Programs Offered

Master’s in Computational Design and Fabrication (MCDF): The Master’s in Computational Design and Fabrication (MCDF) program nurtures designers who can conceptualise form, explore materials, and adopt cutting-edge fabrication processes to develop contemporary design solutions. Rooted in computational design, this program extends across multiple domains — from product design to built-environment, and operates at diverse scales, ranging from furniture to building envelope systems.

CEPT is uniquely positioned to offer this program, where students will be mentored by academics and practitioners from the fields of design, technology, and architecture. The University also recently signed an MoU with Chennai-based Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a deep-tech startup that specialises in construction 3D printing. Through this collaboration, the University will establish an advanced additive manufacturing workshop on its campus, marking a meaningful contribution to India’s pursuit of future-ready construction technologies.

Master’s in Furniture Design (MFD): The Master’s in Furniture Design program focuses on training professionals to actively engage ​with the rapidly growing furniture industry. The Indian furniture market has been positively impacted by increasing urbanization, a younger demographic, rising disposable incomes and the growth of the office and hospitality sectors amongst others.

The program considers various propositions and considerations in the furniture sector, from online markets to rental offerings, from the mass manufacturing ecosystems of large industries to the scaled productions of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME’s), from the expanding role of the furniture designer as a professional to that of an entrepreneur.

Overall, this program will equip students with the essential technical skills, design abilities, and specialized domain knowledge, while focusing on developing a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, techniques and technologies, prototyping, ergonomics, aesthetics, material connections, detailing, structuring systems, economics, characteristics (such as modular, flatpack, etc.), and typologies. The program encourages visits to industries, manufacturing units, trade fairs, and exhibitions.

Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 14: The IEEE Computer Society, Galgotias University Student Branch Chapter has been awarded the Best Computer Society Chapter in India at the prestigious All India Computer Society Student & Young Professionals Congress 2025 (AICSSYC 2025) held at Kolkata. The chapter secured 1st place in the national “Battle of Chapters”, based on their innovative technical activities, community involvement and excellent leadership. Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 12: Galgotias University has achieved another milestone, as one of its alumni and former Army Wing NCC cadet, Priyanshu Dixit, has been commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Three Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army, at the Passing Out Parade held at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, on 7 March 2026.

Priyanshu Dixit, an Ex Army Wing Cadet of the NCC (National Cadet Corps) Batch 2020, 40 UP Battalion NCC and a student at the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, was widely respected among his peers and mentors for his strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and leadership. During his time at Galgotias University, he served as Senior Under Officer (SUO), the highest rank held by an NCC cadet. He was always a fitness enthusiast, fond of sports, and maintained a high level of physical fitness.

From the beginning of his educational life, he showed a strong interest in joining the Indian Army to serve the nation. Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s most respected military leader, was his inspiration, and he always aspired to follow in his footsteps. His parents supported him in pursuing this dream.

Galgotias University has developed a strong NCC ecosystem where cadets regularly participate in national-level events such as the Republic Day Camp (RDC) and ceremonial parades. In 2022, six cadets (5 male, 1 female) were selected for RDC. In 2023, five cadets (3 male, 2 female) represented the university. Six-month, CTEL-led programme blends machine learning, deep learning and generative AI with hands-on projects and a three-day campus immersion.

New Delhi [India], March 12: As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes how organisations build products, manage risk, serve customers and run operations, the need for professionals who can design, deploy and govern intelligent systems has accelerated. Delhi Technological University (DTU, New Delhi), in collaboration with TimesPro, has announced the inaugural batch of the Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence, aimed at learners seeking strong conceptual grounding alongside practical, job-relevant capability.

Anchored by DTU’s Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL), the six-month programme extends DTU’s academic strengths into a technology-enabled format that supports rigorous learning at scale. CTEL’s mandate centres on delivering accessible, learner-centric digital programmes that remain contemporary, industry-aligned and outcomes-driven.

The Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence builds a structured pathway across Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI, with an emphasis on responsible development and real-world performance. Learners engage with applied problem-solving across domains such as healthcare, finance, marketing, engineering and analytics, translating theory into solutions that can be evaluated, improved and deployed in practice.

Participants gain hands-on exposure to machine learning tools, algorithms and industrial use cases, while building and deploying ML models and implementing core neural-network architectures, including CNNs, RNNs and LSTMs, from the ground up. The curriculum also introduces advanced methods such as Generative AI, GANs, VAEs and GNNs and supports end-to-end AI system design using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch and other widely used libraries.

The market signals are unequivocal. UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) projects the global AI market will rise from USD 189 billion (2023) to USD 4.8 trillion by 2033, highlighting the scale and speed of AI-led growth. McKinsey’s latest global survey also reports 88% of organisations now use AI in at least one business function, up from 78% a year earlier, evidence that adoption is normalising across sectors. In India, NASSCOM projects the AI talent pool will grow from roughly 6–6.5 lakh professionals to over 12.5 lakh by 2027, at a 15% CAGR, reinforcing the need for structured, industry-ready upskilling.

New Delhi [India], March 11: CEPT University has announced admissions to its doctoral programs across the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Planning, and Faculty of Technology, offering aspiring researchers an opportunity to pursue advanced research in the built environment while benefiting from scholarships, fellowships, stipends, and teaching opportunities.

