December 29: A grand launch of production house “Visica Films” had been organized in Mumbai on 28th December 2021 followed by the press conference and announcement of the films which will be produced and released by the banner. C B Kulkarni is the Managing Director of Visica Films, and Charan Suvarna is the Director of Visica Films.

Starting with the announcement of the Saajan Chale Sasural 2, the sequel of 1996 Govinda, Karishma starrer  Blockbuster film Saajan Chale Sasural, Sarojini- Biopic of Sarojini Naidu, released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, an Experimental Hindi Film Hide & Seek, a Hindi OTT Film-Geeta Govinda, a Kannada-Hindi film Bhairava and Redrum. C B Kulkarni is also the founder of Caru OTT. Caru OTT has overcome many obstacles and has set the OTT media house to provide a new version of entertainment. Many web and movies which will be produced by Visica films will be released on Caru OTT.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 25: Over the last few years, music has enhanced and has become a significant part of one’s life. When we say music, there are many musical maestros whose works have proved to be pathbreaking. And one of India’s popular rock bands, Agnee has yet again mesmerized the audience with the release of the track ‘Maahi Ve’. While the heart-wrenching track has turned out to be a highly emotional ballad, it is the storytelling of the song that has captivated everyone’s attention. Helmed by promising director Gurjit Budwal, the music video was shot in Chandigarh.

Composed by Agnee and produced by the band’s lead guitarist Koco, the vocals of Mohan Kannan make this music video a masterpiece. While every creative professional has contributed immensely, it is the captain of the ship, Gurjit Budwal, who has delivered an intense story through this music video. Not just the tunes, but the music video has turned out to be a visual spectacle that makes it a compelling watch. The ballad conveys different emotions of love, sadness, anger and grief.

The director, while speaking about the project, stated that he was excited to shoot the music video ever since he heard the lyrics and music. “The song instantly resonated with me, and I was sure to deliver a quintessential story that has all the elements audience could relate to.”, said Gurjit.

Apart from this, the powerful song also got to hear the cinematic orchestral arrangement going in sync with the story of the video. It would not be wrong to say that Gurjit Budwal has moulded the music video and has given a cinematic visual experience with his top-notch direction skills. One of the users on the internet called the music video an old school track bringing memories of the 2000s. That’s what happens when powerful music and a strong storyline collide together.

On a parting note, director Gurjit Budwal is on cloud nine with the song getting much love from the audience. He said, “I am grateful that the track has a perfect blend of music and a story to tell. That’s the magic of music videos. It conveys a story in less than 10 minutes with melodious tunes in the backdrop. I would love to do more meaningful music videos in the time to come.” ‘Maahi Ve’ was released on December 10 on the official YouTube channel of Zee Music Company.

New Delhi (India), December 25: With the rise in OTT platforms, some regional cinema gems have successfully been able to shine, which otherwise wouldn’t have seen the light of the day.

One such gem is the Marathi suspense horror thriller BALI The Victim, released worldwide on 9th December 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. The film has been receiving accolades for its original premise, brilliant storyline & gripping screenplay.

Credit goes to its young creator & writer Swapnila Gupta, who marks her debut in the world of cinema with Bali. She says, “It’s heartening that both the audiences and critics have welcomed Bali with open arms. I sincerely feel supernatural/fantasy in India needs a new approach and a lot of encouragement. Bali is an original story, and it’s much more than just horror. It has a human story and genuine emotions.”

While Indian mainstream cinema keeps churning out formulaic remakes & mindless sequels over and over, Bali shows us how novel, creative, entertaining, yet socially relevant ideas can change the movie-going experience.

On this question, Swapnila smiles and tells us, “Believe it or not, in this era of globalization & social media, we are competing with the world cinema; it has been proven time and again that there’s no room for the same age-old hero-centric approach anymore. This is the era of the content & talent.”

She further adds that human emotions & moral values are universal, “and if we do it right, there’s no reason why the world wouldn’t be interested in our (Indian) original stories.” Through her maverick approach in the screenplay and the original story, BALI starring Swapnil Joshi has intrigued the audience with its gamut of emotions and immersive experience of suspense & thrills in the cover of supernatural/horror elements.

To develop these fresh, original ideas, Swapnila draws inspiration from her own life experiences and then treat these ideas with supernatural/fantasy elements to build the original stories. But why supernatural? Swapnila breaks into laughter and says, “Because supernatural offers me more room to say what I want to say.”

Swapnila Gupta is a multi-talented young writer who started her career as a Radio Jockey, working with Radio Mirchi, Radio City, followed by working as a Television Anchor & Emcee. After a brief stint in modelling, she has turned to writing.

