February 7: A senior citizen, a wealthy couple Mr & Mrs Verma from Mumbai arrived in Surat upon hearing about Dr Subodh Kamble. Whilst Urethral bulking is significantly cheaper option and if needed it can be topped up through scarless surgery. The admission in the hospital is short. Patient does not require any tube in the bladder and becomes mobile same day. The urethral bulking surgery helps patient to control the urine leak in more natural way and without them having to do anything additional. There is no artificial closing and releasing that patient required to do and it gives them normal natural urination.

Around same time of Mrs Verma’s surgery, well known businessman but a desperate father of 17 years old boy from Dhule district arrived to Surat with dysfunctional Sphincter problems. The boy was having to use penile clamps and diaper to deal with continuous urine leak for 24 hours. He had his urine leaked in any position whether he was sitting idle, lying down, walking, running, jumping or doing any trivial activity. The boys was absolutely tired of using the penile clamps which was causing his penis to be disfigured. Diaper was giving him rash, skin irritation, superficial bruises and as filled up diaper was becoming heavy and bulky for him to walk around in at school or college.

The parents had consulted many Urologists around the country without any success. They were told that the leak was due to the damaged nerve and there is no solution for it. The boy would have to live life with the problems. Some doctor in Mumbai suggested Mitrofanoff procedure, where the urologist creates a new tube on a child’s belly through which a child can urinate (pee) by using a catheter (putting a small tube into the new tube). The new tube is made from the appendix. It connects the bladder to a small hole created in the belly button or in an area in the lower belly. This is done through opening the belly, dissecting the intestine and the appendix as well as bladder. This is no doubt too extreme and irreversible procedure. Besides the boy would have had to catheterise himself several times a day through the tube on his tummy to get the urine out but the primary problem of leaking urine wouldn’t have been sorted with this unless they closed the natural end completely and permanently. Needless to say, the family was not keen on this.

Someone in their business network in Mumbai recommended Dr Subodh Kamble’s name and the family travelled to Surat. February 4: It is said that small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises. This seems to fit the story of a doctor who persevered to provide definite cure for a rather common but permanent ailment. When Dr. M V Ural witnessed the suffering of his hospitalized relative awaiting treatment for months at a time in a renowned establishment, and many others with the same complaints, he set out on an arduous journey. The case was of Varicose veins, which is increasingly seen across all age groups.

Hailing from the coastal district of Udupi in Karnataka, Dr. M V Ural graduated with B.A.M.S degree from A.L.N Rao Memorial Ayurvedic medical College, Koppa in the neighbouring Chikkamagaluru district. During his research, he studied signs and symptoms of Varicose veins, Hyper-pigmentation, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Venous ulcers etc. He noticed the vulnerability amongst people whose profession or nature of work demanded standing or sitting for extended periods of time. This included people working in or as Security, Teachers, Sales and Marketing personnel, Police, Agriculturists, Construction workers, Drivers, Hospital staff, Desk jobs. After a comprehensive search and understanding of these concepts across treatises in Ayurveda and contemporary literature, Dr. M V Ural involved himself actively in constant discussions with peers, traditional practitioners, research laboratories and other successful clinicians. This led him to understand, formulate, refine, and apply the traditional and clinical techniques to manage various stages and complications of varicose veins. With his wide-ranging knowledge over 15 years, Dr. M V Ural introduced a unique set of poly-herbal formulations at affordable prices. The immense success of Dr. M V Ural’s remedies and techniques brought him the opportunity to work in a project helping our Police force, especially those under the Traffic division. These personnel work day and night, and are on their feet for most of their career. As a student Dr. Shafe was skeptical about practicing as a Dentist alone at someone’s Else Dentistry but one fine day the Entrepreneur inside him kicked in and he decided to establish his own dentistry. Today Dr. Shafe is here to share with us how with a little courage and determination he was able to build an outstanding Dentistry right near his home.

After completing his studies Dr. Shafe worked for 5 years as an employee in a total of 2 dentist practices. His first practice was where he got to learn the its and bits of dentist practice. His boss there was his mentor and he taught him what the theory in books couldn’t teach. His second practice was at a rather big dentistry where almost 7-8 dentists worked together. Even after that he always had a very busy schedule. It was at the second workplace where he got a realisation and dream of owning his own dentistry. “It was a slow yet sudden realization. At my way to work, there was a perfect space where a Dentistry could be established and the great thing was it was available for rent. Few days I just looked at the space and moved on. I thought my dream of owning a Dentistry was too wild, but with time I was so obsessed with the idea that I wanted to do that at any cost.” Shares Dr. Shafe.

Taking a courageous decision, Dr. Shafe started his Entrepreneurial Journey by signing a lease for that space in the month of February 2016. He toiled hard, gave it all in and finally inaugurated his own Dentistry in the month of July 2016. Today Dr. Parham Shafe is the leading dentist of Berlin. His idea has always been that of quality against quantity and this is why he switched from his 2nd workplace towards Entrepreneurship. This is the reason that his Dentistry is based on the idea of making the patient feel good and comfortable. His Dentistry is very spacious and has an exceptional interior.
