  • SRMD( Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur) Global Youth Festival – The Virtual Edition 2021

    Valsad, Gujarat : Celebrated the day of Love , a 24- hour immersive experience at a global confluence of world-renowned inspiring personalities including Spiritual Masters, Industry Leaders, Humanitarian Heroes and many more, together ignited a resolve for a positive, peaceful and better future.     On the occassion of Valentine’s Day, Pujya Gurudevshri conveyed that this is not the day of love , rather it’s the day for expressing love! HE explained that Love is the best medicine to all the problems! It is an emotion which is always responsive! The feeling of being loved is the best! And so, we should extend our love to each and everyone around us!

    SRLC is the charitable ten-fold programme of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. SRLC has been granted ‘Special Consultative Status’ by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) and promotes UN’s Sustainable Development Goals like no poverty, gender equality, decent work and economic growth. SRLC supports underprivileged tribal women in their quest towards attaining self-reliance and a respectable source of income.

    They are offered end-to-end support through employment opportunities, skill training, raw material and equipment, safe workplaces, as well as product marketing and distribution. These dedicated women produce over 100 desserts, snacks, fragrances and utility products.

    All proceeds from the Global Youth Festival 2021 will directly support in uplifting the lives of more and more tribal women in need.

  • Surat pays tribute to the brave Martyrs of Pulwama

    Surat, Gujarat [India] : In the second year of the Pulwama terror attack, a program to pay homage to the martyrs was organized by the Hearts at Work Foundation of Surat and Greenman Viral Desai. The country’s first Pulwama monument is located at the country’s number one Green Udhna junction station. So many eminent personalities of Surat city gathered to pay homage to the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama terrorist attack.

    In addition, monuments of ‘I Love Green Udhna Station’ prepared by Hearts at Work Foundation were unveiled at Udhna Junction Station. The Heart at Work Foundation also honored the founding members of two organizations in Surat, ‘Jai Jawan Nagarik Samiti Surat’ and ‘Maruti Veer Jawan Trust’ for their commendable work for the martyrs and soldiers of the country.

    Kanjibhai Bhalala of Jai Jawan Citizens Committee and Nanubhai Savlia of Maruti Veer Jawan Trust were specially present. The event was attended by NJ Group and NJ Charitable Trust founder and well-known industrialist Niraj Choksi as well as Bharatbhai Shah of Chhayado as guests.

    Commenting on the occasion, Greenman Viral Desai said, “Udhna station is now known as the number one green Udhna station in the country. While the country’s first and only Pulwama Martyrs’ Memorial is located at this green station, it is the responsibility of the citizens of Surat to remember our soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama terrorist attack on this day and to give due respect to their martyrdom. Surat is now known not only for its textiles, diamonds or food, but also for the country’s number one Green Udhna station as well as for the Pulwama monument designed with the environment in mind.

    So the special guest of the function, Nirajbhai Choksi, said, “The idea of linking the environment with the soldiers is commendable. With this idea, concrete work can be done in the field of environmental protection. ‘

    It may be mentioned that the Pulwama Martyr’s Memorial near Udhna station has a plaque with the names of the martyred soldiers, and several large trees have also been planted in a row in the names of all the martyred soldiers.

  • Distribution of stands by Rotary Club of Udhna at the Shahid Smriti Van

    Surat, Gujarat : The Rotary Club of Udhna distributed Drying Stands for clothes to the RPF Battalion personnel at RPF Colony, Udhna. The event was attended by Rotary Club of Udhna  President Vishal Merchant, Secretary Chetan Jariwala, Prakash Patel, Former President Manish Nayak, Nirali Choksi, Social Worker Nirali Nayak and Ami Merchant.

    It is worth mentioning that the first urban forest of Indian Railways is located near Udhna RPF Colony. Using the Miyawaki method, this urban forest was created by the Hearts at Work Foundation of Surat under the able leadership of Greenman Viral Desai. Says Greenman Viral Desai, “The Udhna RPF platoon comes from different parts of the country, spending more than twelve hours a day in the service of the country. We are working hard to alleviate the day-to-day problems of these troopers and we are grateful for the support of the Rotary Club of Udhna in this endeavor. ”

    Arjun Ram Bidasar, Head, Udhna RPF Battalion, expressed his gratitude and thanked the Rotary Club of Udhna on behalf of his entire team. In the near future, ten more stands will also be awarded to these soldiers by the Rotary Club of Udhna.

  • Social Entrepreneurship is Being Revived in the form of ‘Scoop Beats Private Limited’ by Young Entrepreneurs Akhilendra and Divya

    New Delhi, [India] : India has been home to a few of the brightest and highly talented entrepreneurs in the world. Entrepreneurship is becoming more and more popular among the youth of the nation. Not only does entrepreneurship make the young generation independent but it also makes them aware of their social responsibilities. Social entrepreneurs in India are very limited. These are entrepreneurs who work for the benefit of society. They are responsible for generating business for a social cause. There are several hurdles in their path but the driving force behind them is the idea to uplift lives for the collective good. Akhilendra Sahu and Divya Gandotra Tandon are two such young social entrepreneurs in India who are working for the betterment of society.

    Divya, who is often hailed as the ‘Tech Girl’ of the YouTube community, is a 19-year-old talented girl from Jammu and Kashmir. She started her career as a Youtuber because of her inclination towards technology. Soon, she realized she could do for the betterment of the people and hence decided to become an entrepreneur. She founded TheScoopBeats, a company that works in the field of news and digital media. She now works as the CEO of the company and is looking forward to setting up new projects as well. Akhilendra is a 20-year-old boy from Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh who started his entrepreneurial voyage as a freelancer in the industry. His dream to have his own company became reality in the form of ASTNT Technologies Private Limited. He has also founded several other companies under the banner of the same.

