    Read Time:3 Minute, 25 Second

Gujarat (India), April 4: India is at par with other western and European countries because of its state-of-the-art facilities, excellent infrastructure, expert healthcare professionals, conventional healthcare therapies, and quality nursing facilities. Cost is one vital factor that makes India lucrative for medical tourism. Apart from modern medical procedures, India is known for ancient health and wellness methods such as Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy. A broad spectrum of hospitals in India caters to medical tourism. Addressing the 2022 post-budget webinar of the Union Health Ministry and Family Welfare, our Prime Minister emphasized facilitating universal access to India’s quality and the cost-effective healthcare system. It will boost medical tourism and provide more income opportunities for citizens in Gujarat.

Because of medical tourism people prefer to treat their illnesses closer to home, but obstacles, such as long waiting periods, high treatment costs, and other factors, would force them to cross borders for the best and most efficient medical care. Medical tourists are those people who travel to a foreign country to receive quality healthcare services. There is a significant growth in the globalization of health that has led to the rise of medical tourism. Medical Tourism, in recent years, has become a growing sector in our country. Medical Tourism in India, in mid-2020, was estimated to be worth around USD 9 billion.

    Medical Tourism in Gujarat

Gujarat has a competitive edge over other states in terms of medical tourism. This is due to the state’s world-class facilities, super-specialty hospitals, excellent doctors, zero waiting time, reasonable prices, and cutting-edge infrastructure. Previously, the private sector had a minimal role in Gujarat’s healthcare sector. However, it has now evolved into a booming industry. The local government support is also essential to sustain the market.

    Vibrant Gujarat Initiative

Vibrant Gujarat, a successful initiative that improves the state’s economic relations, also benefits the healthcare industry in Gujarat. This project brought about a radical change in the state hospitals, which got further accelerated by the arrival of international healthcare providers. Many hospitals in the state have substantial experience providing healthcare to NRGs. Most of them have national and global accreditations like JCI and NABH certifications.

Government of India and Medical Tourism

Consecutively, the Indian government has also implemented comprehensive strategies to enhance medical tourism in India. One of the most critical developments is to provide simple, quick, and special visas to any foreign traveler visiting India on medical grounds. Amongst the other states of India – Gujarat is emerging as the leading state for medical tourism. Ahmedabad, the most influential city in Gujarat – has acquired the distinction of being the country’s most renowned destination; for medical treatments.

    Top Medical Treatments in Gujarat

A handful of the top medical treatments in Gujarat are

Prospective patients across the world have easy access to this type of information.

    Medical Tourism consultants in Gujarat

  • Beware of Sextortion, Cyberbullying Tactic in India, says Ajeet Gunwant Parse

Beware of Sextortion, Cyberbullying Tactic in India, says Ajeet Gunwant Parse

    Read Time:3 Minute, 42 Second

    Mr Ajeet Gunwant Parse

April 4: Sextortion is the abuse of power to obtain a sexual benefit. The executioner demands sexual favours, money, or other benefits under the threat of sharing sensual and sexually explicit material. Sextortion is an organised crime.

With the increase in the use of social media, this crime is gaining popularity among different sections of people. Basically, the executioner has some erotic images or videos of the victim. They threaten to share on social media platforms or circulate it among friends and family if the executioner’s needs are not satisfied as he demands money or asks to engage in sexual acts.

There are various methods involved in sextortion, and people fail to identify that they are being caught.

Several hidden professional call centres are active, tracing the vital information people share through various Facebook and Instagram posts and reels. And executioners collect all the information about a family, their financial background, and the number of women and men residing in that place.

Psychometric profiling is the other new method to attack people in which executioners get information about others’ lifestyles, which act as a readymade target.

Then there is also various software involved in this crime, and the most famous is Voice Modular Services, in which a man speaks in a women’s voice and catches you up. They also video call or text in your leisure time to get a hold of you.

Another method involved is Email Phishing; in this, attackers send malicious emails, and ads or content appear on various websites attracting people with sexual images; they are designed to capture people into a scam. People need to be aware of fake accounts on social media that can take confidential information.

Ajeet Parse points out on who can be the victim of sexual extortion.

Though anyone can be a victim, major ones include

    • 71% of cases involve victims under the age of 18.
    • 12% of cases involve only adult victims.
    • 14% of cases include minor and adult victims.

There are various reasons why people sextort. The most important is Financial Gain because the blackmailer knows how people can easily be blackmailed to save their identity in society. Other executors do this act to fulfil their sexual desires and may take revenge on people. Unfortunately, Humiliation is the other reason people enjoy being humiliated.

Although sextortion has deadly consequences. And even resulted in various suicides when victims can’t see a way out. Ajeet also highlights multiple steps to save yourself and your family from this crime. Men, women and adults all can be the victim of this crime. So you can avoid being Sextorted with the following measures.

