     Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 16: Insurance Institute of India, a professional Institute devoted solely to insurance underwriting education released two survey outcomes, one on “risk” and another on “Telemedicine”. The survey was conducted on 230 respondents from 29 organisations.

    Sharad Mathur, MD & CEO, Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Limited unveiled both the survey reports in a session held on 12th April 2022 at Insurance Institute of India (III) premises at BKC in Mumbai. The reports were released in the presence of Devesh Srivastava, Chairman cum Managing Director, GIC Re and Prof (Dr) Dilip Ukey Vice-Chancellor, Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Deepak Godbole, Secretary-General of III, senior officials and other faculty members of the Institute.

    “Surveys provide people’s opinions, views and reflect on behaviours that could help in taking important decisions and plan strategies. It is collective wisdom through knowledge sharing. This initiative of Insurance Institute of India to undertake a survey by the participation of decision-makers in the insurance industry and sharing results back to the industry by way of a report is greatly appreciated,” said Sharad Mathur, MD & CEO, Universal Sompo.

    The ‘risk’ survey provides insights into the risk perception in the near future for the Indian insurance industry and the survey on ‘Telemedicine’ elaborates on the views of doctors and patients about the ease, practicalities, and usefulness of Telemedicine during and after the pandemic. The Telemedicine survey of 230 respondents across age groups, gender, location, and occupation was carried out to understand the awareness concerning usage and concerns related to telemedicine. Another reason to do this survey was to understand the feasibility of telemedicine in engaging patients on a digital platform and to study the rate of satisfaction achieved after using the mode of telemedicine.

    Survey reveals that the Indian insurance industry is resilient enough to continue to serve policyholders. Data management and analytics occur as a vital factor for successful operations in the long run and may remain beneficial for all stakeholders, including policyholders.

    Prof. Dr Ukey shared that the Insurance Institute of India (III) and MNLU plan to launch a joint initiative for insurance industry participants in the area of insurance laws. Deepak Godbole, Secretary-General of III said, ”Collaboration between industry and academia is key to catalyse innovation and growth. Through survey reports, the Insurance Institute of India thought of compiling the feelings, expectations, and concerns of decision-makers in the Indian insurance industry. We hope to continuously improve the quality education on insurance underwriting in India and globally”. Mr Deepak added that the Insurance Institute of India is working on many new initiatives including creating a repository of case studies in insurance.

    April 16: It is tough to stand out in a profession like photography since there is too much competition. However, Akshit Garg, an Indore-based Photographer with more than 7 years of experience proved it wrong with consistency in his work no matter how many obstacles came his way.

    In Indore, Akshit is a well-known name since he has been working tirelessly for 7 years. Akshit had said on numerous occasions that his passion for photography and telling a story with each picture he captures made him excel in this field. Eventually, turning his passion into a profession!

    For those who don’t know, Akshit hails from Indore and first held the camera at the young age of 13 while traveling with his parents who are fond of traveling. During this trip, Akshit captured some landscapes that are too good for a teenager. Surely, his talent is recognized by his parents and soon he started learning photography from a profession, Mr. Hemshankar Pathak. Soon he learned the tricks of photography and brushed up his skills while practicing with his mentor.

    Within no time, the young photographer stepped into commercial photographysuch as shooting portraits for family and friends, architecture photography, product photography, nature photography, and so on.Akshit stays active on social media platforms and remains eager to communicate and engage with his followers. He’s been followed by more than 11K followers on Instagram.

    AKSHIT’S ACHIEVEMENTS

    Till now, Akshit has managed to hold two solo exhibitions where he showcased the photographs that he captured while on his 21-day-long road trip to Little Tibet AKA Ladakh. Thenbudding and now’s established photographer, Akshit also shot a Time-Lapse video that became the talk of the town when printed in a widely known newspaper. To say, Akshit has brought fame and pride to his hometown will be an understatement.

    Over the past few years, he has grown professionally while exploring different streams of photography such as Product Photography, Architectural Photography, and Aerial Photography in which he has excelled.

    In the year 2018, all of his hard work finally paid off when he was called for Ambani’s wedding. Yes, that’s true! Akshit was called to shoot for India’s business magnate, Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Sangeet Function. This event has shaped his career quite well across India.

    Akshit added more feathers to his hat by working with the MP Police for a social cause during the lockdown. Akshit joined hands with the Indore Police for digital patrolling with the help of drone surveillance to check any illegal activities happening in the city.

    Later to his amazement, Akshit enrolled in a diploma degree in photography and did a job of getting exposure and experience in visual arts as well.

    While talking to a leading website, the talented photographer shared some words of wisdom for everyone following their passion. He shared, “In these years, I have never even taken a weekend off. I wander around with my camera wishing not even a single beautiful moment passes without me capturing it, be it in nature or when someone smiles softly, the kind of smile that makes other people happy. More than that, it is about capturing the beauty of the moment in front of me. Beauty lies wherever you tend to search for it and almost everything, even an inanimate object has a story of its own to tell”.

