    Squadron Leader Jayasimha, the President of World Memory Sports Council for India had conducted this Memory Championship which had a massive response from all the Memory athletes from India.

    It was a great moment in the Memory chapter of India as Squadron Leader Jayasimha had successfully conducted the 13th Indian Memory Championship 2022 on 2nd October, Sunday at Hotel Minerva Grand, Secunderabad.

    More than 150 Memory athletes, youngest to oldest from all over India have participated in the competition.

    Building Blocks Group, the top Real estate & Infrastructure company, headed by CEO Sri Mallikarjun sir, based out of Hyderabad had sponsored the BBG Bangaru Thalli Memory Awards.

    The BBG Foundation aims at empowering and aiding 4 million girl children in India in the field of Education and helping them to stand on their own feet.

    An event to promote women in the entrepreneurship world 

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 7: MetKonnect in association with Touchwood Incubation and Innovation Platform for Startups and QWEEN Network wrapped up their women entrepreneurship event: “Emerging Women Entrepreneurs: Exploring the New Era of Women in Business”. This event was powered by GDCC Blockchain and created in association with Tally and Aditya Birla Sun life Insurance. Their collaboration resulted in a day filled with personalities speaking, discussing, and empowering women and their contributions.

    The event was held on 2nd October 2022, at The Club-Andheri, Mumbai, and supported by 1st India News, and co-sponsored by Aditya Birla Group and Tally. It saw the participation of start-ups, investors, prominent personalities, stars, and more.

    The event began with the ritual of lighting and proceeded with energetic keynote speeches by dynamic speakers. Neha Shah, Founder of QWEEN was the first keynote speaker. This was proceeded by Dr. Srinivasan .R Iyengar, who grabbed the crowd’s attention and laid emphasis on ‘Act Local, Compete Global’. Mrs. Nidarshana Gowani Trustee Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust & Pioneer for Kamala Rising Star and Kamala Power Women, and inspirational talk by our Guest Of Honour Smt. Sunanda Tai Pawar, Social Activist Baramati also weighed in their thoughts.

    Startup Pitches, Investors, and Panel Discussion

    The event then moved on to the pitches by startups that had a woman in their core team. The startups included Road Athena, Aidbees, Faiyda, (NAME), Silver Traq, Bar Brew Beverages, Ice Buy, Worthy Buddies, ELIXIR and Talented Hippo. These pitches added value to the event and also elaborated on how their innovations are contributing to society.

    These pitches were presented in front of investors from, 100X.VC, MENTOR X, Ah! Ventures, Fundenable, Punjab Angels Network, Indian Healthcare Angels, Encubay,  Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs, HEM Angels Investor Network and other angel investors. The question and answer session after every pitch gave the start-ups insight on how they can improve their offerings and better cater to their audience.

    A panel discussion on the was held and witnessed the participation of Mrs. Naina Parekh, Mrs. Neeti Goel, Mrs. Reema Sanghvi which was moderated by our dynamic lady Mrs Namrata Thakker,. This discussion was focused on businesses and how women move forward step by step in their corporate journey. It was an extremely important discussion owing to the fact that more and more women are becoming a part of the business world.

    This was followed by a lecture by Financial Freedom for Women by Alpa Shah and Neelratna Chowbal from Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance. They explained how one should plan and allocate their finances to have a secure and stress-free financial life.

    Awards to Appreciate Everyone’s Achievements and Efforts

    Hon. Smt. Poonam Mahajan, Member of the Lok Sabha, joined the event as the Chief Guest and addressed the crowd by talking about what she has learned being a woman in the world of politics. She also spoke about how women have struggled for basic rights and have come a long way. All of us as a society should thrive to give them the opportunities that they deserve.

    Mrs. Sunanda Tai Pawar was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award”. Reshma Singh received the “Creative Startup of the Year” award, Dr. Sujata Barve, won the “Woman Innovator of the Year” title, and Shruti Jain was awarded “Professional Entrepreneur of the Year”. Suvarna Kothawade won the “Social Activist of the Year” award. Jyoti Kyamsariya, was the “Most Successful Startup of the Year”, Rachna Nisha was the “Young Women Entrepreneur of the Year”, and Deepika Saini was the “Achiever of the Year”. Sapna Gupta was titled the “Creative Entrepreneur of the Year”, and Sheetal Raj was titled the “Best Healer of the Year” Amrita Khurana (Women Icon of the year (Maharashtra) , Ms. Shaifali,  Soni Star Of the year, Rtn. Alpa Shah- Educationist Of the Year, Maitri Bheda – Youth Excellence Award, Vinita Vihitra- Women Entrepreneurs Of The Year.

    Prominent celebrities were also felicitated. Shama Sikander won the title “Excellence in Mental Health Empowerment”, Rashami Desai won the “Woman Icon of the Year”, Krishna Shroff was awarded the “Woman Personality of the Year”, and Donal Bisht, “Fashion Icon of the Year”. Yogen Shah, Parvinder D Chawla, Ashish Tiwari, Gul Banu Khan, and Varinder T Chawla were appreciated as the “Honor of the Event, Maharashtra’s Icon”. Ganesh Gokhale and Shubh Bansal, Founders of TIIPS Incubation, and Neha Shah, Founder of QWEEN were also appreciated for organizing this power-packed event.

