Entrepreneur and Digital strategist Yash Mishra says Digital platforms are performing significant roles in defining the influence of voters

After the pandemic, many things became dependent on digital platforms, including defining the image of parties and representatives in politics

February 7: A lot has been changed over the years, looking at how the advent of technology and the rise of the internet of things have gone ahead in revolutionizing industries and sectors of the world. It is amazing to notice how these technological advances have disrupted industries for the better, bringing about a wave of great change and transforming people’s lives, offering them ease and convenience in ways more than one. Amidst technological advancements and the rise of digital platforms pushing forward growth for sectors, how could the world of politics remain behind?

Yash Mishra says that digital platforms play significant roles in defining the influence of voters in elections, which has proved how these platforms have been pushing the envelope and taking over almost all industries worldwide. Statistics show the growth of the digital advertising industry with $3.24 billion as on 2022. Also, in 2020, there were 700 million Internet users in India, which is now expected to increase to 900 million by 2025. All these numbers prove how well people, brands, industries, and others are integrating their work with the digital mediums as they are aware of how most of the population today is found on the net.

It is essential to notice here that after the pandemic broke, many industries and businesses had to choose the digital way to carry forward their activities and take their businesses ahead. This today has become a way of life for many entrepreneurs, artists, politicians, brands, and companies all over the world. Yash Mishra, whose agency Glossour is currently working on the state E election campaign of 2022 Uttarakhand state election, noticed how after the pandemic, digital platforms also played a key role in defining the image of parties and representatives and eventually decisions.

He highlights that in the coming years, digital platforms will increasingly become a necessity for people and industries to reach their visions and efforts to the people they wish to cater to, inspiring further innovation and growth of the digital realm as a whole. Branding too, has seen to have helped various niches, including politics, through different digital marketing strategies and services, which in turn give political leaders the knowledge and expertise in strategizing their elections.

Lastly, the young entrepreneur and digital and political strategist say that it is only smart to adapt to the digital platforms for branding and the like so that better strategic planning can be exercised, bringing great results to politicians and leaders.

  • Tiger on Eiger – Largest artwork atop the Swiss Peak

Tiger on Eiger – Largest artwork atop the Swiss Peak

New Delhi (India), February 4: Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter lights up the Eiger North Face in Grindelwald and reiterates Swiss commitment to diverse cultures and environment on eve of the winter Olympic games.

February 3rd, 2022 marks the beginning of the Year of the Tiger in Asia. The Tiger incidentally is the pride of many nations and in extreme danger of being extinct. While many might celebrate the Chinese New Year let’s also pay a tribute to the Tiger who is a significant step in maintaining the ecological balance of this planet.

Switzerland congratulates those who would celebrate the New Year and also reminds us to save the tiger, save our environment with the projection of a 5.3 km long and over 2 km tall tiger on the Eiger North Face projected by Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter. This stems from the artist’s and in general the Swiss people’s deep respect for diverse cultures as well as our environment.

Gerry Hofstetter thus created the largest work of art in the world, over 1,060 football fields in size.

The idea came into his mind when he recognized in the shape of the Eiger a lying Tiger and adding the play on words Tiger/Eiger. With it he wants to symbolize the Swiss mountains and the international solidarity of Switzerland. He particularly chose the start of the winter Olympics as his date with the Tiger on the Eiger as he felt, it should also be a motivation for all Swiss athletes, and of course all other participating athletes, to fight like a tiger for victory. The Winter Olympics will start on February 4th attracting global attention, perhaps also the best moment to create environmental awareness globally.

Gerry Hofstetter and his team needed more than a year to get the projection right. Weather, wind, clouds, moon size, moon position, snow, cold and constellation of the stars had to fit perfectly into a 15-minute time frame. The well-known photographer from Gerry’s team, Frank Schwarzbach, was able to capture the tiger photographically at the right moment.

The action was supported locally by Grindelwald Tourism, the municipality of Grindelwald and by art patrons in Switzerland and abroad.

The tiger lives in 13 countries in Asia. He is threatened with extinction and therefore protected.

