  • Uplift the Girls Empower the Women- Saubhagyaa R Swain

Uplift the Girls Empower the Women- Saubhagyaa R Swain

    Read Time:3 Minute, 2 Second

May 11: Empowerment is the degree of strength and confidence that enables people to stand with authority for their interests. It is for every male and female to become stronger, more confident, and take control of their actions.

Men play a vital role in women’s empowerment by thinking beyond the conventional orthodox belief toward women and supporting them psychologically and socially instead of fastening them into shackles.

Gradually women are earning many accolades emerging as successful entrepreneurs getting involved in business not only for survival but to showcase their creativity and prove their capabilities.

Mr. Saubhagyaa R Swain is a protagonist who has been working on elementary education for girls and women empowerment by starting a project “Social entrepreneurship and economic empowerment of women in India.” The project focuses on the foundation’s work in changing the contexts around the World. It is aiming to make an impact on the highlighted issues through three sustained interventions at the educational, social and economic levels. It also looks forward to encouraging women’s participation in decision-making:

    • Educational Empowerment- To empower women with the knowledge, skills and values they need to build a better world for them and society at local and national levels. This is giving females a determination to use their physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual resources to stand for themselves.
    • Social Empowerment- This intervention is working on the development of a sense of autonomy and self-confidence. It addresses the prevailing gender norms and improves women’s position in civil, economic, and social domains.
    • Economic Empowerment- Through this project, Vincitore Group is aiming on the legal and social reforms for strengthening the monetary condition of women. It is empowering the capacity of women to recognise the value of their contributions and respect their dignity.

The project is also setting up a psychology based “mindset” training program that consists of skills like exploring new opportunities, goal setting, planning, and overcoming obstacles and improving the women entrepreneurs in business performance and their personal initiation. This training program is incessantly running in Orissa, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu addressing the women who are facing deeper psychological and social constraints.

Under the training project, we are conducting awareness drive to empower the marginalized groups or under privileged women of the society, by bringing the awareness regarding the initiative taken by the government towards the women empowerment. The Indian Government has launched various policies, programs, and incentive schemes to promote women entrepreneurs. Such encouragement and incentive schemes have induced women to undertake business comfortably. Some institutions assess women in their start-ups, and commercial banks have also come up with financial assistance for women entrepreneurs. Both Central and State Governments provide infrastructural facilities, raw materials, tax exemptions, special grants, subsidies, and concessions to women entrepreneurs. The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of the Indian government has emerged as the torchbearers of women empowerment. The Udyogini Scheme was launched under the Women Development Corporation to encourage poor women entrepreneurs. Other government schemes are the Bhartiya Mahila bank, Annapurna scheme, Stree Shakti, etc.

There is no chance for world welfare unless the condition of women is improved. A bird cannot fly on only one wing, once quoted by Swami Vivekananda. The message conveys that women have the potential and play a vital role in the economic development of the family and country. However, everyone must understand the value of gender equality as a necessary step for a prosperous and sustainable world. Family and government must look forward to the encouragement and supporting women. India needs to empower its colossal women force into a human resource.

  • Shincheonji ‘Life ON’ Blood Donation Volunteer, “Thank you for taking care of the national crisis”

Shincheonji ‘Life ON’ Blood Donation Volunteer, “Thank you for taking care of the national crisis”

    Read Time:3 Minute, 47 Second

Saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus are participating in the ‘Life Sharing Blood Campaign, Life ON’ Campaign

May 10: Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Lee Man-hee), which donated blood for two weeks from the 18th of last month to the 1st of this month, completed the group donation of 18478 saints, well above the original estimate number of people. The total number of people who participated in the group donation was 27026.

According to the Blood Management of Korean Red Cross, Shincheonji is the only case in which so many people donated blood in a short period of 14 days. This blood donation is equivalent to 3.5 days of blood reserves. The blood reserves of 1 day are the average amount of blood used per day by medical institutions across the country, requiring 5029 units per day. The voluntary blood donation by the saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus helped resolve the national blood supply shortage that has continued since the beginning of this year. On 1st, when Shincheonji Church of Jesus completed the blood donation, the amount of blood in Korea soared to the amount of 5.9 days which is a crisis is lifted.

◆With the Goal of “Resolving Blood Supply Difficulties”

The blood donation began with the goal of solving the blood shortage, which has become serious due to the spread of COVID-19. However, due to the COVID-19 Omicron pandemic, it is impossible to predict how much blood donation will be possible considering health conditions and personal conditions after confirmation, so it was aimed at 6000 people exceeding the amount of blood used per day.

Considering the occurrence of 40% of unqualified people on average, Shincheonji Church of Jesus conducted a Life-sharing Blood Donation Campaign ‘Life ON’ to the saints as much as possible and encouraged blood donation throughout the nation. As a result, more than 3000 people have already visited the blood donation site on the 18th of last month(the first day of the blood donation) and 2000 people have actually donated blood, reaching the target of 6000 people in just 3 days.

However, the saints voluntarily rushed to the blood donation site after hearing that the national blood shortage has not been resolved yet. In addition, the saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and their families who heard the news participated in the blood donation, achieved an unprecedented miracle of 18478 people donating for 2 weeks.

This is in line with a total of 6000 people participating in plasma donations to develop COVID-19 treatments 3 times at the request of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at the beginning of COVID-19, when there were no vaccines and treatments in 2020. At that time, they gained attention not only in Korea but also abroad because they took care of the national crisis even though they suffered from the aftereffects of COVID-19.

