A total of 220 students and teachers from all these reputed universities attended the workshop in their respective universities where the keynote speaker – Dr. Shubhra Punetha, a renowned psychiatrist addressed the current situation of cyberbullying globally, and also listed its harsh effects. The participants were then introduced to the best ways to tackle cyberbullying that are being followed globally and technical measures to keep their information safe online. The participants then worked in groups to develop actions to create further awareness and safety among their peers to tackle this pertinent issue.

This initiative by FSL India was funded by Erasmus+ (EU’s program to support education, training, youth, and sport in Europe), and was organized in partnership with four international organizations namely RIZIKA (CZECH REPUBLIC), IGEEI (PHILIPPINES), IIAPHS (ITALY) and SYAJ (PORTUGAL). All organizations worked hand-in-hand to spearhead the planning and implementation of the project.

The aim of this project was to address the issue of cyberbullying and call for relevant actions on how a safety net can be created to ensure the protection of rights specifically of vulnerable groups such as children and young people.

Speaking on the workshops, Mr. Rakesh Soans, President, of FSL India said, “Children and young people are being negatively affected online through social media platforms and the complexity of these social networks means bullying can take on different forms on different platforms. There is a need to raise awareness and create ecosystems to sensitively manage the emotional well-being of the younger population” He further stated, “Social media companies are facing increased scrutiny from parents, professionals and Government for their response to child protection matters online, including cyberbullying”

Over the past two years, FSL India’s cyberbullying project has focused on exploring the best practices for addressing the issue in Asia and Europe. They also conducted an international conference on cyberbullying in Rome, Italy. Stefania Tudorache – Trainer, Synergia Braga, shared her thoughts on the workshops, stating – “Bullying is not a new phenomenon, but the digital landscape has fundamentally changed the way that young people are experiencing it. This project is very important for Synergia, as it helps us get a better understanding of the phenomenon of Cyberbullying across the world and create new platforms of awareness, prevention, and supporting the victims.”

Eastern India’s largest Cow Shelter, The Calcutta Pinjrapole Society takes care of 7000 + cows

    Read Time:2 Minute, 53 Second

New Delhi (India), October 31: India has the largest population of dairy cattle in the world, unfortunately very little has been done so far for their welfare. Cow Service (Gaumata Seva) holds a very important and religious significance in the India psyche, still once they stop giving milk they become unviable to the owner. In general the practise is, either they are sent to the slaughter house or left on the street which gives rise to stray animals across the streets.

Gaushalas are considered to be the best option for the management of ever-growing stray cattle. One such shelter is the 136 year old, The Calcutta Pinjrapole Society, a non-profit organisation for cow shelter and protection, set up in July 1885. It was an endeavour of few likeminded Marwari businessmen who came forward for the protection of stray cows.

Mr. Sajan Kumar Bansal, Trustee, Calcutta Pinjrapole Society says “It brings us immense joy, to realise how far we have come at this juncture of our service. Today the Calcutta Society is the largest in eastern India and takes care of more than 7000 cows. He further added “The society office operates from Burrabazar and has 7 gaushalas in the outskirts — Kalyani, Raniganj, Liluah, Chakulia, Sodepur and in Hazaribagh. Mr. Bansal pointed out, the society is not restricted to the welfare of cows only, but also takes care of other stray animals too.

The society boasts of several care units for the cows which includes a full-fledged hospital too. With proper care and treatment the recovered cows are then sent either to their owners or are kept at the society itself. BSF personnel along with the local authorities, hand over cows which are found being smuggled to other neighbouring countries. Almost around 20,000 cows have been rescued till now by the BSF and local authorities till date.

Mr. Bansal added, since gaushalas have to maintain less remunerative animals and their primary purpose of the establishment has been the welfare of the cow, they need to be self-sufficient. He praised the donations that are made to the society and other local volunteers who come forward and join the care giving initiative of the society.

Mr. Sajan Kumar Bansal has also established a full-fledged R&D center at Pinjrapole Society which conducts research on new techniques and opportunities for commercial use of cow dung and urine. The learnings from this R&D are then explained to villagers. Cow urine can be used for making phenyls and insecticides apart from their usage in religious ceremonies and medicinal purposes. In an environment-friendly initiative, the Nimtalla crematorium in Kolkata is giving people the option of using cow dung cakes instead of wood and electric cremations. The cow dung can also be used as manures by farmers. Mr. Bansal expressed with proper care lives of tens of millions of cows have improved which also benefited the farmers by improving their productivity and profitability. The Urea collected from cow urine is now exported to other nations, which benefits the country too. This has been instrumental in changing the mind-set of the cattle owners.

The society also publishes a magazine titled Gausamvaad which captures the recent developments within the Gaushalas and new initiatives.

Every aspect of IG Drones’ unique flight control technology is analysed and adapted to create the most realistic simulated flying experience.

The Honourable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, visited IG Drone’s cubicle at the expo and enquired about the ground-breaking ingenious innovation and was excited to know about the made-in-India product.

The renowned Principal Secretary PMO, Shri PK Mishra, tried his hand on the stimulator and was perhaps quite impressed with the vision of this firm to empower around 10 million youth by providing them with this pristine drone technology.

In a flight simulator, one uses a controller connected to the computer in order to control the drone on-screen. In most cases, a flight simulator runs on a Mac or PC, although in some cases, a tablet or smartphone can be used for flight simulation. Most flight simulators will permit you to select the type of drone you want to simulate and choose flight modes based on the skills you want to develop.

Other than the reasons discussed above, there are even more reasons why the drone stimulator must be used. The most substantial reason for using a drone flight simulator is to avoid damaging a drone while learning to fly. With a flight simulator, drone flying practise can be done even in critical weather conditions.

With a flight simulator, one can start learning the ropes even before saving up enough to get all the gear that is eventually required. For professionals, flight simulators are a marvellous way to learn new skills in photography and videography, as well as all the other controls.

Some of the many salient features of this simulator are an authentic flying experience; real-life environment with a comprehensive physics engine, defence and industrial applications; and seamless connectivity.

Most essentially, just like how flying a drone is fun, flying on a virtual programme shares that same amount of joy. It has its differences, of course, in terms of the feel of the controls and the visual experience, but it’s still an incredibly refreshing way to spend a few hours, while also improving your real-life skills simultaneously.

The CEO of IG Drones, Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, is very passionate about creating a global drone force that will serve local communities needs and serve as a leader in applying technology to a variety of issues.

IG Drones is present all over the country, starting from the head office in Delhi and branch offices in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar. PAN India IG Drones has a presence in every sector of India, having completed over 300 projects.

Decorated with the highest distinction, it has been awarded by the Airwards, the first panoptic global awards programme of its kind dedicated to identifying, recognizing, and championing the breadth of positive drone use cases from around the world, as the best drone startup organisation in India.
