Shree Shakti Seva Kendra to launch statewide campaign against child begging on May 1

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], May 1: Shree Shakti Seva Kendra, a social organization working for the welfare of underprivileged children in Ambaji, will launch a statewide awareness campaign titled “Child Begging-Free Gujarat” on May 1, coinciding with Gujarat Foundation Day.

The campaign aims to drive long-term social change by moving beyond sympathy and focusing on education and rehabilitation for children involved in begging. The initiative was announced on Thursday at Shree Shakti Convention Centre in Ahmedabad, in the presence of prominent personalities and social leaders from various fields.

The central message of the campaign is that every child deserves a classroom, not the streets. Through a series of public awareness initiatives, Shree Shakti Seva Kendra aims to encourage citizens to play an active role in helping children move away from begging and towards education and a life of dignity.

As part of Gujarat’s 66th Foundation Day celebrations, 66 prominent personalities from across the state, including professionals, industrialists and people from public life, will share 20-30 second video messages in support of the campaign. These messages will be released across social media platforms to encourage public participation and inspire collective action.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Usha Agrawal, Founder of Shree Shakti Seva Kendra, said, “This has been a deeply meaningful and spiritual journey for us. What began as a small effort to help a few children has today grown into a movement that has transformed hundreds of lives. Over the years, we have seen children who once begged on the streets go on to pursue higher education and become successful professionals and athletes. These examples show that change is possible when society takes responsibility.”

She added, “We believe every child has the right to learn, grow and dream. Through the ‘Child Begging-Free Gujarat’ campaign, we want to build a collective movement where no child is forced to beg. We appeal to people to contribute in whatever way they can, whether by supporting education, spreading awareness or discouraging the practice of giving alms. Our goal is to help children move from ‘bhiksha’ to ‘shiksha’. The support we have received so far has been extremely encouraging.”

Shree Shakti Seva Kendra has been working in Ambaji since 2011 and has provided shelter, nutrition and education to more than 200 children. What began as a modest initiative has evolved into a structured support system focused on building confidence and aspirations among children.

One of the organisation’s most notable initiatives is the formation of Gujarat’s first tribal girls’ bagpiper band, comprising children who were once involved in begging. The band has performed before the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries, symbolising the transformative impact of the organisation’s work. Children associated with the organisation, including members of the band, were also present at the event.

Alongside its work with underprivileged children, the organisation has also focused on women’s empowerment and has helped more than 350 women become self-reliant through skills such as tailoring, diya-making and incense stick production.

Shree Shakti Seva Kendra remains committed to reaching more children in the future while continuing to strengthen women’s empowerment initiatives. The organisation is working towards setting up new training centres in Tharad and another location to help more women achieve financial independence.

Through the ‘Child Begging-Free Gujarat’ campaign, Shree Shakti Seva Kendra aims to inspire a broader public movement and collectively build a Gujarat where no child is left behind.

  • Build Scalable Businesses with Systems: Basesh Gala’s ‘Business Booster with AI’ Workshop Comes to Ahmedabad

Build Scalable Businesses with Systems: Basesh Gala’s ‘Business Booster with AI’ Workshop Comes to Ahmedabad

New Delhi [India], May 1: Renowned business coach and entrepreneur, Basesh Gala, is bringing his transformative Business Booster with AI workshop to Ahmedabad, designed to help business owners move from struggle to scalable growth.

The 1-day workshop, hosted at Renaissance Hotel, Ahmedabad, aims to bring together entrepreneurs, traders, manufacturers and growth-minded business owners for a practical learning experience focused on systems, profitability and modern business scaling.

Unlike conventional motivational seminars, this workshop focuses on solving real business challenges.

The event speaks to a specific founder. The one whose lakhs or crore business is thriving, but only because they’re working 80-hour weeks and personally approving every decision. The trader with strong sales instincts but no repeatable system. The manufacturer hearing about AI and automation everywhere, but unsure how it applies to inventory, cash flow, or team scaling. The business owner who knows something’s broken but can’t identify what.

Most business events tell you to work harder. This one focuses on something more practical, building systems, using automation, understanding numbers, and making businesses run better without constant founder involvement. These are not theories, but real outcomes that come when entrepreneurs move beyond hustle and start building structured businesses. The event is designed to help create that shift.