◆Donating both Blood Donor Cards and Blood Donation Certificates
In the blood donation, various saints from the blood donor who donated the most to the blood donor who donated for the first time gathered their hearts. There are 16 blood donors who participated in the group donation more than 100 times, and a blood donor who donated blood the most is Choi Byung-hyuk, a saint of Ulsan Church, who has participated 538 times so far and has been inducted into the Blood Management Hall of Fame.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus plans to donate both blood donor cards and blood donation certificates collected through blood donation for 2 weeks to Korean Red Cross on 9th. Shincheonji Church of Jesus let saints who participated in the blood donation to choose it, and the donation ceritficates collected so far are worth 100 million won ($78709.17).

An official from a Korean Blood Center said “Many saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus participated to fill the insufficient blood supply and demand. We’re getting enough of our daily average target, and there’s no such organization doing this.”

In addition, India branch of Shincheonji church of Jesus, New Delhi church also initiated it’s volunteer work with a group, of 13 members, on May 7, 2022.

The volunteers went to the areas of the slum, to provide the basic necessities to the estranged strata of the society.

Aiming to spread the love, with pronounced actions, of sharing their necessities, they distributed the basic and survival staples of food to 45 houses.

Green Man Viral Desai’s unique way to celebrate Gujarat Foundation Day by planting trees and educating students about the ‘Climate Change’

    Read Time:1 Minute, 24 Second

Surat (Gujarat) [India], May 10: Viral Desai, an environmentalist and textile industrialist who has acquired the moniker ‘Green Man,’ uniquely commemorated Gujarat Foundation Day by planting trees in two locations and organising an awareness drive among college students about the danger of ‘climate change.’

The tree plantation and the awareness campaign were organised under the banner of the ‘Satyagraha against Pollution’ movement where hundreds of trees were planted in the first phase at Akshayapatra Foundation and Annapurna temple in Pal where the NSS students from Seth CD Barfiwala College participated.

Viral Desai, while interacting with NSS students at Seth CD Barfiwala College, gave them advice on how to become “environment soldiers” to combat the effects of climate change. Desai also instructed the pupils on how to identify different tree species to safeguard humans from the consequences of rising temperatures in the future.

“This was our first tree planting with the Akshay Patra Foundation,” Viral Desai explained, “but we will soon establish a massive urban forest with five thousand trees here that will serve as an oxygen chamber for a big population in the Parvat Patia area.” These plants will significantly boost the urban biodiversity.”

“Through ‘our’ Satyagraha against Pollution Movement, we are reaching out to the masses,” Desai continued. We go out to kids and students, in particular, to ensure that they not only earn degrees but also develop into responsible citizens.”

Interestingly, Desai has engaged more than 50,000 people in Surat through his unique ‘Satyagraha against Pollution’ movement and has decided to plant more than 2.5 lakh trees.

  • Stop the violence against women- Paris Keswani on Mother’s Day

Stop the violence against women- Paris Keswani on Mother’s Day

    Read Time:2 Minute, 15 Second

May 9: The remarkable parallels in benevolent objectives between Ann Reeves Jarvis and Ms Paris Keswani, Ambassador of Goodwill Extraordinaire History silently reminds us that a few years before the devastating American Civil war, Ann Reeves Jarvis, of West Virginia helped start “Mothers’ Day Work Clubs” to teach local women how to properly care for their children. In 1868 Jarvis organized “Mothers’ Friendship Day,” at which mothers gathered with former Union and Confederate soldiers to promote reconciliation. Her influence inspired Julia Ward Howe, who in 1870 wrote the “Mother’s Day Proclamation,” a call to action that asked mothers to unite in promoting world peace. And from these two remarkable precedents we today celebrate Mother Day here in the United States with added global flavor.

As we applaud and cheer in 2022, over 150 years later, to celebrate our Mothers, Grand Mothers, great grand Mothers, sisters, daughters, aunties, nieces and all women in the world, Ms Paris Keswani wants to remind us of the incalculable sacrifices made by such great freedom fighters and liberators of the human will to be free and informed, like Ann Reeves Jarvis and Julia Ward Howe, that it takes relentless resilience to continue the fight for gender equality, protection of women’s reproductive rights, global free education for all girls and women, access to free health care, clean and sustainable sources of water in all rural areas of the world, stress free environmentally conscious transportation systems, eradication of unemployment, livable wages to sustain all family sizes, and eradication of all types of violence against women.

Paris humbly urges all people of goodwill in the world to join her and hold up a virtual placard affixed to their benevolent hearts which reads, “I join hands with the world to uplift all women by dialoging through all differences and not through abuse or violent acts against them.” Ms Paris reminds all Men to remember the pain their mothers had to bear to bring them into this world and in so doing cultivate discussions and dialogues as the only peaceful way to quickly eradicate violence against women and girls in all its forms. She is unequivocally committed to make this the crown of all her humanitarian work because the complete eradication of violence against women will usher in a peaceful era of mentally healthy and happy children pursuing their chosen ideals, achieving them and using same to benefit all humanity.

As the wheels of human progress turns through the quadrangles of this planet uplifting our Mothers today, we rejoice and stand exuberant knowing that in each wheel is found imprints of unrequited kindness affixed by the benevolent hands of our dearest Ms Paris Keswani, the people’s humanitarian.
