September 13th, 2022, Mumbai: Child Help Foundation (CHF), a Pan India non-profit organization, organized a unique Collection Drive or Say No to Plastic program to celebrate the occasion of World Humanitarian Day. On this day people collected plastic waste that could then be recycled and converted into materials and products for sustainable use. This drive was organized in the third week of August 2022 in Mumbai by Child Help Foundation(CHF). World Humanitarian Day (WHD) takes place every year on a specific theme.

According to the United Nations, the theme for this year is to show the importance, effectiveness, and positive impact of humanitarian work. The concept of WHD is based on a famous saying, “It takes a village to raise a child,” It aims at bringing together partners across the humanitarian system to advocate for the survival, well-being, dignity, and safety of people affected by any crises.

Child Help Foundation works for many social causes and takes the proactive initiative to save the environment and provide healthy living by organizing a Collection Drive. Child Help Foundation project team member Mrs. Shilpa Lokhande visited Dhyas Foundation, an NGO, and a partner in ‘Say No to Plastic’ initiative. Dhyas Foundation works towards reducing waste in Vasai. During this campaign, the volunteers of Child Help Foundation collected a lot of plastic waste from in and around their office space situated in Thane district, Maharashtra, and donated it to Dhyas Foundation for reusing the waste plastic.

Dhyas foundation will reuse the waste plastic, convert it into chairs, tables, and other school stationery, and return the finished recycled products to Child Help Foundation to be used in educational institutions such as Ashram Shalas. The members of Dhyas Foundation team, Ms. Kiran Potdar, Founder and President, and Ms. Manisha Gharat and staff, were also present to motivate the team.

Talking about Child Help Foundation’s initiative of ‘Say No to Plastic’, the CEO and Spokesperson Mr. Shaji Varghese said’ “Climate Change is something that has always affected the people. On this humanitarian day, we wanted to encourage people to completely go plastic free and adopt more sustainable methods of living. This collection drive was an initiative to encourage people to be aware and more giving to the community. We hope we as a community can help conserve the environment and be more grateful for nature’s bounty. Child Help Foundation has and will always work towards the conservation of the environment and also making people aware.”

Appreciating the contribution of Child Help Foundation towards the protection of the environment and their zeal towards World Humanitarian Day, the Founder of Dhyas Foundation, Ms. Kiran Potdar, said, “Dhyas Foundation appreciated the significant contribution of Child Help Foundation (CHF) and presented a token of appreciation to the organization for its consistent and honest efforts”.

World Humanitarian Day is also celebrated to commemorate the spirit of service and giving, and to carry forward the theme of this year’s humanitarian day, Child Help Foundation (CHF) volunteers conducted a ‘Paper Bag Making Activity’ in Murbad Ashram School in Thane District, Mumbai. Teaching children about the importance of the environment and sustainability is essential and the same thing was communicated to them through this activity. A total of 257 students from classes 8th,9th, and 10th enthusiastically participated in the activity. The students made different bags ranging from multipurpose bags to sanitary napkins disposal and more.

The activity was conducted to spread awareness about sustainable and recyclable goods and their suitability for the environment. Teachers, Principals, and Motilal Oswal Foundation’s Project Staff, enthusiastically participated in the event.

  • MOPA Airport will change the fortunes of Goa and Sindhudurg region

MOPA Airport will change the fortunes of Goa and Sindhudurg region

    Read Time:3 Minute, 9 Second

Panjim, September 10: The much-awaited MOPA project is expected to be operational soon. It is one of the region’s most anticipated projects, and rightly so. The current airport in Goa has been undeserving of the region. It does not have the requisite infrastructure nor scalability. With the MOPA airport, these problems will soon be a thing of the past. Analysts are expecting an influx of tourists to the entire Konkan belt. The result will be an overall development of the area. It is expected that this development will rub off on the real estate sector as well.

Property prices in the area will increase dramatically after operations begin, according to a study by 360 Realtors, one of India’s top real estate advisors. In the next 12 months, property values in the airport’s immediate vicinity, where the current average price per square foot is Rs 6,700, can increase by 27.8%. According to data by 360 Realtors, the average price of a home has grown over the last four years at a CAGR of 3.9 per cent. Following the opening of the airport, there will be an increase in real estate investment and tourism activity, which will be the cause of the price increase.

