Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 26: In Bollywood, soft thriller and elegant movie are rarely blended. Both of them are in Hey Kameeni, and the tension builds until the big reveal. It is well deserving of the praise from critics and the accolades it won at nine international film festivals.

Anjali Joshi and Mani Shankar have written a great piece of entertainment. It’s a humorous interpretation of a very serious social subtext. 

It’s a tale of millennial attitude and anguish in which social and gender conceptions are constantly at odds. “I made a film on a little girl confronting life—she doesn’t need villains to screw things up, she just needs to stop being afraid, get her act together, and find the ‘Kameeni’ inside,” says director Mani Shankar.

Hey Kameeni is a breath of fresh air, especially after the “Animal” and its strong misogynistic alpha Male posturing came so quickly. It is deserving of its many international honors.

While the discussion about nepotism rages on, this movie features a number of excellent newcomers in both the acting and musical departments.

Asheema Vardhan portrays a vibrant and flawless Gauri. You completely understand her. 

“Director Mani Shankar’s rigorous workshops and subtext analysis brought out the best in me,” said Asheema.

The portrayal of Kamini by debutante Drishika Chandar, who is kind but cunning, giving but obnoxious, is perfect.

This is the tale of Kamini, a young lady. She must hide her identity in order to live on the streets of a foreign city. 

She spends the night in the hospital waiting area in quest of protection.  

It also tells the tale of the close friendships that are formed along the road and how millennials are redefining morality. 

With a distinctive melody, “Dice,” a song by Japanese composer Ken Guma, who is making his Bollywood debut, is guaranteed to make its way onto many well-known playlists. You should definitely add the passionate “Dil Awara” and the poignant “Tu hai kahan” by singer-composer Rinki Sharma to your play list. 

Veterans Supriya Karnik and Avijit Dutt brilliantly portray their succinct but powerful characters.

The portrayal of Tashi by well-known modern dancer Somnath Hota is endearing. 

Somnath Hota, Bhuvan, Kela, Shubham Singh, and Adesh Srivastav leave their mark. 

Hey Kameeni will make you feel thoughtful and happy. “Wakt aane par aurat se bada koi mard nahin hota,” the movie further claims.

New Delhi (India), December 22: SCAFF Seven Colors Australian Film Festival was organized grandly and successfully from 26th November to 3rd December 2023 where Tushar Kumar was honored by the Mayor. This international film festival was organized to present a tribute to the memory of Pamela Chopra. Tushar Kumar has expressed his gratitude to the mayor and the audience for this honour.

It is noteworthy that more than 200 artists performed at the Seven Colors Australian Film Festival, more than 20 films from more than 24 cultures were screened. The inspiring journey of musical prodigy Khush Patel

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], December 20: In a world where passion is often the catalyst for extraordinary achievements, we find numerous examples of individuals excelling in diverse fields, driven by their dedication. One such individual is Khush Patel, an emerging music composer from Ahmedabad whose journey symbolises the heights passion can take one to.

Khush, 22, is the Founder and Music Director of Flipbeats Music, which has emerged as a hub for emerging artists by providing them a stage to showcase their skills and talents. Khush established the studio only in 2022, but he discovered his love for music when he started playing the keyboard at the age of ten.

His passion deepened after grade 10. Though only 16 at the time, Khush had decided to pursue a career in music. He travelled to Goa, Mumbai and Bangalore to explore into music production.

“I gained many insights into how the music production industry works. After I came back to work, I set up Flipbeats Music and started working from my room. I began by composing my own songs. Over time, I established a proper studio, which also started offering services such as recording, mixing and mastering, music production, background music, and more,” says Khush, who despite his tender age is a seasoned professional in the industry with an experience of more than six years.

Showcasing his commitment to supporting lesser-known artists, Khush started working with emerging artists, helping them gain recognition in the industry. He also launched a YouTube channel, collaborating with artists such as Ishrat Kalavant, Arif Kalavant, Parvez Kalavant, Sonia Soni, Shahejad Kureshi, and Juned Kalavant, just to name a few. The channel features over 30 songs, for which he has composed the music. 

“The studio and the channel have created a unique platform for artists who are looking for opportunities to showcase their talent. We have helped at least a dozen such artists gain recognition in the industry,” he says.

Khush, who also runs an academy which offers courses related to music production, has already left his mark by composing compelling background music for more than 30 short films. He has also recently composed the background score for two films.

Talking about his future plans, the musical prodigy shares, “My journey from a small room to owning a studio has been incredible. I believe that music has the power to connect people and tell stories, and I want to continue being a part of that journey. I aim to establish my own record label and post-production house.”
