The three-day national event witnessed participation from hundreds of students, faculty members, and professionals from architecture institutions across the country.

The inaugural day began with an inspiring address by renowned architect Jitendra Mehta of Mehta & Associates, who emphasized the social responsibility of architecture and the importance of innovation in shaping a sustainable future. A key attraction during the event was the live jury sessions for the GRIHA Trophy and the Student of the Year (SOTY) Trophy, which drew enthusiastic participation and were evaluated by leading experts from across the nation. A traditional tree plantation ceremony was also held under the leadership of Architect Naman Shrotriya, reflecting the event’s commitment to environmental awareness.

One of the most memorable moments of the convention came during the concluding ceremony, where Mr. Ram Prasad Akkisetti, Co-founder and Managing Director of CCBA (Christopher Charles Benninger Architects), graced the event as the chief guest. With his profound experience, life philosophy, and deep faith in students, his heartfelt and motivational address left a strong emotional impact on the audience. He described architecture not merely as design but as a social responsibility and a medium to shape the future. “Students,” he remarked, “are the true beauty and energy of this profession.”

Mr. Akkisetti was present especially to launch and present the inaugural Christopher Benninger Gold Medal, which was awarded to Kiruthika, a student from SPA Delhi, for her exceptional performance in architectural competitions. Addressing Kiruthika and the gathering, he stated that the medal is not just an award, but a lifelong inspiration — especially in moments of doubt or self-doubt, it will serve as a reminder of her dedication and accomplishments. Quoting Professor Christopher Benninger, he reflected, “Our parents are a debt we carry,” encouraging students to lead lives rooted in humility and gratitude.

Commending NASA India, Mr. Akkisetti praised the quality, clarity, and thoughtful expression of the students, calling them a symbol of hope for the country’s bright future. He described NASA as the largest student architecture organization in the country, with over 66,000 active members.

Another proud moment unfolded during the closing ceremony when IPS Academy, SOA was awarded the Citation Award for the prestigious HUDCO Trophy. This honor marked a moment of great pride and inspiration for both the institution and its students. Dr. Manita Saxena, Principal of SOA, expressed immense pride in this achievement and congratulated all the students, commending their hard work and dedication. Architect Achal Chaudhary, Chairman of IPS Academy, also extended his heartfelt wishes on the successful completion of the event and congratulated SOA for receiving the HUDCO Trophy.

The three-day event was flawlessly coordinated under the leadership of faculty coordinators Ar. Kamini Badnore and Ar. Prateek Ahirwar, whose dedication ensured the smooth and impactful execution of every segment.

  • Launch of “Seedball for Green Wall” Campaign from Ambaji by Hon’ble Speaker Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary

Launch of “Seedball for Green Wall” Campaign from Ambaji by Hon’ble Speaker Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary

Ambaji (Gujarat) [India], July 7: Hon’ble Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, today inaugurated the 5th consecutive edition of the “Seedball for Green Wall” campaign from the sacred land of Ambaji. Initiated with the noble vision of transforming the Aravalli mountain ranges into a lush green ecosystem, the campaign is a collaborative effort of Banas Dairy, the Forest Department, and local volunteers.

Throughout the month of July, Banas Dairy will sow over 1 crore seedballs across the Aravalli hills. To mark the auspicious beginning, Speaker, Gujarat Legislative Assembly Shri Shankar Chaudhary offered prayers at the Ambaji temple and symbolically draped a green chunari (veil) to Maa Amba, representing nature and greenery.

The seedball plantation was carried out both through drone technology and manual efforts across the Gabbar-Ambaji hill regions. The Speaker acknowledged the outstanding results seen from previous seedball sowing on hills like Ambaji and Jesor and expressed gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his historic vision of creating a “Green Wall” across the Aravalli range.

This ecological initiative not only aims at reforesting the region but also contributes significantly to rejuvenating rivers like Banas, Saraswati, and Sabarmati by improving water retention in the mountains.

Thousands of women from milk producer unions have actively participated in preparing seedballs using natural cow dung, with Banas Dairy providing the region-specific tree seeds. These efforts align with the larger goal of ecological restoration and sustainable development.

The Prime Minister’s vision announced on World Environment Day 2025 to transform the Aravalli hills—from Banaskantha to Dahod—into a continuous green zone is being brought to life by this initiative, which has already shown positive outcomes over the past five years.

A large number of citizens participated in the launch event held at Gabbar-Ambaji today. Seedballs were sown in the hilly areas behind the Gabbar temple. The event was graced by the presence of MLA Shri Swaroopji Thakor, District Forest Conservator Shri Chirag Amin, members of Banas Dairy Board, Banas Bank Chairman Shri Dahyabhai Pilyatr, Banas Medical College Chairman Shri P.J. Chaudhary, cooperative leaders, and senior forest officials.

  • RDI Scheme: INR 1 Lakh Crore Push for India’s Brightest Minds

RDI Scheme: INR 1 Lakh Crore Push for India’s Brightest Minds

New Delhi [India], July 2: It’s rare for a single policy move to make you sit up and think, “This could actually change everything.” Yet the Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme, approved by the Union Cabinet on July 1, 2025, does exactly that. With a massive one lakh crore rupee fund focused on private sector research, it signals a decisive shift in how India intends to power its future.

