Jharsuguda (Odisha) [India], May 15: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, observed the International Day of Families by organizing the latest edition of ‘Proud Parents’, an annual event held exclusively for the parents of its employees. The initiative aimed at providing them with a first-hand experience of its mega aluminium plant in Jharsuguda and encouraging a family-centric culture among its diverse teams.

In keeping with the United Nations-designated theme for this year – “Family-Oriented Policies for Sustainable Development”, at the heart of the company’s Family Day celebrations was the latest edition of ‘Proud Parents’. As part of this two-day event, the parents of Vedanta’s employees at Jharsuguda were invited to the plant, one of the largest aluminium manufacturing operations in the world. They were given a guided tour of key units within the plant, including the Carbon, Potline, Cast House, and Power Plant areas.

In addition, they were also taken on an immersive visit to the employee township, which is home to comprehensive living amenities including recreational areas, swimming pools, gyms, stadiums, auditoriums, day care facilities, supermarkets, hospitals, and several others. Further, they were introduced to the ongoing community development projects undertaken by Vedanta in Jharsuguda, which span several areas including education, livelihood, healthcare, skill development and community infrastructure.

Mr. Sunil Gupta, COO – Vedanta Aluminium stated, At Vedanta, we believe that a strong organization is built on the foundation of strong families and robust community partnerships. The objective of the ‘Proud Parents’ initiative is to provide parents with a first-hand glimpse of the business and witness the crucial tasks undertaken by their children, while also providing a reassurance that their wellbeing is well taken care of. The initiative reflects Vedanta’s belief that families are foundational to an employee’s success and well-being. • Hiru Industries marks Mother’s Day with a unique spiritual programme, Vandan

Hiru Industries marks Mother’s Day with a unique spiritual programme, Vandan

Surat (Gujarat) [India], May 15: In an age where modernity tends to sweep tradition aside, Hiru Industries took the opposite approach on this Mother’s Day.

On May 11, the organisation arranged a profoundly emotional ceremony called “Vandan”, which was attended not only by employees but also vendors, partners, and their families, all with one thing in mind: to pay tribute to the boundless love and sacrifice of parents.

In a world hurrying towards progress, “Vandan” reminded everyone there that no success story is ever complete without a chapter for the people who first provided us with life, love, and lessons.

Where Corporate Life Meets Cultural Legacy | Hiru Industries

Unlike the usual corporate celebrations, Vandan wasn’t celebrated with flowers or social media updates.

Instead, it was filled with rituals of respect, where families knelt at the feet of their parents, giving heartfelt thanks, not only in words, but through deeply symbolic acts of worship. From sales vendors to top executives, all joined in the moving ceremony. The atmosphere was charged with silent humility, gentle chanting, and sobbing smiles, an unusual and moving phenomenon in a business arena.

“Where parents are considered gods in this country, it’s saddening to see them being left behind in old-age homes,” Hirenbhai Kakadiya, Director of Hiru Industries, said. “We feel that no success in the world can equal the blessings of one’s parents. That obligation, in fact, can’t be repaid, not even in seven lifetimes.”

A Quiet Revolution in the Language of Gratitude

The occasion, taking cues from the ideals of the Progress Alliance, fostered a rediscovery of eternal virtues, love, respect, and familial obligation. In honouring Mother’s Day with such a heartfelt, multigenerational event, Hiru Industries didn’t merely calendar a date.

They ignited a beacon for others to emulate. “Vandan” became more than a tribute; it became a reminder that in the journey of growth, one must never forget the hands that first held us.

Standard Glass Lining Launches India’s First Glass Lined Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 14: Standard Glass Lining Technology Limited (SGLTL), one of India’s leading engineering firms and a recently listed entity on NSE and BSE, proudly announces a landmark strategic alliance with Japan’s iconic AGI Group and its affiliate GL HAKKO, global leaders in advanced glass-lined technology, to manufacture World’s First Glass-Lined Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers in India.

