that quantum boost and a solid platform on his return.

    Asking about why Ronnie chose to be an actor over a footballer, he said “I like winning and want to be the best in whatever I do. My hard work will surely be visible to people and I aim to break all walls and become nothing but the best. Football has a limited window but as a born entertainer, acting was always the best option.”

    Ronnie grew up with a passion for football and moved to the United Kingdom when he was 15 to try out for the local club, Bishop’s Stortford. His flair and aptitude in the sport warranted him an opportunity with Southend United FC as a striker and a winger. Ronnie was the first Indian-born player to have played matches for their leagues as part of the first and reserve team for Southend United, Burton Albion and Brentford FC.

    Bollywood is a place for people who dare to dream big. Being an outsider and a newbie in the industry, Ronnie has come a long way to mark his place in B-town. No doubt about his personality but will he be able to make it to the big league? Time will tell.

  • Preetisheel Singh D’Souza celebrates five years of National Film Award for Best Makeup

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 10: Ace makeup and prosthetic look designer Preetisheel Singh D’souza recently put up an interesting post on social media with her picture receiving the National Award from former president Pranab Mukherjee, with Arun Jaitley seen beside. In the post, she celebrated five years of her winning the National Film Award for Best Makeup for the historical epic Nanak Shah Fakir based on the life of prophet Guru Nanak; the founder of Sikhism.

    “Today’s day marks a beautiful memory of a lifetime. Receiving my first National Award from the hands of stalwarts like Late Hon’ble President of India – Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Late Shri Arun Jaitley Ji.     For the record, Preetisheel has designed looks for several top artists in Bollywood’s box-office successes such as Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Chhichhore, 102 Not Out, Mulk, Bala, and Housefull 4. Her other credits include movies such as Andhadhun, Thackeray, Shivaay, Haider, Hawaizaada, Rangoon, Brothers, Talwar, Finding Fanny, Parched, Mom, Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW), Malaal, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Raat Akeli Hai, Panga, Ujda Chaman, House Next Door, Master, Bigil, Boomerang and 24.

    Her look design for Ranveer Singh as the intimidating pre-Mughal era emperor Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat was a rage. She also received widespread critical acclaim for designing the look for Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the biopic Thackeray based on Balasaheb Thackeray.

    Preetisheel was recently featured by the international website USA Newshour among the top best 5 makeup and prosthetic designers in the world, along with Hollywood stalwarts such as Kazu Hiro, Christian Tinsley, Jordu Schell, and Neill Gorton. She was the only woman featured in this top list of world-famous makeup and prosthetic designers.

    Along with her work partner-husband Mark D’souza, Preetisheel has set up India’s first makeup and prosthetic lab called Da Makeup Lab which is now a landmark in Versova, Mumbai. The talented lady is now preparing to launch the Preetisheel School of Character Design.

  • Boundless Media gears up for their internationally recognized satirical web series, Brave New World, on Hotstar.

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 06: In today’s crazy world, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not.

    Boundless Media is all set to release an anthology series, Brave New World, which is a satirical web series that looks at how media is reshaping the way we look at the world. Each episode will be 10-15 minutes long and the trailer has been released today on YouTube.

    The series covers an alternative reality- where friendships are for sale, patriarchy wins, and being haunted by your mind is scarier than being haunted by a ghost – in a darkly funny way.

    Brave New World stars talent like Keshav Sadhna, Anurita Jha, and Akashdeep Arora. The series has already garnered international recognition with official selections at Indo-French International Film Festival 2021 and Port Blair International Film Festival 2021. The four films within the anthology will drop weekly from 11th May 2021 onwards.

  • Web series ‘The Red Land’ is a story of power and struggle, released on Haider Kazmi’s OTT platform ‘Mastani’

The web series depicts the bloody consequences of the casteist fight in Purvanchal. Two dictators Bhai Amarpal Singh and Samarpal Singh ruled on their terms for more than three decades. This then begins with a young boy Ajit Yadav (who happens to be the son of his driver) fighting for casteism, power, and the power struggle.

    This web series stars Abhimanyu Singh, Govind Namdev, Shaleen Bhanot, Flora Saini as well as Dayashankar Pandey in the lead roles. It shows how casteism dominates in student politics, in this series. The series is directed by Vinay Srivastava. With the release of The Red Land, Haider Kazmi said that it has started and much more such meaningful and entertaining films are yet to come. There will also be films of our products on it.   • Rashi Parasrampuria to Represent India at Miss Teen International

    New Delhi [India], April 30: Rashi Parasrampuria was crowned as Miss. Teen India International at the Miss Teen Diva 2020 pageant in January 2021. She was crowned as the successor to Aayushi Dholakia.

    Miss Teen International is the world’s biggest teen pageant and Rashi will be representing India at the pageant. Miss Teen International has been happening since 1966. India will be aiming for a back-to-back win at Miss Teen International.
    Parasrampuria is a student of Bachelors’ in Business administration at Narsee Monjee Institute in Management Studies. The 18-year-old has been good in studies who secured 97 percent in the board exams of class 10th and 12th. She holds a keen interest in Dancing, public speaking, and marketing.

    She won Beauty with a Purpose at Miss Teen Diva 2020 where she raised more than 5 Lakh rupees to support the education of the underprivileged. She has been actively working on different social projects such as environment, cancer, etc, and keeps dedicating her time to bring a significant change.

    Rashi will have huge responsibilities on her shoulder at Miss Teen International 2021 as she will be competing with more than 30 countries for the crown. The last Miss Teen International, Aayushi Dholakia is from India and it gives a lot of expectations from Rashi at the pageant.

    Winning the Miss Teen India 2020 crown brought tears to Rashi’s eyes. She says that the efforts of 15 months counted and the feeling of being crowned as the queen was like a dream come true. I am privileged to have been believed in by the organization and the national director.

    New Delhi [India], April 27: As Covid-19 is having a major impact on the entertainment industry today, OTT platforms have become the sole source of entertainment for people. Because of this, Filmmaker Hyder Kazmi has created his OTT platform, named ‘Mastani’.

    His film ‘Jihad’, which has spread its charm at Cannes Film Festival and received 45 international awards, will soon be released on this platform.