Average real estate prices in the neighbouring Sindhudurg region, which is also a popular location for second homes and natural resorts, may rise by 29.2 per cent yearly. Currently, the average cost per square foot is Rs 4,921. Property prices in Sindhudurg have increased on average at a CAGR of 6.8 per cent over the last four years.

Commenting on the MOPA Airport, Aditya Kushwaha, CEO and Director of Axis Ecorp says, “With the imminent inauguration of MOPA Airport, North of Goa and the neighbouring Konkan region are poised to experience a real estate investment boom. The infrastructure of a region is directly tied to the real estate industry. By constructing roads, motorways, and airports, numerous regions become more accessible. The holiday home market is already flourishing, and the aforementioned development will push the demand even further. Consumers looking for a sophisticated lifestyle similar to anywhere else on the globe will be increasingly drawn to this region.”

Axis Ecorp has several upcoming projects in this region, which include Axis Blues, Axis Yog Vilas, Axis Lake City and Axis Lake City Plaza. The company has already exhausted its inventory for Axis Blues and as the inauguration of the new airport is drawing close, there has been a strong uptick in the inquiries for the Axis Yog Villas and Axis Lake City. These projects are just 18km away from the greenfield project and thus the valuation for the project is expected to skyrocket in the days to come.

Vinit Dungarwal, Director of AMs Project Consultants, “Infrastructure projects like the metro and airports always have a cumulative effect on real estate development. Goa is a great option for those seeking a second home away from the hustle and bustle of a city. We are quite bullish about the prospective real estate initiatives in the state.”

Not just real estate prices but even rental prices in and around the year have seen a sharp uptick. Annual rental yields in the north Goa region are close to 4.1- 7.2 per cent. However, the yields around the MOPA are hovering around 6.7 per cent. Sindhudurg, on the other hand, is delivering outcomes north of 7.2 per cent. These are expected to rise even further once the MOPA airport becomes operational.

Arkastha Solar Firm provides Green Energy for the future.

September 8: Sustainable energy solutions for the future are more viable than before because companies like Arkastha have tapped renewable resources like solar energy to power the needs of the people. The increased demand for fuel consumption and inflated costs have made the general public resort to alternatives that can reduce power shortages in areas that lack infrastructure. Solar energy systems can resolve all these problems, and in 2018 Arkastha Solar, with its highly skilled team, has been installing and integrating solar system demands all over the country. Presently operating in 4 states and 15 cities, Arkastha has taken on the responsibility to help the nation to grow and achieve SDG goals through a transparent platform.

Leading this solar revolution in a big way, new generation CEO and Founder Vikrant Parashar knew that energy needs could only be met with environment-friendly solutions. His vision is to boost solar energy usage by offering the consumer the convenience of the deliverables through a straightforward process.

Arkastha passionately believes in providing clean, green electricity to not only the urban populace but to the remote areas of India. Through active promotion and planning, they worked on implementing 1000s of solar energy systems. The firm has a complete solar solution platform that caters to every aspect from design, delivery, installation, testing and maintenance. Each of the individual projects undertaken is customized to meet the requirements. Their easily approachable space has enabled the public to seek advice and energy solutions.

Arkastha has stood out from the rest of the solar industry because they are the World’s first online solar solution portal. This platform allows flexibility and convenience for consumers to place queries and order solar solutions or products online with just a click of a button. The immense trust shown by clients and other stakeholders has driven the company to envision bigger and better ideas for the future of the company. They have planned to develop, build, and operate utility-scale, commercial and industrial photovoltaic plants with a specialized design that can cater to most energy needs with a wider reach.

Arkastha always has valued quality assurance, which comes down to materials used while adhering to stringent industry standards for construction and implementation. A qualified engineer will ensure the system operates consistently and reliably. Every part of the process is meticulously curated, from the site visit by the engineer and comparison done on 3D site design and estimating the feasibility of the plant. When the PV systems are designed, the professionals check onto the Staad pro report to analyze the structure before the PV generation grid report is made. This gives estimates of the amount of energy consumption. A detailed shadow analysis is also done in video format. The financials are then discussed.

The endeavour allows impetus for economic independence for so many people. The company Head, Vikrant Parashar, has always felt the social responsibility to give back. It also stemmed from the fact that he had seen problems faced by the common public right from his teenage years made him work on a platform that enables an earning opportunity to all associate programs and other business associates.
