    Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. And young teenage authors like Chinmay Patgaonkar prove just that.

    New Delhi (India), March 4: As a child, he was sure that writing is where his passion and strengths intersected. Refusing to take his eyes off the goal, Chinmay Patgaonkar set about mastering the craft and taking incremental steps toward publication. Persistence certainly got him there in the end, and his talent honed along the way will be his path to lasting success.

    A student of Indus International School Pune, Chinmay has just released his second book, Ashoka’s Secret. His first novel, published two years ago is titled The Last 21 Hours: A Bullet That Shook The White House. 

    Ashoka’s Secret is Chinmay Patgaonkar’s second venture into fiction. The story goes thus: After the devastating horrors of the Kalinga war, Ashoka converted to Buddhism and later formed a secret society called The Nine Unknown. The purpose of this secret society was to preserve and update the knowledge in them that could benefit humanity. If these manuscripts fell into the wrong hands, then that could lead to a threat towards humanity and society. More than two and a half millennia later, another secret society formed by power hungry, greedy people is on the hunt to kill all members of the Nine Unknown and steal the nine manuscripts to take control of the entire world. In the midst of a war between two secret societies is a PhD student named Ananya who finds herself being chased by danger for protecting the secret which Ashoka feared would fall into the wrong hands. Can Ashoka’s secret stay lost in history? 

    The young author’s book was launched by Dr Anand Deshpande, the Founder, Chairman & Managing Director of Persistent Systems and the founding member of iSPIRIT, India’s first product think tank started with a vision of creating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in India as well as i4C – Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovation Center; Sandeep Chhabra, the Principal of Indus International School Pune and a revered educationist for three and a half decades; Dr Uma Ganesh, an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi and PhD from IIT Bombay. Her entrepreneurial venture Global Talent Track is a leader in Skills in Asia, GTT and its digital platform Skills Alpha have so far impacted 1.2 million youth in the country. Uma has also co- Founded 5F World, is an investor and Board member in Emoha Health and has co-authored two books on Knowledge Management and Digital Success; and Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Founder and Chairman of 5F World and Global Talent Track, Chairman of Honeywell Automation India Ltd. and the Lighthouse Communities Foundation.

    “Pure Vivaah” -2024 was organized by Sri Ramkrishna Export Family at Gopin Gam

    Surat (Gujarat) [India], March 1: SRK Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF), the philanthropic arm of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), led by Shri Govindbhai Dholakia, Chairman of the company and Rajya Sabha MP, organized a Ramayan themed mass marriage in Surat today to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav of Shri Ram Mandir. Total 84 couples got married under the theme “Pure Vivaah” organized at Gopin gam of Abrama.

    The special attraction of this wedding celebration was that the groom and others were dressed up as Lord Ram and Mother Sita, and the events of Ramayana were brought to life at the venue. To spread the message of saving daughter, donating organs, and saving money, a procession of Ram Lalla was also taken out in the campus, in which the senior citizens of Surat participated enthusiastically.

    On this occasion Shri Govindbhai Dholakia said that after 500 years of struggle, we got our Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya Dham.This unique occasion began with the arrival of the groom (baraat) at 4 pm and concluded with the departure of the bride (kanya vidai) at 9 pm. In this Ramayana themed celebration, various events of the Ramayan, like 14 years of exile (Vanvaas), meeting with Shabri (Shabari Milan) were brought to life. Not only this, the couples also took ‘feras’ donning the attire of Lord Ram and Mother Sita. A total of 84 couples started their married life.

    Minister of State for Railways, Smt. Darshanaben Jardosh inaugurated the event. Also, Minister of State for Home, Shri Harshbhai Sanghvi, Minister Shri Mukeshbhai Patel, Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya, Mayor of Surat, Shri Daksheshbhai Mavani along with all the MLAs of Surat graced the occassion. Moreover, Surat District Collector Dr. Saurabh Parghi, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Shalini Agarwal and Police Commissioner in-charge of Surat city Mr. Wabang Jamir were present.

