Students awarded a cash prize of INR 50,000 for Innovative Solutions to Urban Health Challenges

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 9:  BSS Foundation marked a remarkable culmination with the grand finale of Alchemy 2024 – a National Business Case Study Presentation Competition on 3rd February at Mumbai University, in the esteemed presence of the Guinness World Record Holder Mr. Krishna Prakash – IPS Officer, ADGP Force One as Chief Guest. BSS Foundation, in collaboration with University of Mumbai’s Garware Institute, and SNDT University brought about the convergence of top colleges, business schools, universities, corporate professionals, and market experts, creating a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas and innovation.

Alchemy 2024 aimed to provide a stage for young minds to exhibit their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and innovative approaches to real-world business challenges. The competition underscored the immense talent and creativity residing in the next generation of business leaders.

In the preliminary round, the 18 teams from top colleges across India participated in an online competition, presenting their innovative ideas and business plans related to the case study. Five teams emerged as finalists, each comprising three members, who then advanced to the grand finale.

The grand finale provided a platform for the shortlisted teams to present their case studies to a distinguished jury, showcasing their market strategies, business blueprints, and modern problem-solving methodologies. The winning team of the Thakur College was awarded a grand cash prize of INR 50,000, while the runner-ups of S.M Shetty College received a cash prize of INR 25,000.

Adding to the excitement, BSS Foundation used the event as an opportunity to launch its internal magazine, Meta Muse in the presence of celebrity influencer Ms. Palvi Kadam, curated by students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communication & Design. Jharsuguda (Odisha) [India], January 30: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, has inaugurated 130 Nand Ghars in a ceremony at Jharsuguda. The Nand Ghars are a network of modernised anganwadis supported by Vedanta which function as hubs of women and child development, enabling the accelerated development of local communities. The newly inaugurated Nand Ghars are now set to transform the lives of over 7,000 children in 127 villages within the Jharsuguda district.

The inaugural event was graced by Ms. Dipali Das, MLA, Jharsuguda, Mr. Prabir Kumar Nayak, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, Ms. Punyabati Helen Khes, District Social Welfare Officer, Jharsuguda and Mr Sunil Gupta, COO, Vedanta Aluminium.

The Nand Ghars are also equipped with smart television sets for immersive and standardised education, water purifiers for reliable drinking water, clean toilets to promote community hygiene, and, solar panels to ensure 24X7 electricity. Designed in accordance with the Building As Learning Aid (BALA) approach, the walls of the school building feature engaging and interactive learning resources. Together, they embody an integrated approach to child welfare and women’s empowerment.

The hospital registers 7 child births that include 4 girls and 3 boys

Dr. Dipti patel waives 50 percent bill to celebrate the great day

Surat (Gujarat) [India], January 29: Amidst the joyous celebrations of Ram Lalla Consecration in Surat, Love and Care Hospital witnessed arrival of seven healthy babies! 

The day started like any other but the birth count began to climb steadily. One by one, seven precious bundles of joy came into the world – three bouncing baby boys and four adorable baby girls.

“The atmosphere in the hospital was electric,” said Dr. Dipti Patel, Lead Obstetrician at Love and Care Hospital. “Witnessing the birth of seven healthy babies on such a blessed day was truly an extraordinary experience. It felt like a divine gift to the families.”

The families, ecstatic about their newborns, expressed their gratitude to the dedicated team at Love and Care Hospital. “We are overwhelmed with joy and feel incredibly blessed to welcome our baby girl on this auspicious day,” shared a mother 

As a token of devotion to Ram lalla Dr. Dipti waived 50 percent fee on all seven births.
