  • PM Modi to Head Tree Plantation Drive Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ on World Environment Day

PM Modi to Head Tree Plantation Drive Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ on World Environment Day

New Delhi [India], June 4: PM Modi will inaugurate a major green and urban renewal campaign on June 5, 2025, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts towards sustainable development on World Environment Day. The agenda for the day includes the inauguration of a tree plantation drive as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and the flag-off of 200 electric buses in the country’s capital.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also plant a Banyan sapling at Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park, New Delhi, at about 10:15 AM. The event, powerfully symbolic and deeply rooted in culture, will also directly add to the larger Aravalli Green Wall Project, a pioneering ecological restoration program designed to revive India’s oldest mountain range.

Building India’s Green Spine: The Aravalli Green Wall

The Aravalli Green Wall Project spans a 700-kilometre ambitious extent, covering a 5 km wide buffer zone in 29 districts of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The project aims to address land degradation, enhance green cover, and restore the ecological balance of the Aravalli ecosystem through afforestation, reforestation, and the restoration of water bodies.

Through the enhancement of soil fertility, increased groundwater levels, and enhanced resilience to climate change, the program is likely a pillar supporting India’s mission to combat desertification in the western plains. It also focuses on people’s participation, generating employment opportunities through eco-jobs and encouraging partnerships at the local level with the environment.

The involvement of the Prime Minister is likely to draw national attention to the importance of ecological balance and sustainable environmental action. His participation encourages the culture of “Sabka Prayas”, a united resolve toward sustainable development.

Promoting Green Mobility: 200 E-Buses for Delhi

In a parallel push for clean urban mobility, PM Modi will also flag off 200 electric buses under the Delhi Government’s sustainable transport program. This initiative is part of a larger push to transform Delhi’s public transport into a zero-emission, technologically advanced network, aligning with India’s broader climate targets.

These new electric buses will serve as a green infrastructure model for metropolitan cities. Built for efficiency, accessibility, and environmental sustainability, the fleet is likely to minimise vehicular emissions, reduce air pollution, and be a scalable model for other Indian cities.

The twin emphasis on reforestation and electrification demonstrates the government’s integrated approach to meeting the net-zero emissions goal by 2070. This pledge positions India at the forefront of global climate action.

PM Modi | Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam: A Campaign of Heart and Heritage

The Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, literally ‘A Tree in the Name of Mother,’ encourages every Indian to plant a tree dedicated to their mother, combining ecological activism with emotional appeal.

By attaching a personal value to every plantation, the campaign hopes to activate millions in a grassroots green initiative. The event is not only a ceremonial function by the Prime Minister but also a call to action for all citizens, recalling India’s ancient traditions of living in harmony with the environment. Environmentalists have welcomed the move as both an emotionally appealing and ecologically prudent initiative, especially in light of India’s increasing urban presence and the need to reclaim natural spaces, which is imperative and urgent.

A Unified Step Towards a Sustainable Future

As a duo, the tree plantation and electric bus projects are about to celebrate World Environment Day 2025 with symbolic importance. They are a concrete guarantee of sustainability, social participation, and visionary urban development.

They are also part of larger national strategies, such as the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) and the Green India Mission, aimed at creating a future where growth and protection march hand in hand.

The action reminds us of how the collective habits, including tree planting, adopting clean transport, and preserving nature, can influence the fate of a country.

    Looking Ahead

With PM Modi at the helm of this twin-fold green mission, India is well-positioned to convert symbolic action into sustained environmental change. As citizens, corporates, and communities unite behind these initiatives, World Environment Day 2025 might just be remembered as a turning point in the country’s environmental history.

    Thanking Our Partners

Suhail Khandwani, supporting us for Skill Development and shining the ramp with his humbleness and Positivity.

An ancient tale of Samudra Manthan is not just a story but a symbolic journey of the soul. The churning of the cosmic ocean, initiated by the Devas (gods) and Asuras (demons) in their quest for the elixir of immortality, mirrored the eternal human pursuit of fulfilment and transcendence. It was a representation of our innate desire to seek deeper meaning beyond the superficialities of life.