For decades, our brightest minds have either left for opportunities abroad or watched their ideas wither without funding. The RDI Scheme tackles that head-on by making sure no promising technology is left stranded for lack of resources. It gives the private sector a reason to dream big, not just in safe areas but in the kind of advanced manufacturing, defense tech, and green energy solutions that can define a nation’s destiny.

Here’s the exciting part. Unlike many past programs that spread funds thinly across early-stage concepts, this scheme is aimed squarely at projects on the cusp of becoming real. By focusing on high Technology Readiness Levels, it helps innovators make the leap from lab to market. This is where India has stumbled before, and where the RDI Scheme could finally break the cycle.

Why does it matter? Because India needs to build industries that don’t just follow trends but set them. We need our own companies designing cutting-edge defense systems. We need startups creating renewable energy breakthroughs that the world wants to license. The RDI Scheme could be the lever that lifts India into that league.

The governance plan feels reassuring too. Having the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, chaired by the Prime Minister, at the top ensures strategic alignment with national goals. The Department of Science and Technology steering implementation shows this isn’t a vanity project but a serious effort backed by experts. And an Empowered Group of Secretaries will keep a sharp eye on performance, giving this scheme a better chance of avoiding the fate of other well-intentioned but poorly executed programs.

If you look closer, you’ll see a clever strategy for building a deep-tech ecosystem. By including a Deep-Tech Fund of Funds, the RDI Scheme is making a statement that India wants to own its future in frontier technologies. This isn’t just about apps and e-commerce. It’s about semiconductors, advanced robotics, and green hydrogen: fields that can generate high-paying jobs and secure India’s technological sovereignty.

And let’s not overlook the timing. This scheme comes just months after a significant hike in the R&D budget for 2025-26, showing clear intent from the government to back its words with money. For too long, India’s ambitions were limited by cautious, incremental steps. Now, with this scale of investment, we’re finally talking about a big, bold leap.

RDI Scheme: India’s Big Bet on Research Could Rewrite Our Economic Story

Here’s what I believe: if implemented well, the RDI Scheme will do more than just produce a few patents or prototypes. It can fundamentally shift the mindset of India’s private sector. It can turn research from an expense into an opportunity. It can inspire thousands of young engineers and scientists to stay here, to build here, to believe that the next global tech breakthrough could have a “Made in India” tag.

That’s how you create an innovation culture. Not with slogans but with serious funding, strategic direction, and accountability. By removing the biggest barrier for private R&D, the sheer cost of long-term experimentation, the scheme gives Indian companies permission to think beyond immediate profits.

In a country where talk of “Viksit Bharat 2047” can sometimes feel abstract, the RDI Scheme offers something tangible. It says that by the 100th year of our independence, India will not just be a consumer of global technology but a creator of it. It says we will build our own solutions for our unique challenges, from defense to climate change, and then export those solutions to the world.

So yes, this scheme might just brighten India’s future. If it ignites private sector R&D the way it promises, it will light the path toward a self-reliant, technologically advanced India that no longer has to depend on anyone else’s ideas.

And that’s a future worth getting excited about.

  • MY Bharat Joins WhatsApp: Govt Moves to Bring Youth Services Right to Your Phone

MY Bharat Joins WhatsApp: Govt Moves to Bring Youth Services Right to Your Phone

New Delhi [India], June 27: In a move that’s likely to resonate with millions of India’s young people, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has kicked off a WhatsApp chatbot for the MY Bharat portal, making it easier than ever to find volunteering gigs, sign up for events, and get updates, straight from your phone.

The chatbot, which is already live, lets users just drop a “Hi” on WhatsApp to 7289001515, verify themselves with an OTP, and dive right into everything MY Bharat has to offer. From building a CV to exploring mentorship options or reporting issues, it’s all there, right in a chat window most of us already use every day.

“This is a step towards connecting with young Indians on the platforms they’re most comfortable with,” an official with the Ministry said. “We don’t want young people to jump through hoops, services should reach them where they are.”

Officials say the idea is simple: if you can order groceries on WhatsApp, why shouldn’t you also find government programs and volunteering opportunities the same way?

    Visit: https://mybharat.gov.in/

And there’s more to come. The chatbot will soon get features like direct registrations, event participation uploads, reminders, even certificates and campaign updates, practically turning your phone into a youth engagement hub. Imagine getting a nudge when a new internship or volunteering slot opens up, or downloading documents without having to visit multiple websites.

For many, it’s a welcome change. “We’ve had students asking how to get involved or find opportunities. Telling them to visit a website they’ve never heard of isn’t always effective,” said a college counselor in Delhi. “But WhatsApp? They’re already on it every hour.”

The new system also aims to speed up support. Got a problem with your application? Report it in chat. Need updates on schemes or deadlines? The bot’s got your back with real-time messages. Officials say this kind of instant, two-way communication could transform how young people engage with government programs.

The MY Bharat platform itself has been designed to channel the energy of India’s massive youth population into volunteering, skills training, and mentorship, all with the ethos of service at its heart. By moving these services to WhatsApp, the Ministry hopes more people will not only learn about opportunities but also actually sign up and participate.

