  • Fandawm Launches A Music Label With The Release Of The Romantic Single Kamaal Kare Tu

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 24: The popular short video production startup Fandawm has launched a new music label Fandawm Music Originals, releasing its first music video single Kamaal Kare Tu, with a theme of love and betrayal. Udit Saxena has crooned and composed the song, and debutant AJ Mahin penned the lyrics. The magnificently picturised video features a magic couple Faizal Siddiqui and Rubyynna, short video influencers, and sensational heartthrob Rizwan Khan (Rizxtar). The song has crossed over 1 Million views on YouTube since its launch in the first two days. The song’s teaser, released last week, was also an instant hit among the young audience and generated over 2 lakh views in the first two days on YouTube and 1 Million views on Instagram.

    Beautifully shot across rustic yet contemporary backdrops with rich cultural vintage history, each frame of the song elaborates scenic and lush settings, thus adding a dash of vintage colours and a contemporary feel to the romantic scenes. Mukul Verma directed the video of the song, and production operations were done by Ankur Drabu. With Udit’s heart-touching voice, catchy and hummable lyrics from AJ Mahin, and an intriguing dark thriller video storyline, the song is set to top the charts and take over the short video creations on Reels, Moj, and MX TakaTak.

    Under the repertoire of Fandawm Music Originals, the startup plans to produce over 25 music video singles in the next year and distribute them worldwide across various audio and video apps, including YouTube, Instagram, Gaana, JioSaavn, Spotify, and Amazon Music. The cast, Faizal Siddiqui and Rizwan Khan, both are immensely celebrated creators since their TikTok days; however, they are yet to establish themselves in the acting world. Rubyynna, the lead actress of the music video, came from a humble village background in Uttar Pradesh and relocated to Mumbai around a year back. Since then, Rubyynna’s social media growth has been phenomenal, and she has quickly jumped into the mainstream post her launch by Fandawm Music Originals. “Every influencer’s dream is to act in Music Videos to become a big star.   • AIIEA Conveys Its Appreciation to Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal For the Recent Interactive Session

    Mumbai, August 24: The All India Importers’ and Exporters’ Association (AIIEA)  expresses its appreciation to the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, for conducting a physical, face to face interactive session on 20th August 2021 with various Export Promotion Councils, Commodity Boards and authorities to discuss measures for enhancing and increasing exports. The exporters’ councils have thanked the Minister for introducing RoDTEP and RoSCTL schemes while requesting the Minister to increase the rates announced in these schemes and extend the benefit to other sectors. They also sought, inter alia, the Minister’s intervention in addressing issues of the recent oppressive rise in ocean freights and shortage of shipping containers. The Minister, in his address, has made it clear that RoDTEP and RoSCTL schemes were not incentives but are rebates and remissions of duties and taxes paid by them and hence are WTO compliant schemes. He noted exporters’ concerns while lauding the Indian exporters for living up to the name of being trusted partners in the world trade despite many hurdles and challenges posed by the Covid-19. Mr. Goyal appreciated the confidence and determination expressed by export promotion councils and commodity boards to meet their assigned export targets. He also congratulated them for putting India well on the track towards achieving the current year’s merchandise export target of $ 400 billion set by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The Minister also congratulated the service sector for their outstanding contribution to the growth of India’s exports. He desired that the world-class standards achieved by the pharma sector be emulated by other sectors also.

    Mr. B. Timothy, Vice President of AIIEA, commended the Minister for the progress made to sign harvest agreements to be followed by FTAs with Australia, UK, Canada, EU and GCC countries.

  • The All India Importers and Exporters Association (AIIEA) welcomes RoDTEP and RoSCTL schemes of Ministry of Commerce & Industry

    Mumbai, August 23: The incentive schemes of RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) and the RoSCTL (Rebate of  State and Central Taxes and Levies) introduced by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry are a big shot in the arm for the present and prospective exporters.

