Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], July 24: TiE Rajasthan, one of the most prominent Chapters of TiE Global, has announced the closure of a pre-seed funding round by its mentee startup InfraHive, a promising startup from Jaipur that specializes in AI infrastructure solutions. The investment round has been led by GoAhead VC, a renowned investor from Silicon Valley.

Dr. Sheenu Jhawar, the President of TiE Rajasthan, describes this as an immensely significant and deeply inspiring moment for young startup founders operating from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. “This startup, based in Jaipur and founded by a team of determined and talented college students, applied for the Rajasthan Cohort of our annual TiE University Global program this year. They received dedicated one-on-one mentoring support from our esteemed member, Smriti Tripathi, and emerged as the Chapter Winner eventually.”

However, their journey with TiE didn’t end there as they were on boarded onto another year-long deep mentoring program, ‘TiE Navigate’ by TiE Rajasthan, wherein their focussed mentoring with TiE anchor mentor Sanjay Yadav is still ongoing. Sanjay himself is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor and mentor to umpteen startups.

Runners embarked on their chosen distances of 2, 5, 10, or 21 kilometres, each step representing a commitment to a drug-free life and a healthier future. The revised route, featuring a captivating double loop, led participants through the scenic landmarks of Chandigarh, showcasing the city’s beauty while reinforcing the message of unity and resilience.

“We are immensely proud of the participants who joined us today, running against drugs and for life,” stated Mr. Anil Mohan, RRCA Certified Race Director and the Founder of Sarmang Adventure Tours. “Their enthusiasm and dedication in embracing a healthy lifestyle while supporting the cause were truly inspiring. There was some rainfall prior to the flag-off, despite which the event was conducted very smoothly. It was already released that the heavy rainfall a few weeks earlier caused us to change the route of the half marathon and change it to a double loop from Bapu Dham Chauk. The dedication of participants to complete the race even in the rain made us believe that events like the BM Education Chandigarh Half Marathon can make a significant difference in raising awareness and promoting a drug-free society.”  

He specifically expressed gratitude to the administration for allowing this marathon and to the people of Chandigarh for their love and trust.  

The event was not just a test of physical endurance but also an opportunity to honor exceptional athletes who demonstrated remarkable skill and determination. Mr. Gurphool Singh, a 73 years runner from Dehradun who ran 21 kilometres, shared his inspiring story of how he is running every day at this age. Col. Krishan Singh Badhwar, SM, motivated everyone to live a disciplined life and focused on the importance of health.

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], July 19: ‘Marathon des Sables’ held in the Sahara desert is considered one of the most difficult ultra-marathons in the world. The ‘Marathon Des Sables’ or MDS, is a six-day 250 km ultra marathon. Some months ago, Mahasweta Ghosh of India had taken part in the event. Later, Ghosh had claimed that she was the first Indian to take part in this competition.

However, Pune’s famous runner Michelle Anil Kakade said today in a press conference that she was the First Indian to take part in this event and she had done so in 2010 and said the Ghosh was making false claims.

Apart from running for 6,000 km which is mentioned in the Guinness Book Of World Records, Michelle Kakade has achieved many other feats in running. 

Michelle Kakade, who addressed journalists at Pune Union of Working Journalists, said that ‘Marathon des Sables’ is one of the most difficult ultra-marathons in the world and she had taken part in the event in 2010. “Before me, no Indian had taken part in the event. However, after me, 9 to 10 people from India have participated in the event. Hence, it is wrong of Mahasweta Ghosh to claim that she was the first Indian to take part in the event.

Dr Vivek Bindra asked Shri Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Ji about his sweet smile, the reason and source behind such a soulful happiness, is it natural or is he camera friendly? To which Dhirendra Ji replied saying, “I live my life in a very joyous way, cameras have arrived just now but the smile was there since my birth but the main reason behind my smile is my mother, she used to say always keep a smile on your face when you go out, I was about 5-6 years old then but I still remember those words till now.” Dhirendra Shashtri Ji also shared a very important learning from his mother when he told her mother that he’s unable to take care of her, to which the mother replied, “ab tumhare darbar mein ya tumhare jeevan mein jo saamne aaye wo tumhari Maa hai, uski seva hi meri seva maan lo.”

The Story Behind ‘Siddhi Ki Praapti’

In his own grilling way when Dr Bindra asked Dhirendra Ji when exactly did he got the famous ‘Krupa Siddhi’ and how, Shri Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Ji told him an interesting story when he was about 9-10 years old and was going through a very tough time financially and emotionally, he went to his grandfather saying that you tell everyone about their future and well-being, why don’t you tell me where can I find lost the treasure to which his grandfather replied and asked him to come back in the night. When Dhirendra Ji went to meet him in the night, his Dada Ji held his hand asked him to shower properly and made him stand right in front of the Bageshwar Temple and a miracle happened, young Dhirendra Ji saw a pure bright light and something changed in him at that very moment, and his body started shivering, he cried and shouted to the light saying, ‘Aaj se tum hamare aur hum tumhare,’ considering that the light was produced by Lord Hanuman.

New Delhi (India), July 13: Sreenivasan Muniswamy Radha Addanki Trust Ayurway (SMRATA), in its efforts to help the underprivileged kids and provide them with access to the best education, has offered to support the educational expenses of yet another 5 students of TSWREIS. These students are first-generation learners whose parents are daily wage labourers. Post getting seats in these prestigious institutes, they were unable to pay for admission due to their financial conditions. 

At a time when they were about to lose their seats, SMRATA came to their aid by paying their first-semester fee and promising to take up all their educational expenses, amounting to about 60 lakhs. These students will be pursuing their Post Graduation in Business Administration in highly coveted Institutes like IIM, IIT and NIT. These students are the first batch of girls from Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree Colleges, TSWRDC, to have been selected from TSWREIS for such Institutes. 

Honorable Minister Sri Koppula Eashwar Garu, while distributing Laptops to two students, commended Dr. Sarat Addanki, founder of SMRATA, for the noble activities done in the field of  Education, Health and Nutrition and congratulated the students for attaining these prestigious seats. He praised SMRATA for being a strong support to TSWREIS and TTWREIS as it had adopted 155 girls and boys, most of them Alumni of TSWREIS and TTWREIS, with the main objective to empower girls and boys who are first-generation learners from marginalized communities and to improve the standard of living of their families.

Chandigarh (India), July 13:  United Sikhs have swiftly mobilized their Emergency Response Teams to provide assistance to the flood-affected communities in Mohali, Rupnagar, Sangrur, Ludhiana and other affected areas. With the submergence of several regions in Panjab, the teams are on the ground providing emergency assistance to the people impacted. The on-ground evaluation is also identifying the immediate needs of the people to provide targeted assistance efficiently.

Speaking about the aid, Gurvinder Singh, UNITED SIKHS International Humanitarian Aid Director of United Sikhs, said, “Punjab is passing through a tough time due to flooding. Our emergency response teams have reached the affected areas, rescuing people to safer areas. We are also assessing the most urgent requirements of the affected communities.”

Recognizing the importance of accessibility and convenience, United Sikhs teams are geographically reviewing the affected regions to identify suitable locations for setting up satellite centers in the state. These centers will serve as operational hubs for providing essential relief materials, medical aid, and other necessary services to flood-affected individuals and families.

United Sikhs Director Amritpal Singh said, “To ensure seamless delivery of assistance, we are also mobilizing a fleet of vans and ambulances equipped with essential supplies and resources.

These vans are being deployed to the affected areas, enabling our teams to rapidly respond to the immediate needs of the communities.” He said that United Sikhs encourage individuals to come forward and support our relief efforts.