Over the next few months, the chatbot will start sending automated reminders, event highlights, and guides on everything from creating a standout CV to preparing for interviews. It’s also expected to share news about new government programs, giving young people a better shot at staying informed and taking action.

This initiative reflects a broader government effort to use technology in more accessible ways. Instead of building fancy apps that few will download, officials are focusing on platforms like WhatsApp, which already has deep penetration in both cities and villages.

The MY Bharat project, launched by the Department of Youth Affairs, aims to instil a spirit of service and civic duty among young people, offering pathways to contribute to national growth. But as many experts point out, having these opportunities is only half the battle; ensuring they’re easy to find and act upon is what will make the difference.

If the early buzz is any indication, the WhatsApp chatbot could soon become the main gateway for youth engagement in India.

Patriotic and Heart Moving: 7 Voices Stir Hearts at Shauryagatha, an evening dedictaed to Operation Sindoor in Surat Organised by Utsav Foundation

Surat (Gujarat) [India], June 25: In a moving blend of poetry and nationalism, Utsav Foundation, in association with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), organised an evening to remember in the form of a kavi sammelan named Shauryagatha: An Evening Dedicated to Operation Sindoor. Organized at the VNSGU auditorium, the evening was a poetic tribute to the unshakeable bravery of the Indian Armed Forces.

The night united a galaxy of India’s best poetic voices—united, not just by rhyme, but by a common desire for national honour, sacrifice, and pride. The event, attended by lovers of poetry, intellectuals, veterans, and students, was not mere entertainment—it was an expression of patriotic poetry that India still celebrates today.

A Poetry of Testimony: Verses about Resistance, Rememberance, and Reverence
Presided over by renowned poet Shaktikant Yadav of Dewas, the function began with poems that dictated the tone of respect and perseverance. His strong voice and deeply moving compositions framed the evening, blending emotion with patriotic fervour with ease.

The scheme was envisioned not only as a literary convention but as a cultural tribute to the martyrs and defenders of India. Selecting poetry as the medium of expression guaranteed that every emotion was conveyed with accuracy, fervor, and poetic force.

    1. Kavita Tiwari (Lucknow): The Voice of Valiant Virtue
Brought to life by her signature cadence and diction, her presentation of fiery patriotic verses was all too compelling. She weaved a spell of both sacrifice’s glory and service’s sanctity. Her words raised many in the audience to their feet.

    “उनके लहू की इमारतें, इतिहास से भी ऊँची हैं,” she asserted, leaving thunderous applause and tearful eyes in her wake.

    2. Yogendra Bhai (Bhopal): Stoic Sentiment with Soul
Bhopal’s Yogendra Bhai presented poems infused with measured authority, reflecting on duty, loss, and the quiet strength of the family of a soldier. His tone was powerful, speaking of the emotional residue of battlefields.

    3. Siddharth Deval (Udaipur): Courage in Cadence
With a voice heavy with gravitas, Deval’s poetic vocabulary provided eerie tributes to the valour of Indian Armed Forces which executed Operation Sindoor. He made the stage a battleground of words, on which honour fought with grief, but remembrance prevailed.

    4. Shambhu Shikhar (Palwal): Humour as Homage
Shambhu Shikhar set the evening lighter with a subtle mix of humor and nationalism. A master of wit and satire, his one-liners walked that rare tightrope—eliciting laughter and introspection. His delivery was a gentle reminder that nationalism can smile as well.

    5. Munna Battery (Mahendragarh): The Satirical Soldier
Munna Battery contributed comic timing through local dialect and relatable commentary. Although his lines brought laughter, they quietly advocated for the jawan’s sacrifices in language with which the common man feels a deep connection.

    6. Sonali Jain (Surat): The Local Voice of Emotion
Representing Surat city, Sonali Jain presented Surat’s poetic offering to the nation. Her moving performance underscored the emotional connection between soldiers and civilians, reflecting Surat’s unwavering patriotism and literary spirit.

    7. The Audience: A Chorus of Unity
Aside from the poets, the crowd took center stage. From school children to veterans and pensioners, the audience was as multicultural yet harmonious as India herself. Standing ovations, weeping eyes, and applause in unison— Echos of ”Bharat Mata ki Jai”—were all evidence that poetry can still bring people together, inspire, and ignite.

More Than an Event — A Movement
The organizers, Hari Arora, Prakash Dhoriyani and their whole team of Utsav Foundation, had stated their mission clearly: to kindle the fire of national pride through art. “In a world scattered by chaos and overloaded with informaiton, poetry touches our hearts like none other,” foundation representatives said. “And when that poetry talks about soldiers, sacrifice, and spirit—it becomes a movement.”

    A Message of Unity Closing
When the curtains came down on Shauryagatha, the hall stood on their feet for one last salute. This last moment—silent, solemn, and together—held the essence of the evening. It was not merely a tribute to Operation Sindoor, but a reminder across all ages of what it means to be part of a country, to be moved by its tales, and to pay respect to its protectors.

This night in Surat made it certain that the pen is as strong as the sword.
