Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], March 24: The Satyajit Ray Auditorium at ICCR Kolkata was painted with vibrant hues of dance and modern puppetry show on Saturday as the International Performing Arts Festival ( IPAF) unfolded its 6^th edition for the city. The festival, which has been the cornerstone for artistic expression in India, Captivated the audience with a diverse array of performances.

The day commenced with lighting of the lamp by Shri. Ghanshyam Sharma, CMD, Hindustan Copper, Shri R N Goswami, director ICCR & Shri Shyam Pandey, Founder & Director, IPAF.  The festival was attended by several prominent figure from Kolkata Senior Citizens, prominent artists, music lovers.

A visual spectacle from Kolkata’s premier Dolls Theatre, led by Sudip Gupta, mesmerized the audience with its fusion of traditional and modern puppetry. Featuring Taming of the Wild, performance highlighted urgent need for environmental preservation.

The evening witnessed a captivating Kathak performance by Dr. Khushboo Panchal from Ujjain. Renowned for her graceful movements and soulful expression, Khushboo’s Kathak performance was a delightful fusion of rhythm and storytelling. Her intricate footwork and hand gestures conveyed the very essence of the dance form, drawing the audience into its beauty and depth.

Dr. Panchal’s performance of Shiva Stuti transported the audience to the divine realm of Lord Shiva, with her elegant portrayal capturing the spirit of devotion and reverence. Known for her energy, precision, and mastery of Kathak, Dr. Panchal left the audience spellbound. Her graceful movements and expressive storytelling captivated everyone in attendance, offering a powerful display of Kathak’s rich tradition.

Shayomita’s graceful choreography, rooted in the ancient Odissi techniques, beautifully embodied the themes of strength, devotion, and spiritual awakening. Her performance was a testament to the timeless nature of Odissi dance, captivating the audience with its depth and beauty. This mesmerizing performance featured two powerful compositions: Shankaravaranam Pallavi & Vande Mataram.

Pallika, a disciple of Smt. Paramita Maitra, showcased her remarkable talent and dedication to the art form. As an exemplary young artist, she is instrumental in keeping the tradition of Kathak alive through her graceful and expressive performances, earning admiration from all who witnessed her artistry.

The IPAF is a prestigious annual event that celebrates the diversity and richness of classical dance launched in 20215 in Ahmedabad, IPAF has been instrumental in providing platform for talented artists from across the country to showcase their skill and connect with audience. The festival is dedicated to organizing performance in state capital and cities with special cultural significance rich artistic heritage and vibrant cultural scene.

In a historic moment that strengthens the cultural and historical ties between Balochistan and India, Colonel(Honorary) Parvati Jangid Suthar,CGIM has been conferred with the esteemed Award of Balochi Dastar, Balochistan’s highest civilian honor. Ms. Jangid further emphasized the critical need to protect ancient Hindu temples and cultural sites in Balochistan, which have been threatened by Pakistani terrorism. She voiced her hopes for the eventual liberation of Pakistan-Occupied Balochistan and the restoration of India’s rightful control over Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, reaffirming her commitment to supporting both Balochistan and Indian Kashmiris in their struggles for justice and sovereignty. Miss Jangid also demanded that the arrest of Baloch activist Dr. Mehrang Baloch by the Pakistani army is unjust. Raising one’s voice for rights is not a crime; rather, it is a fundamental right of every individual. The entire world is aware of Pakistan’s illegal occupation of Balochistan, where the Baloch people have been subjected to injustice for a long time. In such a situation, Pakistan should immediately grant independence to Balochistan so that its people can determine their own future and exercise their rights freely.

Col(Hony.) Parvati Jangid Suthar, originally from Gagaria, a village along the India-Pakistan border, now resides in Delhi and serves as the Chairperson of the Youth Parliament of India. She has been instrumental in numerous welfare projects for security forces, driven by her core mission: Surakshit Seema – Samrudh Bharat, “Secure Borders – Prosperous Bharat.” Recently, she was recognized as one of the world’s top 100 most influential women.

Shree Ahimsa Naturals Limited Company commenced its operations in 1990 and is presently engaged in the extraction of Caffeine, Anhydrous Natural, Green Coffee Bean Extracts (GCE) and Crude Caffeine, along with trading of other herbal extracts. Its products find their application in the food & beverage, nutraceuticals, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries due to their health benefits. The Company primarily processes crude caffeine procured from multiple decaffeination plants situated in Vietnam, Mexico, etc. The company’s primary raw material, crude caffeine, is a bi-product of such decaffeination plants. They further process crude caffeine to extract Green Coffee Beans Extracts (GCE) and Caffeine Anhydrous Natural. Initially, the Company’s business focused solely on the extraction, manufacturing, and sale of Caffeine Anhydrous Natural. Through further research and development on crude caffeine sourced from certain suppliers, the Company discovered that it contained GCE. To capitalize on this opportunity, the company developed a process to extract GCE from the crude caffeine and subsequently added GCE to its product portfolio in 2018. Additionally, in response to the growing demand for other herbal extracts from its customers, the company expanded its product portfolio to include various herbal extracts in the year 2021. Since the year 2022, the company has started manufacturing Crude Caffeine from Tea waste and Coffee waste, which is sold in the open market and used for captive consumption. The Company is an Export Oriented Unit. Its operations are primarily export-focused, and presently, it is supplying its products to over 14 countries, including the USA, Germany, South Korea, the UK, Thailand, etc. The manufacturing unit is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Financial Performance:

On the financial performance front, for the last three fiscals, the company has posted a total income/net profit of Rs. 58.94 cr. / Rs.11.02. cr. (FY22), Rs. 106.14 cr. / Rs. 38.21 cr. (FY23), and Rs. 78.70 cr. / Rs. 18.67 cr. (FY24). For H1 of FY25 ended on September 30, 2024, it earned a net profit of Rs. 9.74 cr. on a total income of Rs. 41.37 cr.

For the reported periods, the company has posted PAT margins of 18.99% (FY22), 36.69% (FY23), 23.91%, (FY24), 23.93% (H1-FY25), and RoCE margins of 48.83%, 72.46%, 25.69%, 12.59% for the referred periods, respectively.
