SGCCI and Vidhyadeep University Launch Innovative Skill Acquisition Centre to Bolster Prime Minister’s “Skill India” Campaign.

Goa (India), July 10: Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) National Executive Board members Gurmit Singh Arora and Chandra Shekhar Gupta met with the honourable Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, on Monday, 5th July 2023. The discussion centred around the development of the Centre of International Plumbing Practices (COIPP), a state-of-the-art working plumbing lab to be established at Goa Engineering College.

Dr. Pramod Sawant extended his support and blessing for the COIPP initiative during the meeting, offering his full assistance in its growth. The IPA NEB emphasised the need to use proper plumbing practices in the built environment. The leaders also proposed that periodical Water Audits be implemented in all buildings, which might result in considerable water conservation and the identification of problem areas for improved installations.

Ashok Joshi, Chair of IPA’s Goa Chapter, and Vice Chair Guruprasad Mantravadi were also present at the meeting. The IPA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Goa Engineering College on 9th July 2021 to establish COIPP. The lab will encompass an area of 625 sq m on the college campus.

The Centre of International Plumbing Practices (COIPP) is a collaborative initiative between the Indian Plumbing Association, the apex body of plumbing professionals in India, and Goa Engineering College. It aims to provide a platform for comprehensive learning, knowledge acquisition, and practical training for the plumbing and building fraternity. COIPP will feature demonstrations of the latest plumbing equipment and fittings for modern buildings.

~ Advay has secured First Place in all four competitions within the Elementary category and Ihit has secured a Runner-Up and Second Runner up positions in two other competitions at the prestigious Asian Academic Championship, 2023 ~

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 7: Mind Wars, a leading educational initiative by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), proudly announces the exceptional triumph of Advay Misra, a brilliant student of Standard 7 from Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, Delhi and Ihit Bharadwaj, a talented student of Standard 10 from Goldcrest High School, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, at the prestigious Asian Academic Championship (AAC), 2023.

Advay has secured First Place in all four competitions – Academic Bee, Science Bee, History Bee, and the Geography Bee, within the Elementary category at the global championship. He also emerged victorious in the History Bowl team event within the Middle School Division, securing an impressive second place. Ihit showcased remarkable skill, determination, and an unwavering passion for knowledge, securing the prestigious Runner-Up position in the Science Bee and Second Runner-Up Position in the Academic Bee and Geography Bee.

Advay and Ihit were among 205 participating students from 75 schools across 14 Asian countries at AAC. It was held at the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort in Khaolak, Thailand.

 Both the winners were selected at the national level preliminary round – National Academic Championship (NAC), a pan India competition for Indian students to demonstrate their aptitude skills and compete with their peers from all over the country, organised by Mind Wars. The MW team remained dedicated to supporting and establishing a global platform for students to showcase their extraordinary talents and  provided guidance and training to Advay and Ihit, preparing them to represent India on an international platform along with sponsoring the entire trip for the competition.