    Divya and Akhilendra have previously partnered and co-founded Scoop Beats. Now they are once again teaming up for another project with the intent to help the youth in the state of Jammu and Kashmir to acquire jobs for themselves. Their new project is named ‘Scoop Beats Pvt. Ltd.’ and is a digital media company. They wish to offer the young generation in the state a chance to work either full-time or part-time in the field of digital media. ‘Scoop Beats Pvt. Ltd.’ was initially a blog that was developed in August 2018 for featuring listicles. It was based on inspiration received from popular websites such as Buzzfeed and ScoopWhoop. Later on, Akhilendra and Divya decided to develop the blog into a fully functional company at a time when India began experiencing a digital revolution. It was the right time to hammer the nail.

    Through the new project, Divya and Akhilendra aim to establish a platform for different modes of media. They intend to cover all the news in various niches such as Technology, Science, Entertainment, Health, and Business. Also, there will be no language barriers involved. The company’s objective is to intrigue the readers and grab their attention. There will be no compromise in terms of reliability and authenticity of the news. It will practice pure and transparent journalism. The state of Jammu and Kashmir is the ideal choice made by the two entrepreneurs as it is the talented and skilled young generation. What it lacks is the availability of ample employment opportunities. The new project will be filling in this gap up to some extent for sure.

    Seeing such young entrepreneurs taking up social responsibilities shows that the young generation in India is walking down the right path. Development of the nation is what they want and are willing to make efforts for it.   • Grand road show rally organized by Youth nation- ‘Say NO to drugs campaign’

    Surat, [India] : On account of the nation’s 72th Republic day, Youth Nation gave the message of ‘Say NO to drugs’ to the country through a huge car rally. This is the seventh straight year since they started rallying to spread awareness among the youth. Members of various organizations in the city including Youth Nation and Surat City Police came together and successfully conducted the event.

    The Say NO to Drugs Roadshow rally was led by the National Police at 5 pm from the civic amenities center, Athwalines, traffic police personnel and members of the city’s famous biking queens. It was flagged off by none other than BJP state president CR Patil. Traffic police and Bike Queens were followed by a convoy of luxury cars, with the message ‘No to Drugs’ written on all of them. The highlight of the roadshow rally was three 20-foot trailers were uniquely and beautifully decorated as they conveyed the message of NO to drugs to the public. On the auspicious occasion of Republic day, musical bands UDAAN and ACOUSTIC performed and sung patriotic songs. Famous singer Bhavin Shastri glorified the event with his melodious voice. Dignitaries including MLA Harsha Sanghvi, Jhankhana Patel, MP Darshana Zardosh, and Nirav Shah were part of the program.

    Youth nation booked its place in the Gujarat book of records as it brought together more than 200 organizations for the same social cause. Vikas Doshi, the founder president of the Youth Nation Society said “Youth nation organizes a roadshow rally every year to bring the youth of the country out of drug addiction and to keep the youth away from drugs to bring awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse. We organized the rally for the seventh consecutive year with a great aim and message. On behalf of the Youth Nation team, I humbly appeal to every citizen of Surat to cooperate with the Youth Nation in bringing out the drug-demon from our city”.

    The event was conducted considering COVID-19 guidelines and all the necessary precautions were taken. Vikas Doshi added “COVID-19 guidelines were fully followed in the rally. Only 100 people joined according to government guidelines, as well as masks and social distances were compulsorily followed. Sanitizers were also used”.

  • Gautam Khaitan pays tribute to the vanguard of modern India

    The family patriarch, Devi Prasad Khaitan was a legendary lawyer and a member of the the Drafting Committee of Constituent Assembly that the drafted the Indian Constitution

    New Delhi, [India] : While lauding the stalwarts of the Indian Constitution-making process, managing partner of OP Khaitan & Co — Gautam Khaitan remembers one of his great-grandfathers Devi Prasad Khaitan as the vanguard of the Indian legal profession this Republic Day. An illustrious lawyer and prominent statesman, DP Khaitan enjoyed the rare honour of being one of the architects of our Constitution.

    A pioneer of modern Indian law, DP Khaitan was born on August 14, 1888. He graduated first class in law from the prestigious Presidency College of Calcutta along with some of the most brilliant minds that includes Rajendra Prasad, BadridasGoenka, and JN Mazumdar amongst others. At a time when racial discrimination was at its peak, it was difficult for him to kickstart his career with a British firm. Consequently, he joined Manuel and Agarwalla.

    Known for his oratorical and argumentative skills, he attracted the attention of the whole legal fraternity including the Chief Justice on one fine day while arguing a case as a junior under the legendary DeshbandhuChittaranjan Das. As the clients started pursuing him in incredible numbers, young DP Khaitan with his with his brothers went on to establish Khaitan & Co and the rest is history.

    “Being a Marwari, entrepreneurship was naturally ingrained in him. His practical advice had the biggest names in Calcutta turning to him for legal counsel. Moreover, he co-founded the Indian Chamber of Commerce in 1925 and Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries with Sir PurushottamdasThakurdas and GD Birla in 1926,” says Gautam Khaitan.

    He said that out of all DP Khaitan’s astonishing achievements, being a member of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly is the greatest of honours for his family. “It is really a great honour Interestingly, the Constitution we have today clearly reflects the ideas of all of our founding fathers.”

    “We are proud of this nation and The Constitution of India is the backbone of this beautifully diverse country. This peace, tranquility, and progress would not have been possible without such a beautiful Constitution which attempted to balance the interests of a vibrantly diverse population. I would like to pay homage to all of the Constituent Assembly members who took so much pain to bring us a document that still stands tall today”
