  • Geetika Mahandru Discusses How Indian Consumers Are Embracing Premium Spirits

Geetika Mahandru Discusses How Indian Consumers Are Embracing Premium Spirits

New Delhi [India], April 9: Today India’s premium pours have taken center stage in the lives of Millennials and Gen Z. Gone are the days when a drinking session used to be just about getting the buzz, the modern drinker wants a story in each sip.

Premium spirits have become the toast of the town, whether it’s that finely aged whiskey or the experienced craftsmanship behind a small batched gin, premium is the way to go.

Geetika Mahandru, President of IndoBevs, talks about this evolving landscape in India and

the shift in the choices of Indian consumers. She views this change, driven by a consumer base that values innovation and authenticity, as long-term and even accelerating.

With a focus on consumer engagement and market expansion, Mahandru aims to redefine how premium beverages are defined in India through her diversified offerings at IndoBev. Let’s explore her insights further.

The premium alcoholic beverage market is projected to reach a value of USD 430.38 billion by 2024. By 2034, it is expected to soar to an impressive USD 1,032.38 billion, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.10% over the decade.

A blend of cultural shifts, economic growth, and evolving consumer tastes is fueling this upward trajectory. As urbanization is accelerating, cities have become a cultural melting pots where people from a spectrum of choices come together to celebrate and in these situations, premium alcohol has emerged as a symbol of celebration and social status.

Geetika Mahandru says, “Tier 2 and 3 cities have emerged as hotspots for premium beverages as there are world-class liquor stores and bars that have a wide selection for everyone’s taste. Earlier premium drinks were limited to metropolitans and selected outlets but today you can easily find premium beverages in tier 2 and 3 cities.”

To add to this there is also a rise in disposable income which fuels their desire to have more elevated experiences. As wallets grow heavier, the comman man is not looking for common experience anymore, they covet luxury offerings which are perceived as accessible status symbols.

“This change in the willingness to splurge more in comparison to earlier generations shows a mental shift in the consumers that values quality over quantity. Their mantra seems to have changed to ‘less but better’ instead of ‘more but average’.” Believes Geetika Mahandru.

Another factor supporting this trend is the expanding and reliable distribution network which has made these drinks more available to different parts in India. by using structured frameworks distributers act as intermediaries between producers and retailers, they have a crucial role in enabling small and emerging brands to access winder markets by providing logistical support temperature controlled transport and ensuring traceability to protect from counterfeit products.

Social media and the rise in the popularity cocktail culture has added another angle to the premiumization trend. Cocktails have become more of an art form that is being amplified by the gen-z’s desire to create Insta-worthy moments.

As premiumization continues to take centre stage, the Alco-bev industry is pulling up its socks to cater to these demands. IndoBevs is at the forefront of this change with their premium offerings that cater to a varied palate.

Among their standout products is Wingman Blended Malt Whisky, meticulously crafted from Speyside Scottish single malts and featuring a convenient ‘Pop & Pour’ closure that enhances user experience. Another notable entry is Enso Japanese Whisky, celebrated for its refined craftsmanship and unique flavor profile. Complementing these are Eden Blended Malt WhiskyTom & Mew London Dry Gin, and Gods Own VSOP Brandy, each delivering not only exceptional taste but also a rich narrative of artistry behind every sip.

With an ever increasing appetite for exclusivity, brands are using locally sourced produce and trying macerated small batch drinks that will leave you wanting more!

“The future of drinking is going to be more about the experience that accompanies each sip rather than what’s in the glass and we at IndoBevs are eager to give you just that,” says Geetika Mahandru.

  • Breaking Down Types of Hair Transplant Techniques: FUT, FUE, DHI, & MHI Explained by Dr. Amit Agarkar

Breaking Down Types of Hair Transplant Techniques: FUT, FUE, DHI, & MHI Explained by Dr. Amit Agarkar

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 8: With hair transplants becoming increasingly common, more people are asking not just if they should do it, but how to do it right.

