Author Amarnath Jhawas in an anonymous remote hamlet, Jhanjharpur in Bihar. New Delhi (India), January 31: Poet and author Akriti Sharma’s first book ‘Married on Paper’, which explores modern relationships, is receiving very good reviews.

Published in December by Notion Press, Married on Paper is available both in paperback and e-versions across all leading e-commerce platforms and book chains.

Married on paper is based on the story of a young couple that goes to different continents just a month after their marriage because both want to focus on their dreams. The book describes the journey of the two individuals and how they pursue their passion while holding on to each other despite the physical distance separating them. With mental health as its central theme, married on Paper highlights the importance of being vocal about one’s emotions.

Akriti began her writing journey in her early teens and was encouraged by feedback from friends and family to continue to focus on her passion. Akriti discovered her potential for writing stories during her short stint in performing arts at Barry John Acting Studio, and there has been no looking back since.

Her writing ambitions also got a huge boost when her poetry was shared on social media by none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has one of the highest fan following on social media among Indian celebrities. She started writing short stories and scenes during her days at Barry John’s Acting Studio and eventually wrote her first book, Married on Paper, a work of fiction inspired by her experiences. Amitabh Bachchan has had a huge influence on Akriti’s life and career, and unsurprisingly, her advice to aspiring writers is also inspired by the megastar himself.

“I remember reading Mr Bachchan’s blog where he wrote that life never gives up and urges one to never give up easily. You muster your way through the filth, the dirt, the slush, the rain, and heat and all else, but you survive to fight the next. That is exactly what I have done in my life, and is also my advice is to budding authors,” adds Akriti, who is also a bibliophile and a passionate dancer.

January 29: Jaipur based model and actor Yash Agarwal, who has taken modelling and acting experience from fashion shows, modelling and music video albums and short films, will soon be seen in some new and big projects. Notably, Yash Agarwal has so far done one Hindi feature film Koi Saath Hai, one short film, five music video albums, a few documentaries and fashion shows. In fashion shows like Mr Rajasthan, Mr and Miss Rajasthan, Mr and Miss Jaipur, Jaipur Youth Festival, Jaipur Fashion Show, Rajasthan Culture Heritage involved and in music video albums Main Tera Tu Meri, Jitti Dafa, Bekhayali, Dekhte Dekhte and cover song Taaron Ka shahar is included as work experience. Apart from this, Yash has also done photoshoots for Fashion Magazine, namely Fashion Replica and Famtag Magazine. Yash has been featured on the inner page of Famtag magazine in season 1 and on the back cover in season 2.

About his early career, he told that I started my career in 2017 with acting classes in Jaipur based production company Tarang Media, after 6 months acting course here I hone my skills by doing 3 months theater activity at Ravindra Manch. After this, i immediately joined Pink Eyes modeling agency with the aim of starting modeling. Along with this, I learned the nuances of post and pre production and direction along with managing different shows. My motive behind choosing this field was to become a role model for many people through my own hard work and struggle. Along with this, in the initial days, I started a YouTube channel Tapu Vs Papu, on which I used to upload videos of my acting Vines, from which I was also getting to learn something new digitally knowledge and my acting skills were also improving. Talking about Yash’s mentors, he told that my first mentor in this field was Arjad Naaz, who got my entry in the modeling industry through Pink Eyes. Other skills like camera facing, dubbing and acting were learned from Ritu Daman. 

Yash considers his support system and inspiration to his parents and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a role model in the Bollywood industry. He said that there has been full support of family and friends at every turn of his career. There was a time when the family members wanted me to join a home business. Giving priority to his words, I joined the family business and while keeping my passion alive, I was also involved in other works related to the modeling industry, everyone has been very motivated and guided from time to time.

Talking about his hobbies, he said that I like to travel and do poetry, watching movies, making new friends, focusing on fitness. Along with this, my special quality is to do good acting, writing dialogues, photography, direction, event management.

Giving a message to the newcomers coming to this industry, he said that if you also want to do something in this field, then you have to always keep your mindset and thought process positive so that you can easily achieve what you want to achieve. January 29: “Due to the continuous increase of active COVID cases in the state, the Salasar Balaji Temple committee has decided that from January 19 to 31, Shri Balaji temple will be closed for common devotees” – Nitin Pujari, the Dharmaveer priest of the temple told us. Earlier the temple was closed only on Sundays as per the curfew but now the temple will be completely closed till 31 January.

Our team got a chance to interact with the priest of Salasar Balaji – Nitin Pujari Ji who told us some interesting facts about the temple, shared some insight into his personal life and sent good wishes for our readers. Here are few excerpts from the interview:

Who is Nitin Pujari:

Nitin Pujari Ji is the 9th generation descendent of Mohandas Ji, who is carrying forward the responsibilities of worshipping Balaji. He is the son of Priest Shri Mithu Ji and grandson of Shri Kaniram Ji. His family have been into the service of Salasar Balaji since ages. Nitin Pujari Ji right from his early childhood has followed his family and devoted his life to Salasar Balaji. • Mohandas ji the first caretaker of the temple had taken a “Jivit Samadhi” in the temple itself. It is of great importance to pay homage to him before doing Darshan of Balaji Maharaj.
• The temple contains a divine fire called ‘Dhuni’ which has been lit through more than 300 years. This fire was Ignited by Mohandas ji and it is believed that taking ashes from there can relieve the devotees from all their sorrows.
• Temple also has the Chariot in which the idol of Shri Balaji was brought.
• In the premises of the temple there is a very old tree, it is strongly believed that by tying a coconut to this tree, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.

Nitin Pujari also told us that it is the only temple in India where Hanuman Ji is present with Moustache and Beard. It is believed that Hanuman is present here in adult form. Each year two big fairs are organised in the temple in which lakhs of devotees take part. In the present situation of COVID the fairs were not organised last year. Malick Bodian Wins the GQ award for Best Model 2021

January 29: Malick Bodiane is the Senegalese-Italian top model who has worked with Dior, Hugo Boss, Salvatore Ferragamo. His knack for creating and capturing a very particular beauty brand is undeniable. A 23-year-old model shows his artistry in front of the camera and behind it. He was born and raised in Senegal.

Malick Bodian hits the runway in 2018 at the Valentino Fall. He has walked for Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Dunhill, Berluti, and others in the same season. And he will end the year with a spring walk for Burberry. He notes that his 2018 Givenchy Haute couture look has remained his favorite. He believes in becoming a unique character for every show. He can utilize body language from intense glares to subtle vulnerability to justify his work.

Malick Bodian has been awarded Best Model by GQ, an American international monthly men’s magazine. Malick was nominated for a male model of the year award. He has also appeared for GC magazine’s model of the year award for 2020. He also starred in a cover story for AnOther Magazine, wearing Dunhill’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Bodian showcased his work ethic, walking 21 times in 3 different cities in that week alone. Presently he has 28 thousand followers on Instagram.

Malick began to experiment photography through documenting the places he travels to as a model, a lot of countries in Europe, America and Asia.

Marathon is Canceled, Running ISN’T!