    According to Mr. B. Timothy, Vice President of AIIEA, the Rs.12,454 Cr RoDTEP and Rs. 8,555 Cr. RoSCTL schemes covering 95% of tariff lines and two other schemes in the pipeline will provide much-needed relief to exporters and will go a long way in boosting exports and tapping new export markets.

  • Need For Real Single-Window Clearance: Hon’ble Murugesh Nirani

    Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 20: Shri. Murugesh R Nirani, Honourable Minister for Large and Medium Industries, Government of Karnataka, on Thursday, August 19, 2021 evening said that there is a need for a real and one-time single-window clearance for businesses. He added he knows the pain of industry, which has to deal currently with multiple approvals for the start of operations even after obtaining a single-window clearance from authorities.

    Shri Nirani, the Chief Guest at the 44th Annual General Meeting of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), stated that he would soon meet industry bodies to seek suggestions to improve its functioning. He also complimented BCIC for acting as the brand ambassador of Karnataka and supporting the Government on various matters during the challenging Covid-19 pandemic times.  Further, the Honourable Minister responded positively to the request of BCIC’s Incoming President K.R.Sekar’s suggestion of partnering with BCIC on the proposed Global Investor Summit. The Minister welcomed the initiative of BCIC opening its office in Tokyo and expressed hope of its reach in other parts of Karnataka in the near future and its presence in Mysore and Dharwad.

    The Minister also said he is aware of the high power tariff levied on industries that need to be addressed to compete with neighbouring countries.

    He added that ‘Walk to Work’ is needed to reduce congestion in Bengaluru. Towards that end, going forward, 15% of space in industrial parks would be reserved for industrial, residential townships.

    BCIC witnessed a change of guard on Thursday afternoon as Mr KR Sekar, Partner, Deloitte Haskins and Sells LLP, took over as President of the Chamber. Dr L Ravindran, who was Vice President of the Chamber in 2020-21, will now be the Senior Vice President for 2021-22.

    Later, on Thursday, while addressing BCIC’s 44th AGM, the Chamber’s outgoing President Mr T R Parasuraman, President & Whole Time Director, Toyota Industries Engine India Pvt Ltd, said that the senior office bearers had set the theme for the year as “Namma Karnataka – The Gateway to Future India”. He added that this was done as the Chamber wants to make Karnataka the destination for global investors.

    He also stated that BCIC had represented the industry’s voice to the Central and State governments and had received timely support, especially from Former Karnataka Chief Minister Shri B S Yediyurappa’s Government.

    In his welcome address at the AGM, Mr K R Sekar said, “BCIC has been at the forefront of working with the Government of Karnataka and would continue co-operating with the State government in all its policies. Further, K.R.Sekar also requested the Honourable Minister to consider engaging BCIC as a partner for the proposed Global Investment Summit as BCIC has a strong team and has both Global Indian and MNCs as their members. K.R. Sekar also assured the Minister that BCIC would work with leading Industries and other chambers of commerce to support the Government of Karnataka on “Ease of doing business.”

    Mr Jaishankar, Chairman and Managing Director, Brigade Enterprises Ltd., one of the Special Guests of Honour at the AGM, said that Karnataka is facing competition from neighbouring states, especially Telangana, to retain its ‘I.T. capital’ tag. He added that the infrastructure in Bengaluru also needs to be improved in the coming years to keep pace with the city’s growing population.

    Mr Soumitra Bhattacharya, Managing Director, Bosch Limited and President of the Bosch Group in India, another Special Guest of Honour at the AGM, said Karnataka needs to retain its tag as ‘Silicon Valley of the world for start-ups. He pointed out that though the State is the third-largest recipient of FDI equity inflow into India, it has slipped alarmingly in the country’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rankings.

    According to him, Karnataka should focus on:

    1. a) Being in the top 5 states in ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rankings;

    (b) Ensuring single-window clearance is just that and not multiple single windows;

    (c) Clearances for existing companies should be time-bound and measurable,

    (d) Focus on vocational training for youth.
