New Delhi [India], July 25: In a major step towards creating egalitarian access to quality engineering education in India, tech billionaire and seasoned venture capitalist Prasanna Sankar announced a scholarship potentially worth up to ₹11 lakh for students enrolling in the Scaler School of Technology (SST). The scholarship aims to allow high-potential students to pursue their Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence ambitions with no concern for finances or the need to compromise on college or specialisation.

The Prasanna Sankar Scholarship is available to students taking JEE, BITSAT, SAT, or Olympiads (IOI, IMO) in 2025. It’s intended for high achievers potentially limited by their available choices or finances. Every year, countless capable students are forced to compromise, settling for the wrong branch or the wrong college despite their previous successes, and falsely believing those are their only options. With so few seats available at IITs/NITs, potential is routinely squandered. Candidates have to secure admission to SST by clearing the Scaler National Scholarship and Entrance Test (NSET) and subsequent interviews to be considered eligible for the grant.

The scholarship structure is tiered to reward academic excellence across major national and international entrance exams, while also promoting gender inclusivity. For JEE 2025 aspirants, waivers begin at 20% for male candidates scoring between the 95–97 percentile, and go up to 60% for those above the 99.5 percentile; female students receive an additional 5% in every band, making it up to 65% at the highest tier. Similar slabs apply to BITSAT scores, starting at 20% for scores between 230 and 259 and increasing to 50% for scores above 310, with females again receiving a 5% bonus across the board. SAT scorers are also eligible; those scoring 1450–1500 receive a 20% waiver (25% for females), while a perfect score (1550–1600) secures up to 40% (45% for females).

Students demonstrating excellence in Mathematics — such as scoring in the 99th percentile and above in the JEE Math section — can earn up to 30% (35% for females). Olympiad achievers who’ve represented India in the IOI or IMO are awarded a full 100% tuition waiver, while those who reach the national rounds (INOI/INMO) are eligible for a 50% (55% for females) tuition waiver.

Announcing the initiative, Prasanna Sankar shared that his journey—from a young coder in India to co-founding a $10 billion unicorn in Silicon Valley—was made possible by timely access to the right opportunities. Through this scholarship, he aims to offer the same to India’s next generation of tech talent.

A NIT Trichy Alumni in Computer Science, Prasanna has attained global stature by ranking #1 on TopCoder India and being a two-time finalist in both Google Code Jam and the ACM ICPC World Finals. New Delhi [India], July 25: In a move to transform the transportation of materials in remote terrains, India’s leading indigenous UAV manufacturing firm, BonV Aero announced the successful completion of live trials of its Logistics and Goods Supply (LGS) drone in collaboration with the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) elite CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) Unit.

The demonstration, conducted in high-risk jungle terrain, showcased the drone’s ability to deliver critical supplies in areas where conventional road convoys face persistent threats and delays. As part of the trials, BonV Aero executed two key missions with the CRPF’s anti-Naxal operations team.

The first mission involved a 10 km round-trip conducted under night conditions, during which the drone paradropped a 20 kg payload with precision at the designated site. A subsequent daytime mission on the same route reaffirmed the platform’s consistency in performance and navigational accuracy.

“The successful completion of both sorties underscores the LGS drone’s capability to carry meaningful payloads across rugged geographies under varied environmental conditions,”  Abinash Sahoo, Co-founder & CTO, BonV Aero, said.

CRPF officials observing the trials commended the system’s operational readiness and feasibility, calling it a potential game-changer in operational logistics for conflict zones and disaster-hit regions.

In an era dominated by competition, stress, and the constant race for more, renowned industry expert and motivational speaker, Mr. Sanjeev Kwatra offers a timely call for introspection. Through a deeply reflective message, he emphasises that the challenges facing Indian society today, especially among the youth, stem not from the erosion of values but from their transformation, misuse, and misunderstanding. “The term ‘values’ itself becomes questionable when we say they are declining. If they are truly values, they don’t decline — they evolve,” he explains.

A Shift in Perspective, Not a Decline in Values

Western societies are often viewed as examples of cultural decline. However, he challenges this notion by highlighting the calmness, order, and self-care that many Western countries exhibit. People there value solitude, connect with nature, take regular vacations, and nurture a reading culture things that support mental and emotional well-being.

Meanwhile, India is witnessing a growing disconnect from its own value systems. “We’ve become trapped in constant utility,” he observes. From chasing salaries to increasing productivity, the rhythm of Indian urban life leaves little room for rest, reflection, or personal growth. The focus has shifted from being to doing and often, doing too much.

Greed, Growth & the Misplaced Pursuit of Wealth

Mr. Sanjeev Kwatra addresses a core concern: the rising greed masked as ambition. He likens the uncontrolled desire for money to overeating, just as the body can only consume a limited amount of food, the pursuit of wealth should also have natural limits. But in today’s world, wealth has become a number game with no finish line.

“It’s not that earning money is wrong. It only becomes harmful when it brings stress and robs us of peace,” he explains. He advocates earning through balance, making enough to feel secure, but not at the cost of well-being or personal relationships.

