    Bangalore gets its first boutique coworking space provider: Work Theater

    Bangalore, October 12: Work Theater is India’s first coworking space curated with three themes: wellness, theater and silk. Launched earlier this month, this coworking space provider is one of the newest entrants to Bangalore’s vibrant startup and freelancer ecosystem. Traditionally, coworking spaces that are spacious and inspire creativity are expensive. Work Theater aims to bridge this gap for freelancers and startups looking for creative work spaces at an affordable price point. Work Theater has opened its doors at its pilot location in Nagarbhavi Outer Ring Road and plans to scale in other residential parts of the country once its business model has proved successful.

In addition, the coworking space has used pure silk fabric-based wall hangings to decorate its common areas.     As a new entrant in the coworking industry in Bangalore, Work Theater was founded with an intention to diversify the parent silk export business, Chaitra Ventures. The idea took shape when Mr. Karthik Magaji studied coworking spaces as part of his master’s dissertation at the Alliance Manchester Business School. He recalls that “I was inspired by the idea of creating a holistic workspace where you could do it all: have your focus time, collaborate, take a shower, read a book, play a game, meditate, do karaoke or even watch a movie. Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Collector of Pune District, presented the roadmap of the Financial Inclusion Campaign to be held from 15.10.2022 to 26.11.2022.

    The Financial Inclusion campaign envisages to provide bank accounts for every adult under Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) and insurance/pension schemes for every eligible individual. It will also facilitate the coverage of Mudra Loan and KCC with a focus on farmers engaged in animal husbandry, dairy and fishery activities. There will be a focus on Self-Help Group members by extending them a credit facility. The campaign will concentrate on Mobile/ Aadhaar seeding of existing accounts with a special focus on making small accounts and normal accounts full KYC compliant.

    Efforts shall be made to add fillip to the enrolment of various social security schemes viz. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojna (APY). The campaign shall also cater loans to Farmer Produce Organisations (FPOs), and Post-Harvest facilities like Cold Chain Infrastructure shall also be targeted.

    The campaigns will be coordinated by Lead District Manager (LDM) under the overall guidance and directions of the District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC) headed by the District Collector. The camps are scheduled on every Saturday as per a pre-approved program.