    • Check your Privacy – if you adjust and specify your confidential information on social media, you can be saved from various sextorter. Don’t share your things with others, whether it’s images, videos or any material that might ruin your privacy.
    • Don’t be too easy to trust -while talking to people, don’t trust everyone easily. In this cruel world, people are more selfish rather than kind. Don’t share your life with others. If someone blackmails you or pressurises upon you, act smart because once you send anything – it’s gone forever.
    • Be aware of your friend circle- never, ever accept requests of people you don’t know in person because terrible immoralities are cunning ones hiding behind the masks of morality, such as exploiting people while pretending to help them.
    • Teach your kids well in advance about the people and with whom they should not talk

Then comes the other question. What to do if you are being Sextorted? Sextortion is terrifying, and if you are a victim, please take measures to cure it.

    • First of all, stop all contact with the executioner. Don’t be scared of the fact that they might tell your family.
    • Secondly, Don’t Delete Evidence because it is the key to Justice.
    • Also, you can contact the authorities related to this crime- Raise your voice, speak out for yourself, and save yourself from being seized.
    • You can always talk to your near and dear ones. Maybe the other person can save you by giving you some solution.

Lastly, as demonstrated by looking at the scenario, it is mandatory to raise awareness among parents, adults, and society to have a good and safe future.

  • Hukam Singh Rajpurohit & Village Residents Adopt Gandhigiri Approach for Stoppage of Long-Distance Trains at Somesar Railway Station

Hukam Singh Rajpurohit & Village Residents Adopt Gandhigiri Approach for Stoppage of Long-Distance Trains at Somesar Railway Station

    Read Time:2 Minute, 43 Second

April 2: Members of the Marwar Yuva Sangharsh Committee have chosen to adopt Gandhigiri for the stoppage of long-distance trains at Pali’s Somesar Railway Station. The youth reached the public representatives with a smile on their faces and sweets in their hands to meet their demand for resolving an age-old issue.

People have been demanding for stoppage of long-distance trains at Pali’s Somesar Railway Station for a while now. But the railway administration has not been offering practical solutions rather shirking the residents away with false assurances. For this reason, the youth of the region decided to reach out to the public representatives with the Gandhigiri approach.

“Due to non-stoppage of long-distance trains at the Pali’s Somesar Railway Station, people have to catch long-distance trains from the Marwar Junction or Falna Railway Station. This leads to a lot of wastage of time and money of the residents” shares Hukam Singh Rajpurohit, Septawas, of the Marwar Yuva Sangharsh Committee. The resident of Somesar, Hukam Singh, along with his team of Marwar Yuva Sangharsh Committee has been continuously demanding for stoppage of long-distance trains at the Somesar Railway Station.

Apart from Hukam Singh Rajpurohit and his team at the Marwar Yuva Sangharsh Committee, MP PP Choudhary, Sumerpur MLA Joraram Kumawat, MLA Gyanchand Parakh, Ex-MLA Kesaram Choudhary, and former MP Pushpa Jain have also urged numerous public representatives for stoppage of long-distance trains at the Somesar Railway Station. Members of the Marwar Yuva Sangarsh Committee have also got postcards addressing the name of the Railway Minister for demand stoppage of trains.

Rajpurohit shares, “Awareness Vans were taken in over 60 nearby villages in order to spread awareness about this problem and get postcards addressing the Railway Minister written. Representatives went from door-to-door to get the postcards written just for this purpose.”

Two long-distance trains that can be halted at the Somesar Railway Station are Bangalore Express and Haridwar Mail. Thus, this age-old problem can surely be resolved if the demand is met by the Railway Minister or concerning public representatives. Thousands of people would get relief if this problem is resolved.

“If the need arises, then I will not step back from heading to Delhi with the concerned villagers to meet the Railway Minister”, Septawas adds.

All villagers residing near the Somesar Railway Station have to catch a long-distance train from Marwar Junction or Falna Railway Station to go to Haridwar for bone immersion in case of death of a closed one. As the nearby areas or villages near Somesar are rural areas, enough means of transport to take them to Marwar or Falna Station are not available. Although many people from the nearby villages work in Bangalore and Mumbai, still this solution is not available. Thus, they have to spend a lot more money on traveling expenses than the living expenses they would require for their stay in the region.

Hukam Singh Rajpurohit, Septawas is a resident of the Somesar village, near Pali, and one of the main social workers and youth activists behind bringing this positive change for the village residents residing near the Somesar Railway Station.

Sikh Sainchian/Gutke Retrieved Safely from Odessa, Ukraine

    Read Time:3 Minute, 22 Second

At London airport, GuruJi was received by the Sangat with love

Odessa [Ukraine] April 2: The tragedy of the war in Ukraine has made it necessary to evacuate the Sainchian/religious scriptures and Gutke/sacred prayer tablets from the port city of Odessa in Ukraine. This virtuous seva was critical as the residents of Odessa had been preparing to defend the city from an imminent attack after the siege of Mariupol nearby. This seva was made successful by the joint efforts of Sikh Defense Network-UK, Sikh Dharma International and the UNITED SIKHS. The Holy Scriptures are being respectfully brought into the United Kingdom, where they will be received by the Sangat and then taken to the National Sikh Museum in Derby, UK.