From comparing the hair transplant cost to worrying about natural-looking hair transplant results, the search for the perfect technique can feel overwhelming. That’s where Dr. Amit Agarkar steps in.

A trusted name in advanced hair restoration, Dr. Agarkar is known for blending medical precision with a personalised touch. He breaks down the four leading techniques: FUT, FUE, DHI, and the cutting-edge MHI (Modified Hair Implantation)—to help you determine what’s right for your hair and goals. “Choosing a hair transplant isn’t just about looks—it’s about reclaiming confidence,” says Dr. Agarkar.

Whether you’re exploring FUE vs FUT vs DHI / MHI or DHI better than FUE?, or hoping for an unshaven hair transplant with advanced Stem Cell PRP hair transplant therapy, this guide simplifies the science into real answers for real people.

    FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation)

FUT Hair Transplant involves removing a strip of scalp from the donor area, usually the back of the head, from which follicular units are removed and implanted in the balding area. This approach is economical and ideal for people with significant hair loss.

It can produce up to 4000 grafts every session and doesn’t involve shaving the head. Nevertheless, it usually requires a longer recovery of 10–14 days, resulting in a linear scar.

    Best for:

Those with severe baldness, looking for a budget-friendly solution, and not concerned about scarring.

    FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)

FUE Hair Transplant is a less invasive treatment than FUT since individual hair follicles are removed using a micro-punch tool and inserted into tiny wounds.

This technique avoids stitches, and recuperation takes only seven to ten days. A higher density of roughly 60 grafts per cm2 permits up to 5000 grafts per session. Although it costs a little more than FUT, it is a fantastic choice for outcomes that seem natural and leave minimal scarring.

    Best for:

Patients seek a minimally invasive procedure with a quicker recovery and better aesthetic outcomes.

    DHI (Direct Hair Implantation)

Employing a Choi implanter pen, the DHI Hair Transplant method advances FUE by enabling direct follicle implantation without requiring pre-existing incisions. It results in higher precision, particularly for regions like temples and hairlines.

With a high density of 70–80 grafts per cm2, it is renowned for causing less damage and promoting quicker healing. Depending on the patient’s inclination, they might choose to be wholly or partially unshaven.

    Best for:

Those aiming for high-density, natural results in targeted areas with a faster, less painful recovery.

    MHI (Modified Hair Implantation)

Dr. Amit Agarkar pioneered the MHI Hair Transplant method, which combines the benefits of FUE and DHI with cutting-edge instruments like a motorised extractor and the Lion Pen for implantation.

What distinguishes MHI is the use of cutting-edge scalp-optimizing procedures, including Stem Cell PRP, GFC PRP, and PDO threads. These treatments speed healing, increase graft survival, and improve recipient area health.

With the ability to handle up to 6000 grafts in one session and deliver up to 80 grafts per cm², MHI offers maximum density with quick, scar-free recovery. The procedure is discreet, with unshaven or partially shaved options available.

    Best for:

Individuals seek the most advanced, high-precision, natural results with fast healing and scalp rejuvenation benefits.

    • FUT: Most affordable, ideal for severe baldness, leaves a scar, and has a longer recovery.
    • FUE: Minimally invasive, faster recovery, moderate density, slightly higher cost.
    • DHI: High precision, best for small, high-density areas like hairlines, fastest healing
    • MHI: Combines speed, precision, and regenerative therapies, offering top-tier results and comfort.

Nowadays, there is no one-size-fits-all method for hair transplantation. Thanks to medical innovations spearheaded by specialists like Dr. Amit Agarkar, patients can access customised solutions that fit their unique demands and lifestyles. The first step to a confident new you is knowing your options, whether your goal is full coverage or just repairing a receding hairline.

  • Bollywood Composer-Singer Abhishek Ray Wins The Forbes Award For Wildlife Conservation

Bollywood Composer-Singer Abhishek Ray Wins The Forbes Award For Wildlife Conservation

New Delhi [India], March 28: After having won the north zone first, he was finally declared the national winner for this prestigious award by Forbes and Lions Clubs International in a glittering event at the ITC Grand Central, Mumbai, after a rigorous selection process conducted by Ernst and Young LLP.