Before becoming known among Indian entrepreneurs, Basesh Gala built a successful Wall Street career, rising to become one of the youngest Vice Presidents globally. A larger question brought him back to India: why do some businesses scale while others stay stuck? That question became a mission, leading him to mentor over 100,000 entrepreneurs and support 40+ IPO journeys.

That philosophy shapes Business Booster with AI. Through discussions on systems thinking, delegation, automation and enterprise-building, the workshop encourages entrepreneurs to think beyond running a business and toward building one that can scale.

Basesh Gala often speaks of empowering 1.08 crore entrepreneurs and mentoring 108 billionaire RISEpreneurs, a vision that reflects the scale at which he thinks.

As Gala says, “Businesses do not stop growing because opportunities are limited. They stop growing when systems fail to evolve. My mission is to help entrepreneurs build businesses that can scale beyond founder dependence.”

In a business world crowded with motivational advice, systems are the rarest commodity. Business Booster delivers that.

The question worth asking isn’t whether you should attend the event. The question worth asking is: How much longer can your business stay profitable without becoming scalable? How many more years of personal hustle until you hit the ceiling? And when that ceiling much of your growth opportunity will already be gone?

Because the entrepreneurs who scale aren’t the ones with more talent or more work hours. They’re the ones who, at some point, stopped working in their business and started working on it by building the right team and systems.

The timing of that realization often determines the trajectory of everything that follows.

  • From Algorithm to Atmosphere: The Rise of Priya Tummidi as India’s New-Age Event Strategist

From Algorithm to Atmosphere: The Rise of Priya Tummidi as India’s New-Age Event Strategist

Tummidi Priyanka — known professionally as Priya Tummidi — is redefining how events are built, marketed, and remembered by fusing engineering precision with experiential creativity.

New Delhi [India], May 1: Long before “data-driven creativity” became a boardroom buzzword, Tummidi Priyanka — known widely across industry and creative circles as Priya Tummidi — was already living it. A former software engineer with a background at Google and a parallel life behind the DJ booth, Priya occupies a rare intersection: the analytical and the emotional, the measurable and the memorable.

Her story is not one of abandoning technology for passion. It is one of the convergences.

    Engineering Instinct, Creative Intent

Priya’s formative years in software engineering gave her something most event professionals lack — a systems mindset. At Google, she was trained to think in structures, solve problems at scale, and interrogate outcomes with precision. But she was also spending evenings reading rooms, reading audiences, and understanding what makes a crowd feel something. That dual fluency became her founding advantage.

When she identified a persistent gap in the events and entertainment space — campaigns that reached broadly but connected shallowly — she didn’t pivot away from data. She weaponised it. The result was Catapult, a marketing and event promotion venture built on the premise that great experiences are as much engineered as they are imagined.

    What Catapult Gets Right

At the core of Catapult’s model is a belief that audience behaviour, cultural context, and real-time feedback are not peripheral inputs — they are the campaign itself. Priya Tummidi’s approach treats each event not as a one-time execution but as a living strategy that evolves based on what the data reveals. This dynamic method has allowed her to build campaigns that resonate beyond the night itself, creating lasting brand recall for the artists and companies she partners with.

With over 500 events spanning club launches, food experiences, entertainment showcases, and emerging artist platforms, Catapult has established a track record that speaks not just to volume, but to consistency of impact. Each engagement reflects a deliberate commitment to personalisation — moving against the tide of templated promotion that dominates the industry.

    Leading With Curiosity

Priya’s approach to leadership mirrors her approach to events: adaptive, listening-first, and outcome-oriented. She has spoken openly about the role of agility in her growth, noting that the ability to recalibrate in real time is as valuable as any long-term plan. Within her team, she cultivates a culture of experimentation anchored by accountability — giving people room to take creative risks while staying tied to results.

This philosophy has helped Catapult build internal resilience in an industry where audience expectations shift almost as fast as algorithms do.

    Recognition That Reflects Methodology

Industry recognition has followed Priya Tummidi’s trajectory at a consistent pace — to date, she has received 16 awards spanning excellence in event promotion, branding, and entrepreneurial leadership. Among the most notable is the Most Effective Event Promotion Company of the Year at the Outlook Business Spotlight Entity Awards — 2024, presented by Business Mint. Her work has also earned feature placement in publications including WKND India, adding national media visibility to a profile already well-decorated within industry circles.