Simran Singh from Sikh Dharma International travelled from London to Iasi in Romania, from where he took a car to drive into the Moldovan capital Chisinau. The outskirts of the city were met by the members of the Ukrainian People’s Self Defense Organization.  The general advice given was to not travel due to the city being prepared for the assault. The entire sequence of the journey was an experience of grace and filled with Chardhi Kala and joyful anticipation of the darshan of the scriptures.

The scriptures and tablets were then collected from Odessa Gurdwara Sahib, following all the protocols and with utmost care. The scriptures will be taken for safekeeping by the National Sikh Museum in Derby.

“We are overjoyed that Guru Ji provided the blessing of retrieving the Sanchia at such a difficult time,” said Simran Singh, Global Affairs Advisor of Sikh Dharma International. “Coordinating on the ground with United Sikhs and the UK Sikh Defense Network in this mission was a game-changer and it is together that the panth is the strongest. Now, our focus must remain on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, where millions of people are in extreme duress, where food is in short supply, and where countless refugees are hiding or worse. United Sikhs is currently running convoys into Ukraine to evacuate Sikh and Hindu students, is feeding thousands of refugees on the entire sangat’s behalf at their langar hall, and is available to any person needing help. We are extremely grateful for their tireless work.”

Pritpal Singh Bhullar, Vice Chairman, UK Sikh Defense Network said,  “When we started planning this mission with Simran Singh, it was important that he had real-time knowledge of movements and travel routes to ensure his and scriptures’ safe return. The area is under military siege, with civilians evacuated, and we had to efficiently navigate military blockades, armoured vehicle columns, and pending bombardments. We are particularly grateful to the Ukrainian People’s Self Defense Organization from Lviv for coordinating Ukrainian vehicles and non-military drivers at personal risk and during their own tremendous needs. We are overjoyed that with Guru Ji’s blessing, this mission was a success.”

UNITED SIKHS has been involved in serving the emergency needs of refugees escaping the destruction of their country.  This includes distributing warm meals to eat, tea/coffee, goodwill supplies, a warm and secure shelter in a bitterly cold climate and conducting rescue operations along the Ukraine/Poland border for close to a month.

Gurpal Singh, UNITED SIKHS Head of Security Operations said, “Thanks to Vaaheguroo that Guru Saheb’s most sacred Senchiaa and Gutkas have made their way out. The collective approach of Sikh brothers and sisters in this operation with the Polish NGOs, Ukrainian Civil Authorities and their NGOs is a sign of a collective human spirit to save humanity-in war or peace. We recognize Simran Singh and the Sikh Dharma International Sangat in their collective effort to join forces and work as a truly global Team. Their humanitarian supply, evacuation, and food delivery seva for the Ukrainian people are deeply inspirational as well. This Mission is a tribute to universal protection of places of worship globally and we are thankful to the Sikh National Heritage Museum in Derby, UK where they will be placed.”

Dr. AK Dwivedi at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya’s National Yoga Convention

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya’s National Yoga Convention focuses on ‘anaemia’ as a major concern among Indian women

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 1: The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, the State University of Madhya Pradesh, organised a two-day National Yoga convention with the primary goal of discussing the issues that a developing country faces in combating anaemia and potential answers to those challenges.

The National Yoga convention, held at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya’s sprawling auditorium, was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Renu Jain, in the presence of Rector of the University, Prof. Ashok Sharma, and Registrar, Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma.

According to Dr. Dwivedi, Iron Deficiency Anemia is caused by when your body doesn’t have enough iron to produce haemoglobin. While Aplastic Anemia is caused by the bone marrow’s failure to produce new blood cells,  Sickle cell anaemia is caused by a change in the gene when red blood cells’ shape changes from round or oval to sickle. Thalassemia is caused by a disruption in the DNA of haemoglobin. Hemolytic anaemia is a disorder in which red blood cells are destroyed faster than they can be made.

Dr. Dwivedi recommended those in attendance at the convention to consult their doctors as soon as possible if they had severe menstrual bleeding, bleeding piles, bleeding from the nose and mouth, or blood in the urine. Furthermore, adults over the age of 45 should avoid using painkillers on their own if they are experiencing weakness, exhaustion, or a high fever. Patients in this situation must undergo CBC testing in a laboratory and take medications suggested by specialists.

Dr. Dwivedi also informed that he has been treating patients suffering from  Aplastic anaemia with Homeopathy medicines for the last 22 years through his rich experience in the field of homoeopathy.  Scores of his patients who have recovered from aplastic anaemia are living a completely normal life after recovery without the need for blood transfusion or taking any medications.