This milestone collaboration grants SGLTL an exclusive 20-year license to assemble and market GL HAKKO’s world-class glass-lined shell and tube heat exchangers in India—a pioneering breakthrough that positions SGLTL on the global innovation map in this segment.

A Historic Opportunity for Indian Manufacturing: Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nageswara RaoKandula, Managing Director of SGLTL, remarked: “We are deeply honoured to partner with AGI and GL HAKKO, a group with a legacy spanning over 75 years in glass technology. This partnership is a golden opportunity—not just for Standard Glass, but for the entire Indian pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. Until now, this highly specialized equipment was entirely imported. We are now proud to become the first and only manufacturer of this advanced product in India.”

A $2 Billion (Estimated) Global Market Beckons: India’s pharmaceutical and chemical industries have long relied on graphite heat exchangers—an aging technology known for particle contamination and batch failures. In contrast, glass-lined shell and tube heat exchangers deliver superior durability, corrosion resistance, and process safety, representing a game-changing upgrade for critical process applications.

The latent Indian market alone is estimated to be about Rs. 2,000 crore at current estimated sales price of this product, while the global opportunity estimates exceed $2 billion. Standard Glass has already secured 150 advance orders ahead of domestic production.

“We will also manufacture this product at our upcoming world-class, highly mechanised facility, with an initial estimated capacity of about 200 units per month by Q4 FY26,” Mr. Nageswara  Rao added. “We are committed to transforming India into a global hub for glass-lined heat exchanger technology.”

Conductivity Glass-Lined Reactors: Raising the Bar in Plant Safety: In a parallel initiative, SGLTL has also signed an exclusive agreement with GL HAKKO to produce Conductivity Glass-Lined Reactors—a first for India.

“This cutting-edge technology adds a critical layer of safety by near instantly discharging static electricity—a common hazard in pharmaceutical and chemical process plants,” said Mr. Nagesh. “This innovation allows us to offer a unique and effective safety solution for our clients.”

A Heartfelt Thank You to AGI Group: “On behalf of our board, employees, and shareholders, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Yasuyuki Ikeda, Group CEO of AGI Group, for his trust and vision,” Mr. Nageswara Raosaid. “This partnership marks a major turning point in our journey. With the launch of two revolutionary products—Glass-Lined Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers and Conductivity Glass Reactors—we are redefining industry benchmarks and propelling Standard Glass into a new era of leadership and customer service. As you all know our motto has always been that “Customer is God” and these products help us make our customer plants more effective, safe, and, efficient.”

AGI Group: A Committed Long-Term Partner: Mr. Yasuyuki Ikeda, Group CEO of AGI Group, expressed his enthusiasm: “I am truly delighted to bring our shell and tube glass-lined heat exchanger technology to India and the world, in partnership with Standard Glass. AGI Group is proud to be the second-largest shareholder in Standard Glass, after its Indian promoter families.”

“Mr. Nagesh’s passion for engineering excellence and his vision to eliminate graphite heat exchanger related failures inspired us to entrust this license to Standard Glass. Their ability to manufacture 90+ product types under one roof makes them a true engineering supermarket. I look forward to a long, successful collaboration that spans generations.”

About AGI and GL HAKKO: Founded in 1950, AGI is a global leader in advanced glass-engineered systems, offering solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical sectors. Its sister company, GL HAKKO, established in 1955, focuses on high-quality glass-lined reactor and heat exchanger technologies.

  • Dr. Sarita Sukhija Presents: The Art of Vaginal Tightening – A Guide by the Guiding Light Behind Myra IVF

Dr. Sarita Sukhija Presents: The Art of Vaginal Tightening – A Guide by the Guiding Light Behind Myra IVF

New Delhi [India], May 14: Our bodies are changing every second. And as we grow older, a lot of these changes begin to hinder some aspects of our lives. But at the same time, science also keeps up with these changes and comes up with solutions that can help us navigate these challenges. One such wonder of science is the procedure of vaginal tightening. It’s a process to retain or repair the tightness of vagina that might have been lost due to childbirth, aging, menopause or some other factors.

