    Around 200 dedicated employees and other young and dynamic teams associated with Paras Group participated in the flag hoisting ceremony at Paras Healthcare office in Jodhpur, Ahmedabad.

    “We celebrate Independence Day each year, but the enthusiasm this year to celebrate the 75th Independence Day was something else. The 75th Independence Day is a big milestone in the history of our country, and we are privileged and proud to be taking part in the celebrations in sync with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” said Prakash Shah, Founder, Paras Group.

    August 16: The Thar Club Of Gujarat (TCOG) and Tharstory organised an Independence Day Drive on Monday to mark the completion of 75 years of Independence.

    Forty-five Thar jeeps, with 75 persons, many of them wearing white, green, and saffron clothes, and armed with the tricolour, participated in the Independence Day drive.

    The drive was flagged off from Avalon Hotel near Thaltej at 9:00 am and proceeded to Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar before returning to the starting point at around 11:30 am. Patriotism was in the air as the participants chanted slogans such as Bharati Mata Ki Jai and Jai Hind.

    “The 76th Independence Day is a special landmark in the history of our great country. The excitement around the Independence Day celebrations is unmatched because of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga initiatives announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To signify the importance of the number 75, we had nearly 75 participants in the drive of around 75 km.

    We look forward to participating in more events as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” said Gagan Goswami, Founder and Managing Director of Heritage Infraspace, the pioneer of ground engineering solutions such as diaphragm walls.

    August 16:Exhibition on Biofuels was organized by Indian Oil Corporation in Ahmedabad as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations on 12.08.2022 to create awareness of recent developments in the Biofuels sector. The national biodiesel blending program will help many Biodiesel manufacturers, particularly in MSME units. The exhibition also covered newly launched GreenCombo lubes, Xtra Green Diesel, and LPG composite cylinders and displayed various fuels, including biofuels. The exhibition also had a model of a sustainable village. The exhibition attracted a large crowd.

    Padma Shri awardee   Sh. Genabhai Patel narrated his success story of farming pomegranates, which led to a multifold increase in farmers’ income. He also shared his vision for installing small biogas plants in villages which can further reduce the use of fossil fuels and increase the income of households.

    Shri Shwetal Shah, Technical Advisor, Dept. of Climate Change, Govt of Gujarat, shared the latest development and initiatives by Govt. of Gujarat to promote Biofuels in the state.

    Quiz& Drawing competitions on Biofuels were organized involving schoolchildren, in which many students participated. The dignitaries rewarded the winners.

    The exhibition concluded on a note of re-affirming the IOC’s commitment to promoting Biofuels for achieving sustainability and a carbon-neutral society.

    New Delhi,  August 15: National Museum of Indian Cinema hosted Filmmakers Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Subhash Ghai, along with Actors Jackie Shroff and Divya Dutta, for a flag hoisting ceremony on India’s 75th Independence Day celebration. Also present at the occasion were producer Shabbir Boxwala and screenwriter Sandeep Shrivastava.

    A free for all screening of the popular patriotic films Karma, Bhag Milkha Bhag and Shershaah was also organised for the public. This year the celebration marks the 75th year of India’s independence with the country celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, called upon by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

    National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) is the first film museum in the country that chronicles 100 years of Indian cinema in the country, from its very first motion picture ‘Raja Harishchandra’ to the cinema in today’s era, which is technically much advanced. It made the perfect venue to celebrate cinema and India’s independence together on this special occasion.

    It was a sight to see the representatives of Hindi Cinema hoisting the flag and singing the National Anthem in all its glory.

    Talking to the media, MD, NFDC and CEO, CBFC, Mr. Ravinder Bhakar, said, “This year is special for all Indians in India and staying across the globe, as we commemorate the 75th year of our independence.     Talking about Karma, filmmaker Subhash Ghai said, “Cinema has that magic that can connect with the audiences, their heart and soul completely. Talking about patriotism in cinema, when it is a writer, he has to feel the emotions of patriotism, the director has to feel it, and the actors have to feel those emotions for their country. That’s how you create magic.”

    “Those lines Har Karam Apna Karenge, Aye Watan Tere Liye… I think it was felt by everyone involved in the film, and hence audiences felt those emotions too.” He added.

    Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra spoke about Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The filmmaker said, “Through Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, I wanted to tell a story around Partition and the price many lives had to pay for this independence that we celebrate today. I remember Milkha Singh saying meri saari nafrat Pakistan ke khilaf mit gayi, after he saw the film. That’s the feeling the film was made for.”

    Divya Dutta speaking at the occasion, said, “I am absolutely fortunate to have been part of films that are about the country. I absolutely felt the pain of a sister while playing my character. It is magic that as actors, we are able to feel their emotions, their pain, their pride through those real-life characters that we play on screen.”

    More than 30,000 people, the majority of them Muslims, participate in the massive yatra organised by KP Human Development Foundation.

    Surat (Gujarat) [India], August 15: The Diamond City of Surat witnessed a unique Tiranga Samman Yatra. Organised by KP Human Development Foundation, the massive yatra commenced after the Friday afternoon prayers and saw the voluntary participation of more than 30,000 persons, the majority of them Muslims.