In today’s context, Samudra Manthan represents the eternal struggle between opposing forces—light and darkness, progress and destruction, ego and humility—within individuals and society. The ocean symbolizes the vast human consciousness, while the mountain and serpent used for churning reflect the tools and challenges we must navigate to bring inner and societal transformation.

Much like the treasures and poisons that emerged from the churning, modern life offers immense potential—technological advancement, creativity, and growth—but also unleashes issues like environmental crises, mental health challenges, and ethical dilemmas. The role of Lord Shiva consuming the poison (halahala) is symbolic of leaders and visionaries today, who must take on burdens to protect and guide humanity.

Ultimately, Samudra Manthan teaches that through collaboration, resilience, and inner balance, we can extract the nectar of wisdom, peace, and innovation from the chaos of our times.

  • EMI vs Rent: Real Estate Leader Annuj Goel Shares Key Insights for Homebuyers

EMI vs Rent: Real Estate Leader Annuj Goel Shares Key Insights for Homebuyers

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], June 3:  As the owner of Goel Ganga Developments, I’m often asked one fundamental question by aspiring homeowners and young professionals alike:
“Annuj, should I buy a home or continue renting?”

It’s a valid concern and one I understand deeply, both as a developer who has delivered thousands of homes across Pune, and as an individual who has personally walked the journey of building assets and creating long-term financial value.

There’s no single answer that fits everyone. But there is clarity once you understand how real estate can transform your financial future.

    Rent: Flexibility Over Ownership

Renting is a practical solution especially when you’re early in your career, changing jobs, or unsure about where life might take you.

    • You can relocate easily.
    • You don’t have to worry about property taxes or maintenance.
    • It’s usually more affordable in the short term.

But here’s the catch: rent is a pure expense. You may be paying ₹25,000–₹40,000 per month, but after 5 years, you don’t own anything. There’s no return, no asset, no appreciation.

Rent buys convenience but not value.

    EMI: Commitment That Builds Wealth

When you pay an EMI, every installment adds to your ownership. Initially, it feels heavier than rent maybe ₹10,000–₹15,000 more per month but the long-term benefits are incomparable.

    • One day, the loan ends. And the home is yours.
    • Real estate typically appreciates in value over time.
    • You build equity with each payment.
    • Owning a home brings stability financially and emotionally.

As Annuj Goel, Managing Director, Goel Ganga, I’ve seen this play out time and again for thousands of our customers across Pune. People who bought homes in our early projects like Ganga Dham, Ganga Satellite, or Ganga Ishanya, are now sitting on significant assets, while renters from that same era have little to show.

Rent or Buy? Here’s My Advice

    You should rent if:

    • You’re still discovering your career path or moving frequently
    • You’re not sure where you want to settle down
    • You need short-term liquidity and lower commitments

    You should buy if:

    • You’ve decided to stay in a city like Pune for the foreseeable future
    • You want to build wealth over the next 10–15 years
    • You have financial stability and can afford a down payment

Real Estate is a Thinking Person’s Game

I’ve been part of this industry for decades. As the owner of Goel Ganga Developments, and through our legacy of building iconic residential and commercial projects, I’ve seen how real estate shapes the fortunes of entire families.

Pune is one of India’s most promising real estate markets. Whether it’s Hinjewadi, NIBM, Koregaon Park, or Kharadi appreciation is real. But only if you own a piece of the pie.

At Goel Ganga, our goal has always been to make quality housing accessible, sustainable, and rewarding. Through thoughtful design, transparency, and timely delivery, we help people take that leap from renting to ownership with confidence.

    Final Thoughts from Annuj Goel

    Rent gives you options.
    EMI gives you ownership.

The initial years may feel tight—but over time, the asset you build becomes a foundation for your future.

Real estate isn’t just about land and buildings it’s about security, stability, and legacy. And as the Goel Ganga Developments owner, I can tell you this: the earlier you start building that legacy, the stronger your future will be.