    He has been running his photography company successfully under the name of ‘AKSHIT PHOTOGRAPHY’. All these years working in the photography field, Akshit has found the weak point the need of any clients and the digital service providers.     April 15: Dreams give us the power to do the things that we can only think about. But Motovlogger Bayya Sunny Yadav was the first person who moved towards the shore of success by achieving their goals in life. He decided to plan his next trip from Hyderabad to London on his motorbike. He also has the accolades of the 1st Telugu Motovlogger to complete 1 million subscribers on YouTube besides having many long-journey bike records to many districts of various states of India including Lucknow, Nadabet, Kanyakumari, and even Bangladesh.

    Usually, if people travel one hundred kilometers, they usually get tired but Sunny was a champion. He traveled thousands of kilometers without stopping. He also went abroad on his bike. He has traveled to all the states except two in India. During this journey of thousands of kilometers, he never tired of sitting on a bike.

    Born in a very middle-class family, Sunny, started his dream of being a biker, he started driving his father’s bike at 13 years and took a 2nd hand Yamaha RX 100 after getting a license at 18 years.

    Since then, he has is not looked back for him and during the middle of his many trips, even if the bike was punctured or needs repairs, he did not stop in fear. He would continue his journey on the bike. The ride on this bike has brought immense recognition to him and became an inspiration.

    In 2018, he tried his idea and decided to do a Motovlogger from Suryapet to Vizag. Sunny’s parents initially did not agree with his idea of a 480 km distance, alone ride on a bike. They were frightened and said that Sunny didn’t catch on, though. He told them to be courageous and not to interrupt him for two years. His first journey was very difficult and had a lot of hurdles and problems. Sunny had to wait to get recognition. He shoots the entire journey with his camera and explains the details of the area and tells the story in Telugu as entertainment. He started a YouTube channel called Bhayya Sunny Yadav and uploaded the videos.

    His first MotoVlog cost around Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 to complete. Sunny did not ask for this money at home. He won money and played the Kabaddi game so that he can earn some money for his journey. He created new records and got a lot of recognition and success.

    He has created six records in India World Records so far and received the first award from India World Records for covering a distance of 500 km between Hyderabad and Nagpur on a 390cc bike in 05:01:00 minutes. He took the second award when he reached the distance of 1000 km between Hyderabad to Rewa (MP) in 10:22:00 minutes.

    From completing the 1348 km distance between Hyderabad and Lucknow in 15:47:00 minutes, reaching the 1270 km distance from Hyderabad to Kanyakumari at 15:32:00, the first Telugu moto vlog by Sunny on the YouTube channel tyakshi completed the distance of 4500 km in just ten days. He has won six awards from India World Records. He also earned a place in the India Book of Records to cover the distance of 1348 km between Hyderabad and Lucknow in 15:47:00 minutes.

    April 15: The Screen Writers Association (SWA) in a most audacious initiative,  set up a Script Lab last year that aims to give 6 deserving writers an opportunity to have their scripts mentored by the best contemporary writers/directors of Hindi film industry.

    SWA has roped in Abhishek Chaubey, Alankrita Shrivastava, Smita Singh, Sudip Sharma, Shakun Batra, and Vikramaditya Motwane as mentors for these 6 scripts. Each mentor will be reading and mentoring at least four of the six scripts during the lab. Robin Bhatt, President, SWA, on final selection of winners said, “SWA is happy to announce six sets of writers with Six complete scripts, mentored by Six brilliant and acclaimed writers/ directors. It’s a SIXER. ALL THE WAY.”

    Mitesh Shah, Chairperson, SWA’s Event Sub-committee said, “With the Script Lab we aim to connect emerging screenwriters with eminent makers who have successfully navigated the industry with their distinct body of work and help them mentor their first drafts. It has been a truly humbling experience selecting six scripts out of six hundred entries through a rigorous and transparent selection process. We hope this helps them get a meaningful perspective on their drafts and simultaneously get their foot in the door.”

    The entire process which began with inviting entrees to ended with the announcement of final winners was divided into two stages.

    In Stage one, entries were called for SWA Script Lab on 8th September 2021. All SWA Members and non-members were eligible to participate. The participants were required to submit their bio, a writer’s statement, logline-synopsis along with the first ten pages of the Script.

    A total of 601 entries were received and a team of 12 readers went through in the first round of evaluation to bring them down to 61. Post which the 61 entries were re-distributed among the readers to arrive at the shortlist of the top 30.

    In the next Stage, the writers of these top 30 scripts were invited to submit their full length script which were then read by six readers in multiple rounds to arrive at the top 12 and finally the Six Winners were chosen for the Script Lab 2022 after an additional tie-breaker round.

    The readers who went through the humongous process of shortlisting the scripts in stage 1 are Prathyush Parasuraman, Garima Pura, Roopal Kewalya, Arati Raval, Yashna Malhotra, Mirat Trivedi, Puspangshu Chowdhury, Rigved Siriah, Arkesh Ajay,  Chirag Garg, Manoj Kalwani, Arpit Purohit. The Readers of stage 2 are  Pooja Tolani, Debashish Irengbam, Sweksha Bhagat, Hitesh Kewalya, Gaurav Patki, Dinkar Sharma.

    The Script Lab will be conducted in the month of May 2022. Each of the six winning scripts will be mentored by four of the mentors in one-on-one sessions. After the mentoring, the writers will be free to pitch their scripts to any of the production houses or independent filmmakers.