    Carrying a 100-metre long tricolour, the yatra commenced near Gilani bridge on Rander-Gorat road, a minority community-dominated area. Thousands of women, elders, school children, madrassa students, volunteers from more than 100 organisations, and other citizens participated in the yatra and expressed their undying love for the country and the tricolour. Local traders and business persons also participated in large numbers.

    Amid an endless sea of tricolour, 30,000 and 40,000 people of all religions and sects took part in the Tiranga Samman Yatra, presenting a perfect example of communal harmony and unity in diversity that Surat is famous for.

    The yatra stretched for more than a kilometre and was an unprecedented one in Surat in recent times. The yatra created a festive and patriotic atmosphere in the area amid beating drums and other musical instruments, playing patriotic songs, and shouting slogans such as Jai Hind and Azadi Amar Raho.

    The yatra passed from Adajan patia before culminating at Gujarat Gas circle in Adajan. KP Human Development Foundation’s Chief Director Faruk Patel led the playing of the national anthem at the culmination of the yatra.

    KP Human Development Foundation had supported the unique Tiranga Samman Yatra with a clarion call of uniting for the love of the country, communal harmony, and unity.

    Gujarat BJP President, Navsari MP CR Patil, minister Purnesh Modi, and Surat mayor Hemali Boghawala participated in the Tiranga Samman Yatra. Leaders from the Congress, AAP, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), and other parties, as well as former councillors, also enthusiastically took part in the yatra. They lauded the organisers for the unique yatra. Former deputy mayor Nirav Shah accompanied the entire Yatra and dutifully played the role of a guide.

    The Tiranga Samman Yatra was organised in the run-up to the 75th Independence Day, a landmark occasion in the country’s history.

For the first time, Surat-based Kiran Multi Super Speciality Hospital has announced free surgeries and treatment for 750 children under the age of ten to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence—Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

    “We wanted to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav uniquely with our service to the nation and the next generation,” said Shree Mathur Savani, chairman of Kiran Hospital. “The Kiran Hospital’s board of trustees has decided to provide free treatment for complex illnesses and organ transplants to an estimated 750 children under the age of ten from across the country.”

    Kiran Hospital has estimated that the treatment of 750 children from across the country will cost Rs 100 crore. Trustees, the majority of whom are from the diamond industry, have decided to contribute to the noble cause as part of the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence.

    Mr Savani informed that parents of children with complex illnesses and those in need of organ transplants may register their children with all medical reports within one month, beginning August 12. “We are inviting children from all over the country to register.” To receive the benefits, parents must submit all relevant medical reports for their children.”

    Mr Savani, Kiran Hospital is the first in the country to offer free blood to patients admitted to any hospital in south Gujarat.

    Halasu festival was also organized with the aim of introducing the children to the various dishes that can be made from jackfruit. The children enjoyed many delicacies such as jackfruit cake, nutritive milk of jackfruit seeds, jackfruit festival, and jackfruit chips.

    The programme culminated with a grand musical and cultural programme. Shri Dinesh Shahra took the lead in the musical performances singing songs in praise of Lord Shiva and Goddess Saraswati. Besides, various cultural programs such as Loha Tharanga, Guru Gita, Bharatanatyam, drama, folk dance and Yakshagana were presented by the male and female students of Gurukula.

    Talking about District President Rajsinha Eknath Rajenimbalkar’s background, he completed his 12th in Osmanabad and did his higher education at Vivekananda College, Kolhapur, with a degree in Political Science. Hence, he pursued a correspondence MBA course at Symbiosis in Pune and earned a post-graduate degree in International Politics from Pune University.     When Rajsinha Eknath Rajenimbalkar returned to Osmanabad, he started looking after his father’s property development business and handled the construction work with the help of his relatives. While working in these sectors, Rajsinha noticed how peculiar the thinking and lifestyle is of people from Marathwada. He believed that if the youth in the region are given opportunities, they will reach greater heights. To achieve the same, Rajenimbalkar joined the Nationalist Party 12 years ago.

    With some great advice from his father and taking inspiration from his humanitarian work, Rajsinha Eknath Rajenimbalkar realised where to give the most focus and how to work on the development. While pursuing his political dreams, Rajsinha excelled in various fields like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jubilee and Essay Competitions, Eloquence Competitions, Dance Competitions, Lecture Series, and many more.     Viral Desai’s philanthropic arm “Hearts At Work Foundation” had adopted the Udhna railway station and since 2019, various projects aimed at conserving the environment have been undertaken at the station.

    Surat railway station’s station director Dinesh Verma said, “The Udhna railway station has become synonymous with cleanliness and an example as far as environmental conservation is required. The credit for the transformation of Udhna railway station goes entirely to Hearts At Work Foundation and Viral Desai.”

    It is noteworthy that Udhna railway station is home to the country’s first Pulwama Martyrs Memorial. More than 50 paintings of environment protection and green gallery with facts and figures of environment awareness is created at the station, a sparrow zone with 400 sparrows is also located within the station premises. Moreover, the Indian Railway first urban forest has been prepared in the campus of Udhna station. The urban forest has been developed with the popular Miyawaki tree plantation method and has been named Shahid Smriti Van.