For Priya, these 16 recognitions are not destinations but data points — signals that the methodology is working, and that the market is ready for an event professional who thinks like an engineer and feels like an artist.

    The Road Ahead

Looking forward, Priya Tummidi sees the future of events as deeply experiential and technologically augmented — but always human at its core. She advocates for professionals in the space to stay genuinely curious about emerging tools while never losing sight of what drives people to gather: the desire to feel something together.

In a landscape crowded with noise, Priya’s signal is clear. She does not build events to be seen. She builds them to be felt — and remembered.

The approval marks a significant milestone for the execution of the second phase for the company’s Anuppur power plant. Post this nod, the transitional energy power project will now proceed to the next stage, which includes detailed engineering and execution planning, subject to applicable approvals.

Hindustan Power had commissioned the first phase of the project – aggregating to 1,200 MW – between 2015 and 2016. The project has since played an important role in boosting the region’s power infrastructure with long-term capacity creation.

Ratul Puri, Chairman at Hindustan Power, while speaking about this development mentioned: “We are pleased to receive the necessary approval for the proposed 2x800MW project from MoEF. The Anuppur project represents a significant portion of our portfolio and we now aim for the timely and successful completion of Phase II that will significantly increase our overall capacity.”

Ratul Puriadded, “The ambitious Anuppur project reflects our commitment to support India’s power infrastructure and economic growth. Reliable transitional energy continues to play a critical role in ensuring stable supply, meeting rising demand and strengthening the country’s long-term energy security.”

Ratul Puri emphasized, “As energy transition gains momentum, state of the art projects like the one in Anuppur, with utmost regard for environment safety, will play an important role in the overall energy mix. • India’s Waste Problem Was Always an Energy Opportunity – Organic Recycling Systems Saw It First!

India’s Waste Problem Was Always an Energy Opportunity – Organic Recycling Systems Saw It First!

Organic Recycling Systems has spent 18 years converting municipal solid waste, one of the hardest feedstocks in bioenergy, into clean fuel. As India mandates CBG blending across its gas networks, that depth of experience is becoming its most valuable asset.

New Delhi [India], April 30: India generates over 62-72 million tonnes of municipal solid waste every year. Most of it rots in open dumps. A company from Navi Mumbai has spent 18 years turning that problem into an energy solution, and is only now beginning to get the attention it deserves.

Organic Recycling Systems Limited started as a waste management firm. Today, it has transitioned into an integrated CleanTech and decarbonisation platform, converting agricultural waste, energy crops, and organic fraction of municipal waste into compressed biogas (CBG) and value-added products. The shift is not just in branding. In 2013, the company commissioned the first anaerobic digestion-based integrated MSW valorisation facility in Solapur, Maharashtra, at a time when most of the sector was still figuring out what was possible.

Sarang Bhand, the Promoter and Managing Director who has led the company since its inception, frames the opportunity in stark terms.

Every tonne of municipal waste that goes into a landfill is a tonne of clean energy that India has to import instead. That is the equation we are trying to change.

      — Sarang Bhand, Promoter & MD, ORSL

MSW is among the most complex feedstocks in the bioenergy value chain – heterogeneous, seasonally variable, and unforgiving of process errors. ORSL’s 18 years on this feedstock, across multiple states and project types, is reflected in its technology stack: 2 patents, 5+ proprietary technologies, and 7+ innovations currently in its R&D pipeline.

ORSL serves leading clients such as Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat Petroleum, along with municipal corporations across the country. It has formal research partnerships with IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, and was recently awarded a DBT-BIRAC grant of Rs 1.86 crore to develop India’s first BIO-CCU platform, a system that captures CO₂ from biogas plants and converts it into value-added fuels, in collaboration with both IITs. The company was listed on the BSE SME platform in 2023.

India’s National Biofuels Coordination Committee has mandated 1% CBG blending in CNG and PNG networks from FY 2025-26, rising to 5 per cent by FY 2028-29.[2]For ORSL, 18 years of converting waste into energy may prove to be its most durable advantage.

