June 4: Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey will inaugurate the Green Urja Conclave 2022 and Green Globe Awards ceremony at IIT Delhi on World Environment Day, on June 5. The Union Minister will also honour the individuals and institutions working towards environment protection and green energy.

The Green Urja Conclave 2022 will be organised by Confederation of Renewable Energy Service Professionals and Industries (CRESPAI) in association with IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow and Hansraj College, University of Delhi.

Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Chaubey will also share his valuable insights at the Green Urja Conclave on India’s Global Journey towards Carbon Neutrality and the Government Policy to reduce carbon footprint and Global Warming.

Bollywood actor Darshan Kumar, known for his roles in films like Mary Kom and The Kashmir Files, will also grace the event and have Special Dialogue “Mass Adoption of EV: Role of Civil Society, Financial Bodies and Corporate Institutions” in a special session with CA Sudhir Kumar Dash, President, CRESPAI.

CRESPAI is a Delhi based non-governmental body working to promote the use of clean energy and the cause of environment to mitigate the challenges of climate change. It aims to create a knowledge base and online platform to support the Industries, Professional, NGOs and other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.

“We all are aware that climate change is a reality and it demands immediate action from all the stakeholders from local to Central government bodies and international organisations. Both the public and private sector institutions will have to share the responsibility towards mitigating the impact of climate change. For sustainable development policy makers, industries and civil society organisationsmust come together. CRESPAI is working to promote clean energy and green environment by providing a platform for all stakeholders,” says CA Sudhir Kumar Dash, President, CRESPAI.

The first edition of the Green Urja Conclave was held at IIT Delhilast year. The cyclists, who completed 2200km expedition Bhubaneswar to Delhi, were conferred the Green Globe Award 2017.

The second edition of the Bundelkhand Literature Festival will be held in October – Primex News Network

New Delhi (India), June 3: The annual Bundelkhand Literature Festival is scheduled for October this year. The upcoming festival aims to provide a platform for regional artists, literature, and farmers. The Association of Bundelkhand with the Indian history and heritage can be traced back to the 8th century. The region has gifted many prominent names to the Indian historical honour. The region is also known for preserving Indian culture and traditions for many centuries. From Jhansi and Orchha to Agra and Mathura, it gives glimpses of ancient Indian cultural, architectural, artistic, and royal abundance. The upcoming Bundelkhand Literature Festival, which is expected to be held in October 2022, strives to spotlight the region’s rich heritage and showcase the work of artists and artisans of the region. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak are expected to attend the event. The final dates and venue of the event are yet to be disclosed.

Pratap Raj initiated the concept of the Bundelkhand Literature Festival. A native of Lalitpur district that comes under the region has researched its historic, spiritual and cultural characteristics. After realizing its importance in Indian history, Pratap Raj decided to conserve it and pass it to the next generation. The festival provides a common platform where established and budding litterateurs can collectively discuss social, fundamental, and research-specific subjects.

The festival also hosts a farmers’-meet to focus on different agricultural issues faced by the farmers of the region and introduce them to new advancements in the agro-industry, technology and policies. This is an attempt to solve the modern agricultural problems the farmers face.

The October event will be the second edition of the festival. The festival was launched in 2020 and was a 3-day event attended by the leading names from literature, art, and media personalities. The luminaries who attended the festival last year included Metraiyee Pushpa, Padmashree Kailash Madbaiya, Richa Aniruddh, Anikta Jain, Naveen Chaudhary, Aazam Quadri, Prahlad Agrawal, Indrajeet Singh, Dinesh Shankar Shailendra, Indiara Dangi, Kuldeep Raghav, Geet Chaturvedi, Vivek Mishra, Raja Bundela, Sushmita Mukherjee, Dr, Sharad Singh, Dr. Pankaj Chaturvedi and Deepak Dua. A special Agriculture Awareness fellowship was organized during the festival in association with the state agriculture department.

Pratap Raj says, “The Indian society is standing on the cusp of change. Our efforts through the festival are to inspire youth to shoulder the responsibility of preserving the heritage in the form of literature, art, and culture. This was initiated with the sole aim to bring the brilliance of intellectuals, artists, and writers under one roof and to discuss various social issues, development prospects, and future options.”

The festival founder-director Pratap Raj is a noted litterateur, social activist, and philanthropist from Bundelkhand. His humanitarian and research work in the Bundelkhand region is highly recognized. He has been proactively working in the region for society and farmers. He has also developed an Agro Mart for the region’s farmers to provide them with a single facility where they get the resolution of the maximum problems.

