IDT Students Showcase Unique Creativity in Surat: Futuristic Tree Based on “Future is Now” Theme Becomes Major Attraction Lippan Art Workshop Held on 22 February; Bandhej Workshop Scheduled for 28 February

Surat (Gujarat) [India], February 24:  Students of IDT – Institute of Design and Technology have created a unique and thought-provoking sculpture under the Dumas Art Festival based on the theme “Future is Now.” The installation beautifully represents the deep connection between nature and technology in the present era. This special artistic creation is currently on display at VR Surat until 28 February, where it has become a major attraction for visitors.

The Futuristic Tree, developed after nearly one month of dedicated effort by a team of around 10 students, conveys the concept that nature and technology are inseparably interconnected. The sculpture reflects the idea that technology is no longer separate from human life but has become an integral part of our ecosystem.

Inspired by the vision of “Future is Now,” the installation symbolizes the harmony between nature and modern innovation. Its design highlights the message that the future is not a distant imagination but a present reality, where technology plays a significant role in shaping our environment, lifestyle, and thought processes.

The project was developed under the guidance of faculty member Mr. Sameer Dave. The primary objective of this initiative was to encourage students to develop innovative thinking and express contemporary themes through artistic mediums. Visitors have widely appreciated this unique installation, describing it as a powerful and immersive visual experience. The sculpture invites citizens to explore the relationship between the future, nature, and technology from a fresh perspective.

  • Navrachana University Hosts AI DAY 2026 to Promote Practical Understanding of Artificial Intelligence

Navrachana University Hosts AI DAY 2026 to Promote Practical Understanding of Artificial Intelligence

Navrachana University hosts AI Day 2026 to foster practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence

Vadodara (Gujarat) [India], February 24: At a time when Artificial Intelligence is being discussed at the highest national forums, Navrachana University’s Centre for Interdisciplinary Computing Science (CICS), in collaboration with AtliQ Technologies, hosted AI DAY 2026 — a full-day initiative aimed at fostering practical understanding and informed adoption of AI. The event, themed AI Beyond Theory, focused on separating measurable value from hype and encouraging clarity-led implementation.

Held from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Navrachana University campus, the event witnessed participation from more than 200 founders, business owners, technology leaders, engineers, analysts, and students. Rather than limiting the engagement to tool demonstrations, the sessions addressed critical implementation questions — where AI delivers measurable impact, where automation suffices, how organisations should assess return on investment, and how to avoid unnecessary complexity.

The keynote sessions were conducted in association with AtliQ Technologies and Codebasics. Dhaval Patel, co-founder of Codebasics and a widely followed data and AI educator with over 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube, led the sessions. Emphasising clarity over complexity, he highlighted that sustainable AI adoption begins with foundational understanding and structured thinking rather than pursuing advanced tools without context. The sessions focused on practical use cases, structured decision-making frameworks, and measurable outcome-oriented implementation approaches.

Prof. Sandeep Vasant, Director, Centre for Interdisciplinary Computing Science (CICS), said – “There is often discussion about a technology gap, but equally important is the human gap — the ability and willingness to adapt. While AI is augmenting human capabilities, the human-in-the-loop will always remain pivotal. Those who choose not to engage with it meaningfully may find themselves left behind. History offers perspective — when computers were first introduced, similar concerns were raised about replacement. Instead, humans became integral to their effective use. Artificial Intelligence may reshape certain roles or reduce routine tasks, but it cannot replace human contribution when individuals are equipped and prepared to integrate it thoughtfully. Ultimately, AI will reward those who adapt alongside it.”

Throughout the day, discussions progressed from applied AI scenarios and implementation misconceptions to cost-versus-benefit assessments and models for long-term integration. Emphasis was laid on bridging both technological and human readiness gaps, ensuring that adoption strengthens rather than replaces human judgment.

About the Centre for Interdisciplinary Computing Science (CICS)

Established to promote interdisciplinary computing research and applied innovation, CICS serves as Navrachana University’s dedicated platform for advancing emerging technologies through industry engagement and practical implementation. The Centre focuses on bridging engineering, analytics, and business domains to deliver scalable and socially relevant technology solutions.

Among its notable initiatives is Alg AI, a project oriented toward real-world artificial intelligence applications and implementation models. Through structured research, collaboration, and industry integration, CICS aims to strengthen India’s evolving technology ecosystem by preparing professionals who can translate advanced computing concepts into measurable outcomes.

Over the years, CNS has earned multiple national recognitions, including #1 rankings for Campus Architecture and Design, Design Thinking Leadership, and Professional Development Excellence. Its Mumbai campus has been named the Best School in India in the ‘Great Schools to Work With’ International School category, while the Pune campus was recognised as the Most Promising School with Modern Infrastructure.

The opening of CNS Indore addresses a long-standing aspiration among parents in the region who seek global curricula and future-ready education without the need to relocate to metro cities or send children to boarding schools. The new campus offers an academically rigorous yet balanced learning environment designed to meet the evolving expectations of modern families.

CNS Indore introduces the proposed International Cambridge curriculum, which focuses on conceptual clarity, critical thinking, and real-world application rather than rote learning. Students benefit from the same academic framework, faculty training standards, and quality benchmarks that have shaped the school’s Mumbai and Pune campuses, ensuring consistency in learning outcomes and global preparedness.

At the heart of Chatrabhuj Narsee School’s philosophy is a four-pillar learning approach—learning to learn, learning to do, learning to be, and learning to live in peace and harmony. This holistic framework supports not only academic achievement but also emotional intelligence, independence, and responsible citizenship.

Speaking on the expansion, Mr. Sujay Jairaj, Chairperson of Chatrabhuj Narsee School, said, “Indore represents ambition and potential. Our aim is to ensure that students here receive the same quality of education and global exposure as students in major international cities, while staying rooted in strong values.”

Mrs. Minal Thacker, Trustee and member of the founding leadership, added, “Our teaching practices are internationally aligned, but our values are deeply Indian. Education at CNS is about preparing children for life, beyond academics.”

Developed in collaboration with BCM Group, a trusted name in the region, the Indore campus has been thoughtfully planned to support student wellbeing and experiential learning. The campus features flexible classrooms, collaborative spaces, and an accessible location designed to reduce long daily commutes for families.

Admissions are now open at Chatrabhuj Narsee School Indore from Early Years 1 (Nursery) to Grade 7 for the upcoming academic year. Parents are encouraged to visit the campus to better understand the school’s learning philosophy, curriculum, and facilities.

Established in 2015, Chatrabhuj Narsee School is a Cambridge-accredited institution known for its blended learning model and commitment to holistic, values-based education. Guided by its Pentagon Model of Development, CNS continues to set benchmarks for international schooling in India.