    So far, more than 813 couples have got married in this “Pure Vivaah” organized by SRKKF since 2015.

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 01: Actions speak more than volumes of speeches. Nidarshana Gowani the dynamic fountainhead of Kamala Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust, a beacon of inspiration illuminating the challenging path of inclusivity and empowerment organised the groundbreaking inspiring event ‘Pillars of Humanity Walk for a Cause.’ at the iconic Gateway of India overlooking the Arabian Sea the other evening.

    The occasion brought together individuals from diverse walks of life, all united on one platform in their commitment to demonstrating the triumph of the unbeatable human spirit over adversity.

    The event saw participation from six vital Trusts representing an amalgam of society’s often underrepresented sections, including transgenders, sex workers, cancer patients, the elderly, handicapped, deaf and mute individuals. These resilient people walked shoulder to shoulder, not only to raise awareness of their causes but to exemplify the extraordinary achievements one can attain despite physical or societal hurdles.

    Highlighting the event was a ceremonial lamp lighting by Narayan Rane, Union Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra who graced the walk as Chief Guest. In his address, Rane applauded Nidarshana Gowani’s remarkable balance of business acumen with her inspirational passion for social work. His words underpinned the importance of such initiatives in building a more compassionate society.

    Also walked for the cause was S P Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, who lauded Nidarshana’s untiring efforts and outlined the advancements in India’s medical field. Former Member of Parliament and actress (Draupadi of popular tv-serial Mahabharat) Roopa Ganguly graced the occasion to cheer up the underprivileged and neglected members of the society.

    Celebrity power added a touch of glamour to the event as Bollywood and OTT personalities, including actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, Saiyami Kher (Ghoomer movie fame), Tanisha Mukerji (she was also the gracious anchor), this season’s Bigg Boss winner Munawar Faruqui, Paras Kalnawat, Tina Singh and actress Anusmriti Sarkar, anong others took to the ramp to support the noble cause. These celebrities were also honoured as a mark of their exemplary solidarity, offering their influence to amplify the voices of those often unheard and the sufferings not seen and often neglected. Also, celebrities who came to support this well-meaning mission of Nidarshana were Shiv Thakre (Marathi Bigg Boss winner), noted singer Madhushree, newest Marathi superstar Bhushan Patil, former Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner Debojit Shah, former Indian Idol star singer Harshi Madhaparia, among others.

    “The ‘Pillars of Humanity Walk for a Cause’ was more than just a walk.It was a magnificent testament to the indomitable will of the human spirit. Through this initiative, the participants and organisers demonstrated that with right support and recognition, the barriers faced by various minorities can be transformed into stepping-stones for success,” said a confident Nidarshana adding that the Trust keeps doing social works round the year. “It’s a continuous process,” she said as a matter of fact.

    Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 01:  As India commemorated National Science Day on February 28, 2024, PEHEL Foundation, in collaboration with the implementation partner BharatCares, celebrated the occasion with a special initiative: the ‘STEM on Wheels’ project.

    The ‘STEM on Wheels’ project, which has been active in the Kalol and Sanand blocks of Ahmedabad for the entire academic year, aims to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education among school students. On National Science Day, 20 schools from these blocks participated in the ‘STEM on Wheels Science Day Exhibition, with over 4,100 Government Primary School students taking part.

    During the exhibition, three to five students from each of the 20 schools showcased their STEM-based experiments. These experiments were based on real-life applications of STEM concepts, which the students learned during their regular interactive STEM sessions with the ‘STEM on Wheels’ project throughout the academic year.

    In total, 48 different STEM models were created by the students. These models covered various topics, including rainwater harvesting, Newton’s disk, magnetic swing, and dams. The exhibition provided an opportunity for students in grades 6 to 8 to deepen their understanding of STEM learning and cultivate a passion for science and technology.

    The Pehel Foundation, with the support of BharatCares, organized these exhibitions to inspire young minds and ignite their curiosity about science and technology. These efforts aim to shape the future generation of scientists and innovators in India.
