Across India, 80+ students have already been selected and represented at various state and district levels from CAP centres. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, one of our players, Yashasvi Rishav from CAP Patna, who is representing the Bihar State team, has scored a brilliant hundred. More than six players from CAP Patna were selected to represent the Bihar state team in Cooch Behar Trophy and C K Nayudu Trophy last year. Seven players from CAP Jaipur represented their district team in Rajasthan. CAP is proud that an increasing number of students are being selected for various district and state level camps. We will soon be organising an interactive session with the Pathan brothers for our students on the app. We want to help as many cricket aspirants as possible to give them an opportunity who love the sport and need access to world-class coaching infrastructure.”

He further added, “Moving forward, we are planning tours of other countries for giving match exposure under different environments to the young buds. We are also planning to organize an all India CAP tournament where every CAP centre will participate. The academy also focuses on nutrition, psychology and the overall physical development of the students. We aim to launch 20 more academies in the cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Srinagar, Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Agra, Salem, Guntur, Malihabad, Gulbarga, and Berhampur and have pledged to invest INR 2 crores towards this goal. We hope to become the preferred academy for cricket coaching across the country, and we are committed to it.”

    Enhancing Training Strategy using Technology

CAP uses state-of-the-art technology tools to help leverage the performances of all the students. Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) has tied up with the UK based cricket technology partner- Pitch Vision to track students’ performance in real-time, which also bridges the gap between the Pathan brothers, coaches and the students.

A recent addition has been of CAP-StanceBeam, a smart cricket bat sensor that gives shot analysis and instant 360-degree batting performance data analytics to players and coaches. With real-time collaboration with the coaches, this tool keeps track of the practice sessions, enabling the coaches in providing instant correction to players.

The company’s subsidiary BelfricsBT would deploy its Belriumblockchain based Belyo platform to provide a system to maintain and disseminate health data in real-time for its hospital in Dadaab, Kenya.

Belfrics will be deploying our blockchain solutions at the IFO 2 hospital in Dadaab, Garissa County, which is a 100-bed referral hospital serving between 200 and 300 outpatients a day,” said Praveen Kumar, Founder & CEO of Belfrics Group. “The IFO 2 hospital serves the 232,903 refugees who reside in Kenya and is the only major hospital providing medical care to this underserved community. BelfricsBT will provide a customized hospital management system that will automate the IFO 2 hospital. Our Belyo platform will capture, store, streamline, analyze and effectively communicate patient health data to caregivers. • Acid attack survivors need support to break the bias

Acid attack survivors need support to break the bias

Timely medical help and rehabilitation can give survivors the opportunity to reclaim their lives

March 11: ACID attacks against women are a blot on the face of a civilized society. But many women and girls in India continue to fall victim to this most despicable crime. While many fight back against their perpetrators and also succeed in life, others need help in the form of medical and rehabilitation support.

Anshu Rajput was just 15 when she was attacked by a 55-year-old sexual predator. She is a great example of how a survivor not only ensured that the perpetrator got convicted, but she also went on to become an inspiration to hundreds of other acid attack survivors.

“Acid attackers target the face of their victims in a bid to isolate them from society, and sadly, society reacts exactly as they expect,” says Alok Dixit, Founder, Chhanv Foundation. This Noida-based NGO played an important role in shaping Anshu’s life by not only funding multiple surgeries and other forms of medical support but also helping her with rehabilitation by employing her at Sheroes Hangout, a cafe run by survivors of acid attacks in Agra.

India had almost 200 reported acid attacks, mostly against women, in 2020 alone. The chemicals used in the acid can be so toxic that the women are left with third and fourth-degree burns on their face, throat, and arms. Many often have impaired eyesight after an acid attack. Not to speak of psychological, social, economic and opportunity costs they pay throughout their lives.

Over the years, the Chhanv Foundation has supported hundreds of acid attack survivors by providing them legal assistance, medical aid, higher education and even employment through its cafes – Sheroes Hangout in Agra and Lucknow. However, scores of acid attack victims who have approached Chhanv for help still await essential medical treatment.

“The last two years have been very difficult for us due to a crisis in funds. We have not been able to support even the critical surgeries and other forms of treatment. There are too many survivors whose urgent treatment is awaited,” says Alok Dixit.

GiveIndia, India’s largest giving platform and Chhanv Foundation have come together to raise ₹ one crore to provide medical aid and other forms of support for acid attack survivors.

Talking about the fundraiser, Sumit Tayal, COO, GiveIndia, said, “As the world recognises and acknowledges the importance of breaking harmful biases against women, we hope that our fundraiser brings a change in the lives of acid attack survivors across the country. Through our joint campaign, we hope to channel the generous support of women and men against biases of all kinds and help acid attack survivors reclaim their lives and inspire many others.”

Avalipt.com initiates It’s Just Blood campaign this Women’s Day to kill the stigma around menstruation blood

New Delhi (India), March 9: Avalipt, a custom fashion startup led by women entrepreneur  Shomby Goswami came with this unapologetic idea this International Women’s Day to normalise the stigma about period blood amongst men and society at large with the campaign – IT’S JUST BLOOD in association with@storysellercomics (Author, CAT India Topper, IIT B, IIM C).

Men wore avalipt’s blood theme designed handpainted shirts on the streets of Bangalore holding placards stating- it’s just blood, everyone bleeds, disrupt the disgust and its bloody time that we break the stigma. Period.

The highlight of the campaign was men coming up together in a circular formation around a woman debunking the myth and promoting – PERIOD BLOOD IS NORMAL.

This came as a thought-provoking idea to ensure that Avalipt won’t stay as a brand that sells clothes but also use the platform and the team associated with smashing social stigma. The existence of the brand revolves around the pursuit of identity, and that’s what they are promoting.

The men marched on MG Road, Brigade Road, and Church Street, Bangalore, an entire day to promote a simple yet strong message, i.e. IT’S JUST BLOOD! AND EVERYONE BLEEDS! They also stood on the road on a busy traffic day to ensure the message stayed loud and clear.

In their words- We are marching towards a transparent and accepting society where we are standing with women.

Avalipt is a power-wear brand that offers premium hand-painted clothing helmed by a woman entrepreneur ‘Shomby Goswami’, wherein it voices out to create and establish clothing with the pursuit of identity for men.

With this initiative and collection alongside, Avalipt wishes to build a concept culture of clothing for men who want to make a difference in society. With iBleed collection, we wish to make sure the men around the world can convey a simple message – it’s just blood! And everyone bleeds. Then why is it so shocking, taboo, or seen as disgusting when it’s menstrual blood? All the sales proceeds will go to an NGO supporting women’s rights.