Gerry Hofstetter is an internationally active light artist and film producer. With his projections he succeeds in conveying nature, messages and themes spectacularly, sensitively, quietly and sometimes with a wink of the eye. With his illuminations he is also committed to the climate and to a prosperous future for humans, animals and nature on our planet.

Known projects of him are illuminations of icebergs in the Arctic, the Antarctic and the Matterhorn in Zermatt in March 2020 during the global lockdown COVID-19 as a solidarity project for the whole world.

  • Indian government take bold steps on digital currency in Budget 2022, Market analyst Deepak Talwar welcomes the move

Indian government take bold steps on digital currency in Budget 2022, Market analyst Deepak Talwar welcomes the move

February 3: The government has suggested a 30 per cent tax on the transfer of any virtual digital asset. The finance minister said today in Budget 2022 that no deductions other than acquisition costs will be allowed, and no transaction losses will be carried forward. And, the second big move is that starting in FY 2022-23, the Reserve Bank of India will issue digital rupees utilising blockchain and other technologies. Seasoned market analyst and lobbyist Deepak Talwar identifies the benefits and shares his views on the same.

For a few months, the RBI was working on a plan to create the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). The government has now made a public announcement about a digital currency, however, the RBI has yet to test the new digital asset and reveal its plans for the technology framework. Market analyst Deepak Talwar informs, “If India continues to its intentions, it will become one of the world’s major economies to implement a so-called central bank digital currency (CBDC), following in the footsteps of China, which is already testing a digital yuan. The central bank’s adoption of digital currency will result in more efficient and cost-effective currency management.”

The digital currency will not be a replacement for fiat currency, but rather a digital equivalent that may be transacted through RBI-regulated blockchain-based exchanges. The RBI may outsource some digital rupee operations to banks, and depositors may be given the option of converting their deposits to digital rupee. According to the market expert Deepak Talwar, this will provide the economy a significant boost while also allowing for more cost-effective and efficient currency management.

For a long time, virtual digital asset trading platforms in India have battled to achieve acceptance and progress. Despite having been in India for nearly a decade, these networks only have about 25 million active users out of a population of 1.4 billion.

Investors have been stopped from reaching the market due to a lack of understanding of virtual digital asset market dynamics and valuations, a lack of legal framework and regulatory rules, and concerns about the safety of investments in the relatively new-formed currency. As per the new budget, the income earned through the transfer of any such digital assets will be taxed at 30 per cent, with an additional 1 per cent tax deduction at the source available during such transactions.

“It is a tremendous move forward by India for three reasons,” Deepak Talwar said of the significant statement on virtual digital asset income taxation. “First, this move recognises them as a valid asset class and its trading as a legitimate activity. Second, tax clarity will attract more people to this industry, resulting in further growth. Finally, a well-regulated eco-system will generate a climate conducive to innovation.”

He adds, “The government’s decision not to ban virtual digital assets, which had been pending for a long time, has provided additional clarity. It means that the government does not intend to put a stop to the activities related to them, but rather wants to move in a direction with clear norms and regulations.”

“Virtual digital assets have gained remarkable popularity in recent years, according to the budget memorandum, and the volume of trading in such digital assets has expanded significantly,” says Talwar, seasoned market analyst and lobbyist. He further informs, “A market is forming in which payment for the transfer of a virtual digital asset can be made using another virtual digital asset. As a result, the Bill proposes a new scheme to provide for their taxation.”

By permitting these assets to be taxed, and introducing CBDB, they have finally been given legitimacy by the Indian government. This is a breath of fresh air for this business, as well as a stimulus for creativity. India is currently undergoing a financial system transformation. This marks the start of a new India.

  • COVID spread can be reduced with improvement in air quality – reveals Mansoor Ali, in the latest research by his team at AMFAH India

COVID spread can be reduced with improvement in air quality – reveals Mansoor Ali, in the latest research by his team at AMFAH India

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 1: The pandemic has been a constant worry for every country across the globe for the last two years. Ongoing research is constantly bringing new facts and theories to the front, which shows us a better way to fight the virus. One significant aspect of research findings is air quality, as revealed by the recent research and development work of Mr Mansoor Ali and his team at AMFAH India.