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 6: More than 7 lakh people visited Mumbai’s largest Durga Puja Pandal at North Bombay Sarbajanin Durga Puja at Juhu during the four day of festivity. The star studded Durga Puja witnessed Bollywood celebrities to industrialists and businessmen walking up the queue for Darshan of Maa Durga.
    In order to maintain the best of healthcare facility at the venue and attend any medical emergency a fully equipped critical care ambulance was provided by CSR initiative of Goldiam International in memory of Shri Manhar Kumar Bhansali.
    Ajeenkya D Y Patil Healthcare that was the hospital partner for the event had deployed 24*7 clinical staff. The ambulance team along with the medical team worked tirelessly for 4 days attending patients on site and also dropping them to nearby hospitals in some cases of injury and elderly care. Krsnaa Diagnostic has also facilitated blood sample collection at the stall that has been put at the venue in collaboration with Ajeenkya D Y Patil Healthcare.

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 6: The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, also known globally as TEXPROCIL and the first Export Promotion Council set up in independent India in 1954, celebrated its 68th Foundation Day by organising a commemorative function at its head office in Mumbai on 4th October, 2022..

    Activities at the foundation day included Seminars and Presentations on latest topics like “Sustainability, Circularity and Traceability” held in hybrid format during which speakers from India as well as overseas participated.

    The newly elected Chairman of TEXPROCIL, Shri Sunil Patwari said, “The Council was the first to be set up in India and it is a proud moment for all of us at TEXPROCIL to be celebrating this milestone. TEXPROCIL is the international face of Indian cotton textiles and continues to create vibrant platforms for facilitating Indian exports worldwide”.

    In the forenoon session, TEXPROCIL released its new brochure highlighting the latest product offerings in cotton textile products that conform to sustainability and circularity norms as per international standards.

    Shri Patwari said, “The traceability of cotton fibre is now an essential and mandatory parameter for export of value added cotton textile products to developed markets”. In this backdrop, the Council has already launched the General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) Programme along with Control Union for the Traceability of Indian Farm Cotton. More than 50 companies have already registered as members of this programme and GCC certificates are currently being issued to them.

    During the foundation day celebrations, a new logo for the GCC Programme was also launched by Smt. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner. Shri Binay Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, Control Union made a brief presentation in virtual mode on the Traceability Protocol of Indian Farm Cotton.

    The Seminar in the afternoon session was inaugurated by Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles with Smt. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner and Mr Suresh Kotak, Chairman Textile Advisory Group (TAG) as Guests of Honour.

    Dr K V Srinivasan, Managing Director, Premier Mills Pvt Ltd; and Vice President of International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), Zurich put the session in context with his introductory remarks. Dr. Christian Schindler, Director General, ITMF gave an overview of developments in the Textile Industry which was then followed by a presentation on “Traceability of Indian Cotton” by Mr. K. K. Lalpuria, Executive Director & CEO, Indo Count Industries Ltd.

    Prof. Thomas Gries, ITA Aachen, Germany highlighted the need for digitisation in today’s world through his talk on “Next generation textile industry = Sustainability + digitalization + individual models” and Mr. Marcelo Duarte, Director of International Relations, ABRAPA, Brazil spoke on Sustainability as a mainstream strategy in the case of cotton production in Brazil. The Knowledge Session was moderated by Dr Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director, TEXPROCIL. 

    The valedictory address was given by Smt. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner and the day long sessions were aptly summarised by the Council’s immediate Past Chairman, Shri Manoj Patodia in his concluding remarks.

In a world of growing geopolitical friction, USI of India will gather partners and key stakeholders from all over the world, to discuss how future multilateral peace operations can remain relevant and play a positive role in addressing emerging peace and security challenges. This event is co-organised with the Challenges Forum International Secretariat, whose team has joined USI in Delhi, from Sweden. Around 100 participants from all over the world will unite for two days of constructive and fruitful elaborations, under the overarching theme of Future of Peace Operations.

    In the run-up to the UN Secretary-General’s New Agenda for Peace, the Challenges Annual Forum 2022 (CAF22) provides a unique opportunity to global partners, policymakers, scholars, practitioners, and civil society representatives to engage in high-level discussions as well as dialogue-driven sessions that aim at identifying effective solutions to UN peace operations.

    The flowing three sub-themes have been chosen for extensive deliberations:

    • Preventive Deployment in Diplomacy
    • Protecting the Protectors
    • Protection of Civilians in Peace Operation

    The Challenges Forum’s partners come from a wide variety of partners including major troop, police and financial contributing countries, including the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. It consists of over 50 government departments, organizations and institutions from 24 countries around the world. The Annual Forum is hosted by the Challenges Forum partners on a rotating basis.

    The Challenges Forum provides an impartial and informal platform for dialogue, to contribute to the enhancement of the international capability and capacities to plan, conduct and evaluate multilateral peace operations.
