    LANXESS once again on CDP Climate A List – among the top 4 percent of all companies assessed

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 31: Climate protection initiative CDP has once again included LANXESS in its “A List” for climate protection – for the seventh time in a row. With an “A” rating, the specialty chemicals company ranks among the top 4 percent of more than 22,100 companies assessed worldwide.

    CDP gave particularly positive ratings in the areas of business strategy, targets, emissions reduction and climate-friendly products, governance and value chain.

    The CDP experts award “A” ratings to companies that disclose their climate protection measures in a particularly transparent manner and implement their plans reliably. Among other things, verifiable strategies, science-based targets and a current climate protection plan are rewarded.

    LANXESS also achieved a strong result in the area of water: CDP rated the company’s water management with the second-best grade of A-. LANXESS has been reporting to the CDP continuously since 2012.

    EcoVadis confirms LANXESS’s gold status

    Back in December 2025, sustainability platform EcoVadis had already evaluated the speciality chemicals company. With 83 out of a possible 100 points, LANXESS has once again improved on its

    previous year’s performance and is thus among the top 2 per cent of all companies evaluated. EcoVadis has thereby confirmed LANXESS’s Gold status.

    “The latest assessments by CDP and EcoVadis are proof that our focus on sustainability is setting international standards,” said Hubert Fink, member of the Board of Management of LANXESS AG. “Our progress in this area is paying off – also for our customers who want to achieve their own sustainability goals.”

    Non-profit organization CDP collects annual environmental and climate data from companies on greenhouse gas emissions, water management, and forest protection. In 2025, more than 22,100 companies submitted their statistics. The CDP platform is considered the market standard and covers more than half of the global listed market.

    EcoVadis is a leading platform for sustainability information for global supply chains. More than 150,000 companies use the ratings and other EcoVadis solutions to assess sustainability in their supply chain. For the majority of LANXESS’s customers and suppliers, the EcoVadis rating is the key metric for assessing the specialty chemicals company’s sustainability.

  • LANXESS India donates critical COVID-19 relief worth Rs 2.1 crore

    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 18: LANXESS India has committed over INR 2.1 crores as part of its CSR spends to support the medical infrastructure in the country in its fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. The spike in COVID-19 cases in the second wave has been severe and there has been a huge demand for critical medical equipment for treating patients. To help medical institutions tackle the situation better, LANXESS India has donated twenty units of advanced German Ventilators worth approximately INR 1.9 crores to hospitals in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

    The company donated these ventilators to nine hospitals in the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat where the company has its sites and offices. These include Kaushalya Medical Foundation Trust Hospital and Bethany Hospital in Thane, Shushrusha Hospital in Mumbai, Jayaben Modi Hospital in Ankleshwar, Sevashram Hospital and Civil Hospital in Bharuch, and Patidar Hospital, J K Hospital and SS Hospital & Research Centre in Ujjain. The hospitals will use these ventilators for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

    In addition, to combat the rising medical oxygen requirement in the country, LANXESS India supported the District Hospital, Ujjain with ten units of Oxygen Concentrators.

    The company has also supported the Employee State Insurance Corporation Hospital (ESIC) in Nagda with INR 10 lakhs to help in upgrading their existing infrastructure and provide better medical assistance to the patients.

We will continue to aid the community in fighting the devastating second wave of COVID-19.”
