    July 18: 1) What prompted you to start a delivery company?

    During the pandemic, it was very difficult to get things done. On one occasion, when my daughter’s spectacles broke, and we had to get them fixed, I wished there was someone who could drop and get them back from the shop. Another incident was when I wanted to send my friend food since her family had just recovered from covid but were still weak and craved homemade food. While talking to my friends and neighbours, I realised everyone had the same struggle. This was when I decided to take the initiative to solve the issue. And thus Delivery Pigeon came to be! I envisioned a company which would be a helping hand for everyone.

    2) As a woman, what challenges did you have to overcome at the beginning of your journey? How supporting has your family been?

    Initially, everyone refused to take me seriously. No one believed I could start such a venture which is so heavily dependent on technology. Even some providers and business partners seemed to ignore my words. It was very discouraging at the start especially given the fact I was not starting this initiative as a profitable business but as something which was a necessity then. My family, thankfully, was very supportive of me. They helped me every step of the way. My husband and daughter helped me in managing the operations as well as advising me on the technological aspects. My son was also very enthusiastic about giving ideas and helping me improve our services.

    3) What sets delivery pigeon apart from the competition?

    One of the major factors that set apart delivery pigeon from its competitors is the fact that we are a purely local and Kolkata-based company, unlike the other companies that are either foreign organisations or big unicorns.     6) Do you have size and quantity limits?

    Yes. We carry up to 16 kgs for a single order. All our deliveries are carried out by either bike or scooty, so the parcel to be delivered must be appropriate to be able to be carried on the two-wheelers.

We divide the site into 16 zones, and each of them has different attributes. When we divided the 16 zones, one zone is 22.5 degrees which the naked eye won’t understand, so for that, we make layouts of 5 different times and make you understand the disbalance, we visit the place then, and after finding the exact problem, we give you the solution.     3. How many types of Vaastu are there?

    Vaastu is the only one which comes from Vedas, but then a lot of knowledgeable people have discovered and divided Vaastu into different types. Our Vaastu is completely solution-based. When I do Vaastu, I add numerology and graphology to it. I have done an advanced course in graphology from Canada, which is one of the world’s top graphology institutes. We do correction of your signature and handwriting, which helps you in getting positive results fast and easily.

     

    5. What is Graphology? Could you please elaborate on it.?

    Graphology is a very important concept; it is handwriting analysis. When you write something, the brain controls it. So, if you think about it, it’s your brain which is sending you signals, which then convert into your writing. You can say that this is “brain-writing” or an X-ray of your brain. To give you an example, kids, people say that “this kid is just like his dad” or “this kid is just like his mom” or “this kid reflects someone else’s personality” why do you think it happens? A kid who learns a letter from his mother, her characteristics and qualities associated with that letter comes to him. A kid who learns his letters from his dad, his characteristics associated with those letters reflect on him. Sometimes when he learns his letters from a teacher, her characteristics associated with those letters come to him. So, with handwriting, we do kid’s career counselling and even employee career management. If you show me an employee’s handwriting, I can tell you which line will be good for him, if he is a procrastinator, if he is a liar, if he is punctual and a lot of other details.

    A special fact about graphology is that if you hand write 1 page daily, then I can guarantee that you will never have any problems related to memory loss or any kind of brain-related problems.     Surat: TiE Surat organised an interactive session on 4th July 2022 for the city’s women entrepreneurs interested in participating in “TiE Women Global Pitch Competition 2022”. The applicants for the competition were given the opportunity to talk about their startup, followed by a Q&A by the jury members. The Jury members consisted of TiE Surat’s Charter Members – Mr. Puneet Mittal, Mr. Ritesh Saraf and Ms. Surbhi Saxena Madhwani. The event was moderated by Ms. Hetal Soni.