Ray, a leading Bollywood composer, is known for investing all his life’s savings in converting a barren agricultural hill into a pristine forest. This unique ecosystem, adjacent to Corbett National Park, called Sitabani Wildlife Reserve, is India’s first rewilding project created by a solo individual with his private funds and relentless efforts.

Famed for the music for iconic films like Paan Singh Tomar, I am Kalam, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster, Welcome Back, Life is good, Shagird, Yeh Saali Zindagi etc., Abhishek Ray has earlier been awarded with Swabhiman Bharat & the prestigious Amazing Indian award by the Vice President of India along with a letter of appreciation by PM Modi for creating Sitabani Wildlife Reserve, the world’s first rewilded private sanctuary with wild tiger and leopard presence. His path breaking work in wildlife conservation is now being used as a precedent in many countries for rewinding degraded habitats.

Ray was recently approached by the United Nations and Government of India to create the branding anthem and film of the prestigious IBCA (International Big Cat Alliance), a dream project by PM Modi for bringing together 94 big cat holding countries of the world.

The IBCA anthem – ‘Guardians of the wild.’ which is conceived , composed, sung and filmed by Abhishek Ray ,depicts the glory & characteristics of the seven big cats as the apex predators of their natural habitats.
Bringing his music, filmmaking and conservation efforts together to save big cats, Abhishek Ray has recently filmed, sung and composed India’s National Cheetah Anthem for NTCA (National Tiger Conservation Authority) and created India’s national Tiger anthem earlier.

Right from his early teens, Abhishek Ray has been a Government bonafide tiger & leopard tracker having received multiple certifications for taking part in tiger census in various tiger reserves of India.

‘A decade and a half back, I chanced upon this barren hill adjacent to Corbett Tiger Reserve which had been abused by years of slash and burn agriculture. The hill was surrounded by dense Sal forest. So in my eyes, this degraded land was screaming to be returned back to the wild. My childhood dream of creating a haven for wildlife saw manifestation in this and when human interference was removed, nature took over. ‘, says Abhishek.

He did rain water harvesting and made several fresh water bodies on the land. The grass, bamboo, fruiting trees planted by him and particularly the water bodies became a magnet for 350 species of rare birds and ungulates like Sambar, Ghoral , Chital and Barking deer. Once the prey settled in, they were soon followed by apex predators. Thereby the broken tiger-leopard corridor was re-established and then a miracle happened.

The universe conspired and a wild tigress gave birth to cubs in the area. The cubs found save haven with perennial water, prey, thick undergrowth and no human disturbance. The tigress made Sitabani wildlife reserve famous by reposing her trust in Abhishek and rearing her cubs around a habitat that he created from barren hill.
‘Inspite of being the most populous country, we are home to 5 of the 7 big cats of the world (tiger, lion, leopard, cheetah, snow leopard).

Therefore India is a natural capital for the IBCA (International Big Cat Alliance) with its impeccable credentials in tiger-leopard conservation. ‘‘maintains the composer- conservationist.

Abhishek strongly believes that big cat numbers are an accurate indicator of freshwater, rainfall, clean rivers and the overall environmental health of India.

  • Dash Across the Waves: Anil Deswal’s Sea waves-to-Book pages Adventure

Dash Across the Waves: Anil Deswal’s Sea waves-to-Book pages Adventure

New Delhi [India], April 1: Meet Anil Deswal—or “Dash” when he’s scribbling away! A marine chief engineer from Rohtak, Haryana, Anil’s life story is as deep and unpredictable as the ocean he’s sailed for decades. He’s not just a sailor; he’s an external surveyor with the Mercantile Marine Department of India, a lead auditor with Class DNV, and a superintendent. And if that’s not enough, he’s also the president of the Merchant Navy Officers Welfare Association of NCR. But beneath the titles and the tough exterior is a storyteller at heart—a man who turns waves into words and experiences into ink.