A slack or loosening the elasticity of vagina might not seem like a bigger issue at first but it can have consequences that can hamper the quality of your life and sexual health. Several aspects of your lifestyle get impacted when the vagina slacks beyond a certain level. Bladder control issues, vaginal laxity, decreased level of sexual satisfaction, vaginal atrophy, painful intercourse, inconvenience with wearing tampons are some of the many challenges that arise from vaginal loosening.

Myra IVF’s Dr. Sarita Sukhija says, “Just like we care for our physical well-being and mental health, we must look after our sexual health as well. It often goes unnoticed because there’s a lack of conversations around it. But anything that disturbs your sexual health also impacts your mental health in some way. So even though Vaginal Loosening might not seem something critical to you, it might still need your attention.”

The process of vaginal tightening comes with many benefits. It tightens the vagina, elevates sexual health, it can resolve congenital disorders like vaginal atresia as well, it reduces the occurrence of vaginal infections, it helps with urinary bladder control issues and helps solve various other challenges that arise due to vaginal slacking. Even in women who’re suffering from post menopausal effects, vaginal tightening can ease the symptoms of vaginal dryness, burning and itching. All in all, it’s a process that helps you improve your sexual health, other issues pertaining to vagina and urinary bladder control.

There’s no one way to go about the process of vaginal tightening. It’s usually achieved in various ways. First and most efficient being – non-invasive laser treatment. It’s one of the most recommended ways to get your vaginal walls tightened. It’s non-invasive, non-surgical and focuses on producing collagen and elastic fibres through laser heating. FemiLift is one such treatment which elevates vaginal health by restoring the elasticity of vaginal walls and is equally effective in urinary incontinence infections.

Another go-to process for vaginal tightening is – vaginoplasty. Unlike laser treatment, this one is a surgical process that is often done post pregnancy or due to aging. The key purpose of this procedure is to reconstruct the vagina to repair its shape and size. It makes the vaginal canal tighter and it eventually aids in urinary incontinence. Labiaplasty is yet another surgery which is performed only on the labia of the vagina to make the lips symmetrical by correcting its size/shape. Vaginoplasty and Labiaplasty can be done together or in isolation, depending on the needs of the patient.

There’s another common way of vaginal tightening that doesn’t involve any procedure as such. It’s the usage of creams, gels and pills. These medications are popular and easily accessible, making it convenient for women to undergo vaginal tightening. However, the only setback is that even though they can aid in the tightening of the vaginal walls, they can’t really relieve the symptoms of urinary incontinence, which is the loss of bladder control. Their efficiency is also something that’s uncertain and subjective as compared to the previous methods.

Any of these procedures can be adopted for vaginal tightening, but each one of them come with their own set of challenges. The slackening of vaginal walls is eventually a natural process. So there’s always a possibility of the walls regaining their previous form, implying that these treatments might not last forever. Yet out of all, Vaginoplasty is a procedure that can still deliver long term results. However, that too comes with its own sets of side effects which may or may not arise; like, scarring, loss of sensation, bleeding or infections. In vaginal tightening surgery, there’s a possible range of side effects too like nerve damage, infection or damage to the rectum. While the usage of pills, creams and gels might cause irritation and allergy. This is why it’s equally crucial to consult a reliable medical practitioner who can help you choose the best, and navigate any possible challenges.

“The procedure of vaginal tightening is not very common in India. Which is why, a lot of patients I meet are often skeptical about it and nervous about the possible side effects. But our vagina is just like any other organ. Every part of our body needs care and with right support and guidance you can give it the best possible care,” says Dr. Sarita Sukhija, the visionary behind Myra IVF.

Women since ages have been taught how to live with inconvenience. Unless something is critical, it often goes unnoticed and unaddressed. But it’s important to unlearn it and accept that they’re always one step away from living a better life. Vaginal health is just as important as any other organ and should be looked after.