Children Cannot Live With Covid-19 and Other Mysterious Diseases – Primex News Network

June 3: Covid-19 or Post Covid has been a struggling task for everyone, and the rise of some mysterious diseases like monkeypox, hepatitis and tomato flu, is a serious threat to the lives of our children. Children have only stepped out of the house, and these diseases are a real danger to their lives. Some experts say that Covid-19 can be a cause of these diseases, and controlling Covid-19 might be a good control for these diseases.

Mysterious Hepatitis: WHO and US officials have sent a nationwide alert to be on the lookout for symptoms of Hepatitis in children possibly linked with Covid-19 or cold virus. The cases are still low, but they are in the children. Hepatitis or liver inflammation is relatively uncommon in youngsters. However, over 100 cases of acute hepatitis in apparently healthy youngsters have been documented in 25 states and territories in recent months. In addition, at least another 100 cases have been reported in 19 additional countries. According to CDC, while most children recover entirely from hepatitis, 14% of cases in the US required a liver transplant, and five children died. WHO said that the prime suspect was an adenovirus with a Covid-19 infection.

“We observed a peculiar rise in hepatitis cases. Usually, the beginning of the monsoon marks a rise in hepatitis cases. Last year (2021), we started to see this in April or summer in covid positive children who were part of the follow-up. Most of them in the face had recovered from their covid,” said Sumit Ramat, Associate Professor, Microbiology, the Bundelkhand Medical College, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Tomato Flu or Tomato Fever: Tomato flu recurs in Kerala after a surge of Covid-19 cases. The specific cause of tomato flu, unique to Kerala, is unknown. Apart from the rash, most symptoms-high fever, body aches, joint pain, and nausea are almost identical to those of dengue and chikungunya. During the disease’s 2007 outbreak, there was speculation that it resulted from the two. “It’s not a life-threatening condition, but it is communicable and can move from person to person,” explains Dr. Subhash Chandra, assistant professor of internal medicine at Amrita Hospital in Kochi. “The true modalities of infection dissemination are currently under investigation.” Tomato flu isn’t lethal, but it also doesn’t have a treatment.

Many Indian states like Kerala and Madhya Pradesh report cases of tomato flu and hepatitis in children, raising the idea of “severity”.

Monkeypox: Health experts are increasingly concerned about the origins of a new outbreak in early May in the nation outside of Central and West Africa. Since May 13, at least 257 cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in 23 countries where the virus is not endemic- mostly in Europe and North America- and 120 are suspected. Of those infections, 14 are confirmed or suspected across 8 states in the United States. Health officials, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States and the Health Security Agency in the United Kingdom, claimed that children are susceptible to these diseases putting the country’s future in danger.

We need to realize the severity of these mysterious diseases. The cause of these diseases can be Covid-19, so government should not follow the UK or US protocols regarding Covid-19. Preventive measures must be implemented to protect our children as well as ourselves.

Avani Institute of Design Inaugurates the SPICMACAY Chapter – Primex News Network

New Delhi (India), June 3: Avani Institute of Design inaugurated its SPICMACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) chapter in Kozhikode, Kerala. The chapter envisions itself growing into a hub for curating music, crafts, and performance by renowned artists from across the country to enrich not only students but also the entire town and neighbouring communities. It envisions a holistic development of the community through arts and is formed by a group of students, faculty, and administrators at the Avani Institute of Design.

Speaking at the inauguration Ar. Tony Joseph, Principal of Avani Institute of Design said, “As an institution for excellence in design education, Avani Institute of Design appreciates and understands the essential role that arts and crafts play in the promotion of culture and building communities. It believes that such exposure offered to the community of design students, professionals and experts offer a tremendous opportunity to reflect on the human condition and thus offer design as a practice and solution. To this cause, the chapter of SPICMACAY, a nonpolitical body that recognizes the various art forms and artists all over India, has been initiated at the institute from May 2022”.

The inaugural session saw the presence of Ar. Marina Tabassum, Ar. Tony Joseph, Ar. Brijesh Shaijal, Ar. Nimisha Hakkim, and Mr. Unni Warrier along with students, faculty, and staff at Avani. A mesmerizing Kathakali performance was conceived on the tale ‘Keechakavadham’ and was performed by veteran artists of Kottakkal Kathakali Sangham. As a prelude to the performance, an interactive lecture demonstration by, YSNA Awardee, Kottakkal Sri Unnikrishnan, threw open the mystical world of Kathakali to the audience.

This was followed by ‘Tholpaavakoothu ‘- a traditional art form of shadow puppetry, on the tale ‘Sitekalyanam’ was performed. The lecture-demonstration for this session was conducted by Padmasri Ramachandra Pulavar, who is a Padmasree awardee and an acclaimed puppeteer.

Avani Institute of Design is affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by Council of Architecture (COA). The Institute has a very hands-on Advisory Council consisting of some of the best national and international architectural, design and art practitioners and educators.
