New Delhi, Aug 19: Unhappy with the 10th and 12th results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), private schools and students staged a dharna on Wednesday at the CBSE headquarters in Preet Vihar, Delhi. This demonstration was held under the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA). NISA has demanded that CBSE take responsibility for this result drawn under the substandard system so that tomorrow the students do not curse the schools.
More than 150 school owners from various states and all the students of Delhi participated in this demonstration. NISA National President Kulbhushan Sharma said that there is a lot of anger among teachers, students, and parents regarding the tabulation formula made for preparing CBSEs 10th and 12th class results. Due to this result, the problems of the school administration and school operators have increased. Students and their parents are asking questions about their future and career. Therefore, NISA has demanded from CBSE that they should take full responsibility for their board results themselves.
All the school owners and students demonstrated this demand on Wednesday at the CBSE Headquarters in Preet Vihar by holding a symbolic protest. Many students say that this result declared through CBSE has ruined both their future and career. Due to this, now neither the school will run, nor the students will be saved. Therefore, CBSE will have to take full responsibility for this poor result itself.
According to NISA President Kulbhushan Sharma, under the tabulation policy of CBSE, the scope of giving numbers to the children of schools has been limited, and there is no such restriction in the state board. Under which the number of children is high in the state board, and the number of middle and low-grade children who appeared in the CBSE examination has remained low, which is a gross injustice to these children and their parents. NISA also raised its voice for the safety of teachers. Also demanded the representation of private schools from all over the country in the CBSE governing body.
Mr. Bahadur Ali, Chairman, All India Poultry Breeders Association
Poultry breeders were facing an acute shortage of soya meant to feed livestock for various reasons.
New Delhi [India], August 19: The All India Poultry Breeders Association (AIPBA) has welcomed the Union government’s decision to accept its request to import 15 lakh tonnes of de-oiled soya meal for livestock feed.
Poultry breeders were facing an acute shortage of meal availability to feed the livestock due to poor harvest and high prices due to speculative trading in commodities markets. The AIPBA had on August 6 written to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, demanding import of 15 lakh tonnes of de-oiled soya cake /meal solvent extracted (non-food) from GM soya seed through solvent extraction for the manufacture of animal feed.
“The whole poultry industry was facing a major crisis due to shortage of soya meant to feed livestock. We had requested the government to allow the import of 15 lakh tonnes of de-oiled soap meal, and we are extremely thankful to the authorities for addressing and resolving the issue on an urgent basis,” said AIPBA Chairman Bahadur Ali.
In a letter to AIPBA, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying said it held consultations with the Environment Ministry, Commerce Ministry, Director General of Foreign Trade, Department of Revenue, and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India over the matter.
The Environment Ministry conveyed to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying that it has no objection to importing soya cake or meal from the environmental angle as these products do not contain any living modified organism.
The FSSAI also conveyed that non-food, i.e., not consumed by humans, is not within its ambit, and therefore it does not regulate animal feed. FSSAI said the Department could decide on the import of animal feed, thus paving the way for the import of soya de-oiled cake.
India had enough supplies of soya meal earlier and was not required to import any. However, the situation where domestic prices of soya meals are at par or even higher than soyabean has forced poultry breeders to look at importing soya meals.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 19: The popular music composer duo Javed-Mohsin is back with the year’s much anticipated musical anthem Kabhii Tumhhe from the recently released film Shershaah. The song is featured on the magnetic couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani.
Talking about the process, elated composer duo Javed-Mohsin shares, “We didn’t go through any particular process to compose it; the melody was an instinctive creation. We were in Juhu, and the music supervisor at Dharma Productions, Mr. Azeem Dayani, called us and wanted to meet us. He noticed us humming a hook line of Kabhii Tumhhe and told us that he had locked this for a film called Shershaah that stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. It was his faith in us. The brief which came to us was to keep it as simple as possible yet deep. We dubbed the song with Darshan Raval, a dear friend of ours. Everyone at Dharma loved the song so much that they decided to record the female version of the song.”
Kabhii Tumhhe has been shot by Mr. Karan Johar (especially by himself). Interestingly, it’s his favourite soundtrack from the album; hence he shot this song personally. Sung by talented Darshan Raval (male version) and Palak Muchhal (female version), the song is programmed by Aditya Dev, mixed and mastered by Eric Pillai. The music supervisor is Azeem Dayani and penned by Rashmi Virag.
Sharing more on the challenges, the duo says, “It wasn’t that challenging as we believe that melody is a god’s gift. There are times when we realise that a good melody strikes while we are just jamming casually. Every song or melody has its fate in a film. Kabhii Tumhhe was made to be in Shershaah. People really love the song since they have heard the song in an important scene of the film. After Pal from Jalebi, we are getting so much appreciation for this song. The whole Shershaah team is delighted and proud.”
“We would like to give the biggest credit to Rashmi Virag sir, who has written the song. We feel that for a melody like this, it could haven’t got better words. It strikes the right emotion in the film. Darshan and Palak are talented singers, and they have really worked hard on it. Many live instruments were recorded in it like violins, strings, chorus, piano, guitars etc. Even we have introduced a special Shillong chamber choir in the song for the first time in Bollywood,” the duo concludes.
Earlier, Javed-Mohsin had composed record-breaking songs such as Ding Ding from Munna Michael, Pal from Jalebi and the only original song from Coolie No. 1 remake, Teri Bhabhi Khadi Hai and the entire album of Suraj Par Mangal Bhari.