Anil’s love for the sea isn’t just a job; it’s his lifeblood. He’s logged more miles on water than most of us can fathom, picking up stories and wisdom from every port. But the ocean isn’t the only thing that defines him. Raised on the rustic fields of Rohtak, he’s still a small-town guy at heart—vegetarian, lover of nature, and a deep thinker drawn to life’s philosophical corners. His NGO, Ek Haryana, reflects his spirit—supporting seafarers, helping animals, and giving anyone in need a hand up. For Anil, life’s a wild ride, and his books are how he shares the view.

The Sea Whispered, I Grabbed a Pen

How does a sailor become a writer? “I just wanted to say hi to the world,” Anil laughs. “The quiet of the sea gives you space to think. Maybe the waves whispered a little magic into me.” His first book wasn’t planned—it was born from long, still nights on deck, the rhythmic rise and fall of the ocean stirring thoughts that wouldn’t rest. That’s when “Dash” was born—a name that captured his urge to capture life’s wild moments in words.

His debut book, “Ankahi The Untold”, struck a chord with readers who saw pieces of themselves in his honest storytelling. It was raw and real—just like him.

    COVID Memoirs in a book

When the pandemic hit, the sea went quiet—but Anil’s mind didn’t. Ships stalled, airports locked down, and the whole world seemed stuck in limbo. That’s when Anil picked up his pencil. “Writing kept me sane,” he says. “It turned those dark days into something I could hold.” His second book, “Queen Corona Coronation”, is more than a pandemic memoir—it’s a snapshot of a global pause, seen through the eyes of a sailor. “I wanted it to be our story,” Anil says. “Something people could look back on and say, ‘Yeah, we survived that. ‘A record of days of pandemic for future generations well preserved each day wise with actual account of those days.

When the Pen Takes a Nap

Even Dash has off days. “Sometimes the words just don’t come,” he shrugs. “I get lazy, or the pencil just sits there.” His fix? “I back off. Let it breathe. Then when the spark hits—bam, I’m off!” It’s the patience of a sailor—waiting for the wind to turn, knowing that the tide always comes back.

    Village Roots, Ocean Breezes

“I’m a village boy at heart,” Anil grins. “Nature’s in my bones.” The fields of Rohtak taught him to stay grounded; the sea gave him the freedom to explore. “Those lone hours on the water—they’re gold,” he says. His writing reflects that balance—earthy warmth mixed with the salty unpredictability of the ocean. His books carry the simplicity of small-town life and the expansiveness of the sea—a rare blend that makes his work both intimate and universal.

    Books That Stick Around

Why keep writing? “Books don’t die,” Anil says. “They stick around longer than we do. They’re how I connect with the world.” For Anil, writing isn’t about fame or money—it’s about leaving a mark. “My stories won’t let me rest until I tell them,” he admits. “It’s like they’re tapping on my shoulder.”

His pandemic book, Queen Corona Coronation, stands as proof of that commitment. “It’s the real deal,” he says. “The chaos, the quiet, the weird beauty of it all. I wanted people to feel it.”

    From Pencil to Party

Publishing wasn’t easy. “I sent it everywhere,” Anil laughs. Olympia finally said yes, but the road didn’t end there. “Three rounds of edits—it was brutal,” he recalls. But he stuck with it, old-school style. “Handwritten drafts, pencil marks everywhere—it’s slow, but worth it.” For Anil, writing is like sailing: patient, steady, and rewarding.

    Dash’s Next Big Splash

Anil’s just getting started. A new novel is brewing—a fierce female lead at its center, fighting battles both external and internal. It’s due next year, and he’s excited about where it’s heading. Before that, a poetry collection—100 verses drawn from the deep—will hit shelves this year. “The sea’s my teacher,” Anil says. “There’s always more to learn.”

    A Guy Who Glows

Anil Deswal isn’t just a sailor or a writer—he’s a force. He’s lived a life shaped by the sea, anchored by the soil, and driven by a need to create. His books are more than stories; they’re pieces of his journey. Through storms and stillness, Anil’s voice remains steady, reminding us all to ride the waves and share the view.