  • Building With Intent: The Quiet Rise of Kalyan Sangavarapu in Hyderabad’s Evolving Infrastructure Landscape

Building With Intent: The Quiet Rise of Kalyan Sangavarapu in Hyderabad’s Evolving Infrastructure Landscape

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 1: In a city defined by rapid expansion and relentless construction, few narratives stand out for their restraint and clarity of purpose. Kalyan Sangavarapu, Managing Director of Silver Star Infra Contract & Developers, represents a distinct voice within Hyderabad’s infrastructure ecosystem one that places equal emphasis on execution, environmental sensitivity, and institutional navigation. His journey reflects not a pursuit of scale alone, but a considered effort to redefine how urban spaces are imagined and delivered.

    Foundations Rooted In Experience

Kalyan’s entry into the construction sector was neither incidental nor purely opportunistic. It emerged from a sustained engagement with on-ground realities, where early exposure to project execution shaped his understanding of the industry’s operational complexities. This hands-on beginning laid the groundwork for what would become Silver Star Infra Contract & Developers, a firm built on the principles of quality, accountability, and long-term value creation.

At a time when infrastructure growth in Hyderabad accelerated alongside policy and administrative evolution, Kalyan identified a critical gap. Construction, he observed, was as much about navigating systems as it was about building structures. His parallel expertise in liaisoning, often an overlooked yet decisive aspect of project delivery, became a defining strength, enabling smoother approvals and timely execution.

    The Strategic Role Of Liaisoning

Within India’s layered regulatory environment, liaisoning is not merely procedural but strategic. Kalyan has developed a nuanced understanding of administrative frameworks, enabling effective coordination with government departments and senior offices responsible for approvals and clearances. This capability has allowed projects under Silver Star Infra to move with greater predictability, reducing delays that often hinder the sector. By aligning compliance with execution timelines, liaisoning becomes an integral extension of project management rather than a separate function, reinforcing both efficiency and credibility.

    A Differentiated Approach To Development

Silver Star Infra operates at the intersection of construction, contracting, and regulatory facilitation. Yet its distinguishing feature lies in its approach to development. Rather than treating sustainability as an afterthought, the firm integrates eco-conscious planning into the earliest stages of design and execution. Green spaces, open layouts, and environmentally responsive elements are not aesthetic additions but structural considerations.

This integrated model has resonated with a diverse clientele, including individual property owners, developers, and businesses seeking reliability in both construction quality and administrative processes. In an industry often marked by fragmentation, the ability to offer end-to-end solutions spanning execution and approvals has contributed to the company’s steady reputation.

    Navigating Challenges With Clarity

Balancing construction demands with sustainable practices presents inherent tensions. Cost pressures, regulatory complexities, and evolving environmental expectations require a calibrated approach. For Kalyan, these challenges have been instructive rather than limiting. By fostering strong relationships across administrative networks and adopting practical, scalable eco-friendly solutions, he has managed to align efficiency with environmental responsibility.

The emphasis has remained consistent: deliver projects that meet structural standards while also contributing to a broader ecological context. This dual focus has not only ensured timely completions but also reinforced client trust, reflected in repeat engagements and referrals.

Leadership Shaped By Continuity And Vision

Kalyan’s leadership style is marked by direct involvement and disciplined oversight. Rather than delegating responsibility at a distance, he remains actively engaged in project lifecycles, ensuring alignment between intent and outcome. This continuity has allowed Silver Star Infra to maintain operational consistency even as it expands its scope.

Looking ahead, his vision extends beyond incremental growth. The aim is to position the company as a credible force in green and sustainable construction, capable of undertaking larger and more complex projects without compromising its foundational principles. Expansion, in this context, is not merely about scale but about deepening impact.

Towards A More Considered Built Environment

As Indian cities continue to evolve, the conversation around infrastructure is gradually shifting from quantity to quality, from speed to sustainability. Within this transition, practitioners like Kalyan Sangavarapu offer a grounded perspective one that recognises the importance of durability, regulatory alignment, and environmental stewardship.

His journey underscores a broader insight: that meaningful development is not defined solely by what is built, but by how it is conceived and sustained over time. In an industry often driven by immediacy, this measured approach may well shape the contours of a more responsible urban future.