Talks about future plans on Sultan Production’s golden jubilee

December 25: Late filmmaker Sultan Ahmed’s immense contribution to the film industry can never be put into bland words. His mastery in the craft, sheer passion and dedication in filmmaking, and the resilience to take Indian cinema to the front have been commendable. Carrying his golden legacy forward is his son – Ali Akbar Sultan. Predominantly working in Sultan Productions, he is a producer, entrepreneur and sports enthusiast.

Hunting for new content and designing creative elements that engage the audience more holistically is Ali Akbar’s prime focus now.  He has been predominantly cultivating the scope of art developing in Maharashtra and believes that art should dwell not only in studios and theatres but be intermingled in every sphere of a person’s life. Art should dwell in communities, in classrooms, in galleries, and on every street. He is thus investing to critically engage, analyze and experiment art into various spheres. With the presence of virtual and augmented reality, he feels that he can bring about and produce great work in the future.

Thus, he is currently working on new genres and trying to intermingle art and culture through a delphic medium as well. Talking about the production house’s upcoming works, he said, “Currently, under Sultan productions, we have been acquiring a few contents for film and web series. We are in the planning stage and shall announce the subjects soon. I have learned from my father Sultan Ahmed to never compromise on the story and content while working. Thus, now I am looking up to directors and writers more than the actors.” Sources reveal that the production house also has upcoming music videos lined up other than films and web series.

Ali Akbar Sultan Ahmed even added, “I would like to work with the artists of Sultan productions again and again. To name a few – Rekha, Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, and the list goes on. ” He also stated how he admires the work of these living legends and the inspiration they are to the youth of the country.

Finally, he concluded by saying that he is way left to reach the zenith. He has started the journey, and it would take time to acquire all the elements that are required to reach the top. So he is in the process of curating and grooving great content in the near future.

Code Name Abdul, starring Tanishaa Mukherjee in the lead role in her long-awaited return to the big screen, has everyone buzzing this week with its slick action that has everyone impressed. However, the film is receiving a fantastic response from audiences thanks to its new cast members, particularly Khatera Hakimi, whose passion has led her to work in Indian films.

Khatera Hakimi discovered her hidden talent of becoming an actress at a young age, influenced by her father’s love of Indian classical music and black and white cinema of the past. The role of a RAW agent is played by Khatera Hakimi in the film, and she has done an excellent job.

Khatera Hakimi co-stars in the film with promising newcomers Akku Kulhari and Ashok Chaudhary. “I was glad that I had with colleagues and peers who did not belong to the quintessential Hindi film industry,” she adds. It was sheer hard work and a few hours of gym time every day that propelled me to the next level of giving my all in the film and being physically prepared to perform stunts.”

Stunt training was also important, according to the actor. “I worked with my stunt coordinator to learn how to handle the gun, shoot, punch, and kick.” Every stunt is a meticulously choreographed sequence, and not being perfect wasn’t an option. It was all very new to me, and it was also very difficult. But that’s the fun of acting. You can sink your teeth into parts of the world that are completely foreign to you. In this case, it’s critical to understand the character’s psyche.”

December 23: Reach pro, in collaboration with Sunset Cinema Club, successfully organised a two-night open-air movie screening, taking into consideration the growing Popularity of Drive-in theatres. The blockbuster Pretty woman & Jab we Met was screened at their property, Reach 3 Roads, and created a beautiful celebratory atmosphere, where mall-goers enjoyed the vibrant vibe of the open-air movie screening. As the festive season uplifts the mood, people now prefer to spend more time outside with their friends and families. The open-air cinema activity drew over 200-300 people to witness the magic of watching movies beneath the skylight.

Talking about sharing screen space with actress Tanishaa Mukherji, the actor reveals, “I got the opportunity to drive the actress from New York to Philadelphia where we shot the film. Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 18: Love song “Pyar Ka Nasha”, featuring Swati Kothari and Susheel Kumar Ailani, is striking the right chords. The song, dubbed Romantic Song of the Year 2021, has been getting a very good response from the audience.

Released just over ten days back by Loose Motions 99 Music, Pyar Ka Nasha has had close around 9 Lakhs views on YouTube alone.

The song shows Susheel expressing his deep love for a girl without making Swati realise that he is actually talking about her. The young lover shares how he misses his love every moment and keeps dreaming about her. It is only when Susheel goes down on one knee and proposes to her with the words “I Love You” that Swati realises that she is the lucky girl.

Versatile singer Yasser Desai has lent his mesmerising voice to the love song, which was penned by Late Anwar Sager. Music for the song has been composed by music director Raju Sardar, while Bigyan Rai has directed the song, which is now streaming on all major music streaming platforms such as Wynk, JioSaavn, Spotify, Resso, Amazon, and Apple Music.
