    Even after positive indications, the alco-bev industry is grappling with a plethora of challenges that threaten its profitability. Rising input costs are at the core of this struggle.

    The prices of essential raw materials, such as Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), have surged significantly—up by 53% since FY2018—while packaging costs, particularly for glass and paper products, have also seen steep increases of 79% and 22-31%, respectively.

    In addition to these prices energy price hikes further put a dent in the operational budgets. The ability to adjust retail price is dampened by industry’s reliance on state controlled pricing mechanisms which leads to limited margins for extended periods.

    These problems make it necessary to make production practices more sustainable while maintaining product quality. Moreover, the competition within the market is becoming more intense as domestic and international brands try hard to grab eyeballs and please the palettes. This constant push and pull is motivating producers to come up with innovative blends while managing financial pressures.

    Hong Kong, [China], April 11: In a historic initiative to honor the eternal principles of Sanatan Dharma, the Indian community in Hong Kong has established the ‘World Sanatan Dharma Diwas.’ This significant announcement was made on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the sacred day that marks the birth of Lord Shri Ram, who symbolizes righteousness, devotion, and truth.

    This grand event attracted participants not only from the Indian community in Hong Kong but also from Sanatanis across India and other countries, making it a globally significant celebration.

    World Sanatan Dharma Diwas established in Hong Kong

    The main organizers of the event included Lal Hardasani, Dayal N. Harjani, Ramakant Agrawal, Raju Sabnani, Binny Lalji, Rajesh Bhimsaria, Ashok Pritmani, Pishu Mirani, Raju Mukhi, Ramesh Savarthiya, Sohan Goenka, and convener Shashi Bhushan.

    On this occasion, organizer Lal Hardasani remarked,

    “This is a historic moment for the Indian community in Hong Kong. By establishing World Sanatan Dharma Day, we aim to spread a wave of peace and spiritual awakening around the globe.”

    Organizer Sohan Goenka remarked in his address,

    “Every year, we celebrate Ram Navami in different ways, but this year we are committed to establishing it as ‘World Sanatan Dharma Day.’ Lord Shri Ram embodies Dharma. His life testifies to the principles of Sanatan Dharma. He vowed to rid the earth of evil and injustice, fulfilling this promise by willingly renouncing his throne and embracing 14 years of exile. He serves as an inspiration to all humanity as an ideal son, brother, disciple, friend, king, warrior, adversary, father, and husband. Therefore, no day could be more fitting than his birth anniversary to be recognized as ‘World Sanatan Dharma Diwas.’ “

    The organizers also highlighted the recent Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, where 66 crore (660 million) devotees from over 70 countries participated, taking a holy dip in the sacred confluence. They emphasized that this indicates the awakening of global consciousness towards Sanatan Dharma.

    Raju Sabnani and all the organizers celebrated this occasion as a historic and inspirational event, signifying the start of a new spiritual journey.