An organisation founded with the purpose of offering climate improvement solutions, Mansoor Ali and his team are dedicated to leveraging air quality solutions to battle the pandemic. He has been offering his expertise and support to the Maharashtra government during the current coronavirus pandemic too.

    Relative Humidity and airborne transmission

It is a known fact that viral infections are easily transmitted when many people are in proximity to one another. However, it is Indoor Air that is too dry or too high in humidity that increases the risk of transmission as well as the survival of viruses. Transmission is most common in close range via droplets and airborne aerosols.

Some of the ground-breaking thoughts put forth by Mansoor Ali, Research Analyst & Indoor Air Quality expert, predicted COVID-19 wave in India and identified the scientific role of Ventilation Filtration Humidity in indoor environment towards breaking the virus and its chain.

“Understanding the role of relative humidity in the droplet spread of disease allows us to develop preventive measures that could aid in reducing the chance of transmission, particularly in an indoor environment. The self-cleaning process works best at a minimum humidity of 40 to 60% RH and is able to remove viruses from the body quickly,” reveals Mansoor.

    Looking at air quality closely

Mansoor is a pioneer in India, identifying the growing needs of indoor Air Quality issues affecting human health and wellness with Humidity control. His Engineering R&D and association with leading Medical Doctors, Research associates and masters in the common domain makes his company Emerging as a Global leading brand in Air Treatment, Purification and Humidity Solutions.

Mansoor’s research had identified very early that Covid is airborne. He also joined the lead petition filed by Dr Stephanie Taylor from Harvard medical school to WHO in the first wave, ensuring COVID was acknowledged and declared as an airborne virus.

    Major Concerns

“Air quality in our homes, in hospitals, offices, schools and other indoor spaces are a cause of concern. Lower air quality, with an imbalance of Relative humidity, weakens our immune system, making us susceptible to getting infected,” says Mansoor. When it comes to air quality, he highlights that each of us is breathing air, which is either too high or too low on humidity, temperature, and air quality. This is major because of re-circulated indoor ventilation.

Schools are reopening, and with kids being unvaccinated, parents are fearing the worst. According to the survey conducted by community platform Local Circles, around 36% of parents who have children attending school said that classes do not have good air ventilation. 41% of them have children who have their lunch indoors, which, the survey noted, puts them at a higher risk of getting infected with Covid-19.

Role of team AMFAH India in pandemic

Mansoor Ali and his team has been committedly working shoulder to shoulder with the frontline workers since the early days of the pandemic to help them breathe better quality air by installing their Latest innovation, Humidity Controlling Units (Patent Filed) in hospitals, police stations, war rooms and the like.

“We understood the importance of breathing good quality air when fighting COVID and during the peak days of the pandemic when the cases were severely on the rise. We collaborated with the MCGM Health Dept Mumbai to install our equipment at multiple hospitals, police stations, ICUs, war rooms, COVID shelters all across Mumbai. We also supported government offices and hospitals like KEM Hospital, Kasturba Hospital, Sion Hospital (Sion), Nair Hospital, ENT Hospital (Churchgate) and Trauma Center (Jogeshwari).  We installed them at the Shivaji Nagar police station and Oshiwara police station. It is important to safeguard the frontline workers, and people who are taking care of us, and thus, giving them the gift of high-quality air is the least we can do. The pandemic is still not over, and we should all take the right step to maintain the humidity in the air we breathe to make the virus less effective,” Mansoor Ali mentions.

Even Dr Shashank Joshi, task force member, Maharashtra state and leading endocrinologist, has re-iterated the significance of controlling indoor air quality as an additional yet important aspect of breaking the chain in the air itself apart from the COVID appropriate behaviour which every human being have to get ingrained.

According to research, the COVID virus can survive at least two weeks after drying at temperature and humidity conditions found in an air-conditioned environment. So, given the research and the extraordinary work he and his team is doing in our tropical climate, maintaining the humidity to temperature ratio in our indoor spaces is very important to keep the virus at bay!