Youth and the Art of Balance

Speaking directly to students and young professionals, Mr. Sanjeev Kwatra emphasises that youth is the time to build not just careers but character. He warns against equating money with success. “Money should be seen as a tool, not a target,” he says. At this formative stage, chasing financial goals too early can dilute intellectual clarity and emotional strength.

He encourages young minds to seek meaning rather than merely outcomes. Books, physical activity, and hobbies should take priority over scrolling on mobile phones. Laptops, he adds, are better tools for learning, while phones often breed distraction. The focus should be on mindful use of resources, not mindless consumption.

Time Is Life: Learn to Use It Mindfully

A large part of imbalance, he believes, comes from poor time management. “Time is life itself. Wasting time is wasting life,” he remarks. He criticises the passive overconsumption of entertainment, especially television and social media, which often serve as escapes but end up stealing hours.

As a remedy, he recommends age-old Indian practices like Tratak—a yogic eye exercise that improves focus and cleanses visual toxins. Simple, practical disciplines like this, when practised daily, help restore inner calm and increase clarity. True time management, he adds, isn’t just about scheduling. It’s about discerning how much time to give to each activity and ensuring it’s adding value, not just passing time.

Stress and Body Awareness: The Need to Let Go

Mr Sanjeev Kwatra also addresses the silent epidemic of youth stress, often intensified by parental pressure and societal expectations. Goals are important, he agrees, but obsessively clinging to them is counterproductive. He offers a helpful analogy: “If you have to travel 500 kilometres, don’t fixate on the entire distance. Focus on the next 100 or 150. Break it down.” This step-by-step mindset reduces anxiety and helps build momentum.

To support stress relief, he recommends Jalandhara Bandha, a yogic practice where the body is fully relaxed and thoughts are released. It promotes lightness, reduces tension, and supports mental clarity. These practices, when incorporated regularly, can transform the youth experience from one of pressure to one of purpose.

India at a Cultural Crossroads

According to him, the core issue facing modern India isn’t that we’ve followed the West, it’s that we’ve done so without discernment. “If we had adopted their culture with understanding, this wouldn’t be a problem. The lack of intellectual reflection is the real issue,” he explains.

Today, he believes India stands at a pivotal moment: either continue down a path of blind imitation and burnout, or thoughtfully integrate progress with traditional wisdom. The choice, he says, must be conscious.

A Call to Reflect and Reclaim

Mr. Sanjeev Kwatra’s message is a profound yet practical appeal, not to reject growth, technology, or global influence, but to engage with them consciously and selectively. India’s youth, he says, must learn to balance ambition with inner peace, movement with stillness, and consumption with contentment.

“Small shifts in daily thought and practice can lead to deeply fulfilling lives. We don’t need to slow down—we need to wake up,” he concludes.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 23: Nisus Finance Services Co Limited (BSE- NISUS | 544296 | INE0DQN01013) one of India’s leading structured real estate credit fund managers, has announced an investment of ₹115 Cr. through its Real Estate Special Opportunities Fund-I (RESO-I) in Kumar Vibe Properties Pvt Ltd (KVPPL). KVPPL is a 50:50 joint venture between Kumar Properties and Infrastructure, led by Mr. Hitesh Jain, and Vibe Realty, led by Mr. Gopal Sarda.

The portfolio comprises a luxury residential project in Khar West(Mumbai), an upscale mixed-use project in Goregaon West (Mumbai), and a premium housing project in NIBM (Pune). The Khar and Goregaon projects are society redevelopment initiatives being undertaken under Regulation 33(7)(B) of the DCPR 2034, while the Pune project is being developed under the Unified DCPR applicable in Maharashtra (outside Mumbai). The collective topline for the three projects is over ₹ 1100 Cr., with a focus on established and emerging urban zones.

The Mumbai projects together have a development potential of ~1.6 lakh square feet of carpet area, and a revenue potential of ~ ₹ 400 cr. The NIBM (Pune) project is spread across 8 acres, and offers ~ 7.5 lac square feet of carpet area, featuring over 750 residential units and an expected sales value exceeding ~ ₹ 700 cr.

Strategic Significance of Redevelopment

Supported by DCPR 2034 incentives and faster approval timelines, society redevelopment is emerging as the most scalable and sustainable model for inner-city regeneration. This model aligns well with RESO-I’s investment philosophy of backing de-risked, cashflow-positive, and execution-ready real estate opportunities in key micro markets.

Hisar (Haryana) [India], July 22: In a groundbreaking step toward merging digital innovation with humanitarian service, India launched its first dedicated blood donation app, ‘Raktsetu,’ during a record-setting blood donation drive — Raktdan Utsav 2025 — held at Maharaja Agrasen Bhawan, Hisar.

The event was inaugurated by Astro Parduman, a globally respected spiritual leader, astrologer, and healer, whose presence elevated the camp into a spiritual mission. Over 200 units of blood were collected by noon, with hundreds more expected before the close of the day.

Speaking at the launch, Astro Parduman Ji said,