Administered by the University’s Doctoral Office, the PhD programs aim to prepare scholars for advanced academic and professional research, contributing to the creation of new knowledge in fields related to architecture, planning, technology, and the broader urban domain.

The doctoral programs at CEPT University are designed to develop strong capabilities in research methodology, critical thinking, academic writing, publishing, and scholarly communication through a combination of structured coursework and independent research.

Duration and Coursework

The optimum duration of the PhD program is four and a half years. The first year of the program is dedicated to full-time coursework residency, during which scholars engage in rigorous academic training and are also provided opportunities to participate in teaching and professional research activities on campus.

Following the completion of coursework, scholars appear for qualifying examinations that assess their competency in the discipline and chosen area of specialisation. Upon successfully clearing the examinations, scholars are awarded the status of PhD candidate and are required to prepare a research proposal within one semester. The remaining period of the program is devoted to completing the doctoral dissertation under the guidance of a Dissertation Advisory Committee.

Ten Scholarships and Fellowships Available 

To support doctoral scholars in pursuing research, CEPT University offers ten doctoral research scholarships and fellowships, providing financial assistance and research support.

Doctoral Research Fellowship – Faculty of Technology (CRDF–CARBSE)

Applicants to the doctoral program in the Faculty of Technology, specifically in the stream of Building Energy Performance (BEP), are eligible to apply for the Doctoral Research Fellowship offered under the PhD Support Program instituted by the CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) through the Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy (CARBSE). Two fellowships are available under this provision.

This fellowship provides complete financial support for the entire duration of the doctoral studies (subject to periodic review), along with technical assistance, research mentorship, and infrastructure support. Selected scholars will also be appointed as Doctoral Research Fellows at CARBSE, enabling them to work closely with researchers and faculty on advanced building science and energy research.

Doctoral Research Fellowship – Faculty of Planning (CUPDF)

The CEPT Urban Planning and Design Foundation (CUPDF), a Centre of Excellence under CEPT University, offers Doctoral Research Fellowships to scholars pursuing doctoral research in the Faculty of Planning. Five fellowships are offered under this category.

The fellowship includes coverage of the doctoral program registration fee and a monthly stipend ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 for the first two years, depending on the candidate’s prior experience. Continuation of the fellowship beyond this period is subject to performance review and approval by the Centre.

President’s Scholarship

Applicants across the doctoral programs (other than the recipients of the CUPDF and CARBSE fellowships) are eligible for the President’s Scholarship, which is based on their performance in the admission entrance exams.  This scholarship provides a monthly stipend of ₹40,000 during the coursework residency period, subject to review after the first semester and the University’s discretion. Three scholarships are available under this category, with one position in each faculty.

In addition to these fellowships and scholarships, doctoral scholars may also have the opportunity to work on campus as teaching associates, research associates, or tutors, depending on availability and program requirements. These roles enable scholars to gain valuable teaching experience while pursuing their doctoral research and are compensated as per the University’s norms.

New Delhi [India], March 10: India’s cities are entering a redevelopment-led phase of urban transformation, where the focus is shifting from outward expansion to creative redevelopment, infrastructure retrofitting, and compact, transit-oriented growth.

With the Government of India’s Urban Challenge Fund encouraging cities to prepare investment-ready and bankable urban projects, there is a growing need for senior officials to adopt integrated planning, innovative financing, and climate-resilient design approaches.

In response to this emerging demand, CEPT Professional Programs (CPP) at CEPT University has launched a specialised Leaders Program on Creative Redevelopment of Cities (CRC), aimed at equipping urban decision-makers with the knowledge and tools required to reimagine existing cities, unlock land and infrastructure potential, and deliver future-ready, sustainable urban development.

The programme is designed as India’s first dedicated professional development course focused on the creative redevelopment of cities, responding to the growing need for innovative approaches to transform existing urban areas through strategic planning, infrastructure renewal, and climate-responsive design.

XLRI offers three distinct blended PGDM programs, each designed for the specific growth trajectory of a different professional profile. Unlike a single general management curriculum, each program is built around the domain knowledge, career stage, and leadership destination of its target participant.

Blended PGDM – Human Resource Management

Designed for HR professionals seeking to move from operational HR delivery to strategic people leadership. The program covers HR strategy, people analytics, talent management, compensation and rewards, organisational development, labour law, and cross-cultural management. The program prepares participants for senior HR leadership roles and, over the long arc of their career, the CHRO position.

Blended PGDM – Finance

Designed for finance professionals seeking to move from technical expertise to strategic financial leadership. The program covers corporate finance, equity valuation, fintech, data science, investment banking, risk management, and sustainability finance, with a Capstone Project and Virtual Summer Internship. The curriculum is mapped to the CFA Program, with at least 70% syllabus coverage, opening pathways to CFA, CFP, and FRM certifications alongside the degree.

Blended PGDM – Business Management

Designed for professionals across functions seeking to build the cross-functional leadership capability that general management demands. The program covers marketing, finance, operations, HR, strategy, and management information systems, with elective concentrations in Year 2 across Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, and MIS.

Admissions Details – 2026-28 Batch

Admission is through a two-step process: Shortlisting followed by a Personal Interview. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Fee Waivers

A fee waiver of Rs. 1 lakh is available for Women, SC/ST, PwD, and Northeast Domicile candidates (applicable to a maximum of two categories). Corporate sponsorship waivers and an academic merit scholarship for top Year 1 performers are also available.
