    New Delhi [India], March 25: From March 13 to 18, 2025, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall hosted the Fourth Moscow Fashion Week, which has become a significant event in the world of Russian and international fashion. The event brought together leading designers, industry experts, international buyers and fashion connoisseurs, providing a unique platform for sharing ideas, knowledge and creative solutions. Indian designers were particularly well represented, showcasing their unique insights and significant contributions to the global fashion scene.

    As part of the Moscow Fashion Week, shows of collections by Russian and foreign designers were held, which demonstrated the latest trends and innovations in the fashion world. This event showcased a diverse array of collections, including a vibrant display from Indian designers.

These films were screened at the Artplay Design Center as part of the World Fashion Shorts festival. Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association and Member of Parliament, inaugurated the National Maritime Games 2025 today at IMU, Palm Beach Road, Navi Mumbai.

    In her address, Dr. Usha inspired hundreds of maritime cadets and athletes with her words: “True sportsmanship overrides all else.     The grand opening ceremony was graced by an eminent gathering of leaders from the maritime and sporting fraternity. Shyam Jagannath, Director General of Shipping and Deependra Singh Bisen, Deputy Director General of Shipping, led the host dignitaries.     Also present were Namdev Shirgaonkar, Secretary General of the Maharashtra Olympic Association, Captain Girish Phadnis, Competition Director of the Indian Maritime Games and President of the Yachting Association of Maharashtra, and Mrs. Kiran Phadnis, Director of K2K Sports Management, the force behind the event’s planning and execution. Maritime academia was represented by Captain Mihir Chandra, Director of the Indian Maritime University and Captain Vivek Bhandarkar, among other distinguished personalities from the shipping, ports, and logistics sectors.

    The National Maritime Games 2025 features over 20 sporting events including Athletics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom, Cricket, Chess, Golf, Futsal, Pickleball and Indoor Rowing, and continues to be a vibrant platform promoting fitness, sportsmanship and unity across India’s maritime community.

    Dr. Usha is also scheduled to visit the Thakur International Sports Complex on March 24 at 9:00 AM to inaugurate the Swimming and Table Tennis events.

    Four gymnasts of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC) represented Team India in the prestigious FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025 series. While Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswarnath Das represented India in the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category, Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajput represented in the Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category.

    In the Senior MAG category, Tapan Mohanty cleared the qualifying round and stood at eighth position in the finals with a score of 8.933 in the Floor Exercise/ Still Rings event held in Baku, Azerbaijan which was held from March 6 to 9, 2025. The Senior WAG category was held in Antalya, Turkey from March 20 to 23, 2025 where Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajput represented Team India in Vault and Balance Beam respectively. With a score of 13.317, Pranati Nayak cleared the qualifying round subsequently advancing to the final round in Vault.
